Burnt by the Sun To Reunite For Final Album
Burnt by the Sun's original line-up, including recently departed vocalist Mike Olender and drummer Dave Witte, will be reuniting (along with new guitarist Nick Hale) to write a final album for Relapse Records in 2006. After over a year of patting back and forth on the prospects for a reunion, the band has decided to work around conflicting schedules, careers and family obligations to write another record.
"After hearing the new material and thinking about what could be done, the feelings of leaving something unfinished made themselves very present and also re-confirmed the lost connection between us, said Witte. “I am happy that we have grown in the time that has past and will be able to finish what we started."
With Witte now based in Richmond and constantly on tour with Municipal Waste and Melt Banana, and Olender having limiting career obligations and commitments to Nora and For the Love Of, the band is going to do what it takes to satisfy its needs for a final record.
Fans can expect a conceptual continuation of the last record but much heavier music, in the spirit of the older material. "Frankly, the new material knocked me out," added Olender. "It is layered, dark and very heavy. It is music that speaks of the times we’re in."
Recording is expected in 2006. So far, one new track, "Tacolypse Now", has been written. The record will also feature a re-recorded track from the split ep with Luddite Clone.
Matt Bayles will once again be producing the band.
Amongst The Swarm Finish Demo, Seek Label

You can preview some of their demo material here.
Krisiun Complete Work On 'AssassiNation'
Right after wrapping up their last European headlining tour, Brazilian death metal outfit KRISIUN completed work on their new album, "AssassiNation", tentatively due late February via Century Media Records. After recording two albums in their native country, the trio went back to Stage One Studios in Bühne, Germany to work with Andy Classen — the same winning team responsible for 2000's "Conquerors Of Armageddon".
Commented KRISIUN drummer Max Kolesne: "'AssassiNation' is the heaviest album we have ever done. I can assure you that it was a top quality recording at Stage One Studios, this album captures all the fury and brutality of the band's live performances and it's also a great combination of heaviness and precision that we never had on our albums before. The album will be out in the beginning of 2006, and we're definitely gonna make a relentless round of live shows in Europe, so I see you all extreme metal maniacs on the road! Get ready for the 'AssassiNation'!"

God Among Insects Split With Threeman Recordings
Swedish extreme metal bands GOD AMONG INSECTS and THE PROJECT HATE, both of which feature guitarist Lord K (a.k.a. Kenth Philipson), have announced their split with the Threeman Recordings label. In virtually identical statements posted on the bands' respective web sites, they wrote, "Last week we told Threeman that [GOD AMONG INSECTS and THE PROJECT HATE] want out of the contract due to a lot of reasons. Label man [Alex Hellid, who is also ENTOMBED's guitarist] called me while K was in Holland and said that they were cool with it. Now we are just waiting for the official papers to make this go through. Hopefully they will come faster than the three years it took to get the contract.
"Why are we doing this?
"Because none of us are chuffed with how everything's being dealt with. [GOD AMONG INSECTS will] also pay back the money that they paid for the recording of 'Zombienomicon' and look for another label to release it.
"We thank Threeman for what they have done and wish them luck with any eventual new signings and whatnot. Hopefully they will have better finances and possibilities to take care of their future bands a bit better. We wish them nothing but the best."
Machinemade God Sign With Metal Blade Records
Metal Blade Records has announced the signing of the German metal act MACHINEMADE GOD.

Formed in early 2003, MACHINEMADE GOD have been able to showcase their energetic stage performance supporting numerous renowned national and international acts from both the metal and hardcore genres, including GOD FORBID, CALIBAN, HEAVEN SHALL BURN and AS I LAY DYING.
After releasing just one demo, MACHINEMADE GOD went to Denmark to record their much anticipated debut album, entitled "The Infinity Complex", in April/May 2005. For producer they chose no one less than Jacob Bredahl of HATESPHERE, knowing he was the right person to achieve the uncompromising sound they were aiming for. His mixing expertise, combined with the mastering skills of Ziggy at ZigZound Studios, made this effort one hell of a brutal metal record. More...

"What's happening? We're pulling into Tulsa, Oklahoma, and I've got my eyes peeled for that 900 ft. Jesus. I don't see anything. But hey man, if Jesus saves, I'd like to know where he shops...
"Our three shows in Texas were wicked indeed. Houston, Ft. Worth, and San Antonio, all righteous. Texas has always been a strange place to play, sometimes it's fully stormin', sometimes it's blah. This time it was rockin'. In Ft. Worth, we played this ex-movie theater, the Ridgelea. No lightshow to speak of, but FEAR FACTORY had a pretty stormin' slideshow, all thrown together on-the-fly by Burton [C. Bell, vocals]. Nice work, budday...
"In Houston, I got to hang with my bro Kevin Radomski from Pro-Mark Sticks, and he filled me in on the fact they're selling my signature sticks in the stores now, kind of a limited run, but still pretty neato for me! More...
