Dragonforce Part With Bassist

London-based "extreme power metal" band DRAGONFORCE have posted the following message on their official web site:

"Bass player Adrian Lambert has announced that he is to leave DRAGONFORCE with immediate effect. [Being] the father of a young son, the increasingly busy tour schedule of the band has precluded him from spending time with his child. The group would like to extend their best wishes for the future to Adrian and is currently seeking a new bassist. Former HEAVENLY/current MALADAPTIVE guitarist Frederic Leclercq will fill in on a temporary basis for their upcoming shows in the U.S. and Canada during November."

As previously reported, DRAGONFORCE have completed work on their eagerly anticipated third album, entitled "Inhuman Rampage". The follow-up to 2004's "Sonic Firestorm" contains eight brand new songs and will be released on January 9, 2006. The album recording sessions were made at Thin Ice Studios in Virginia Water (Surrey) and guitarist Herman Li's own studio in West London between April and September, while production duties were shared between Li, fellow axeman Sam Totman and keyboard player Vadim Pruzhanov.

"Inhuman Rampage" track listing:

01. Through the Fire and Flames
02. Revolution Deathsquad
03. Storming the Burning Fields
04. Operation Ground and Pound
05. Body Breakdown
06. Cry for Eternity
07. The Flame of Youth
08. Trail of Broken Hearts

The album will be released on CD and picture vinyl, with the CD featuring an enhanced section and other surprise goodies.

DRAGONFORCE will make their long-awaited U.S. live debut by playing a headlining show at the CBGB in New York on November 22. This will be DRAGONFORCE's only U.S. headlining concert this year.

Burst Complete New Video

Burst have completed shooting a video for "Where the Wave Broke," the lead-off track from the bands new record Origo.

Drummer Patrik Hultin comments, "The video shoot for 'Where The Wave Broke' was all in all a great experience. To have someone outside the band visualize our music was a new experience for us. To let go of a song and let someone else interpret it gives everything an entirely new feel, and judging from the sneek-peeks we´ve gotten, the end result will be stark, intense, and suggestive. Peter and Kim (Reinholdsson and Petersen, the video directors/producers of Harvest Light) and their dedicated crew really went out of their way with this."

Exclusive still shots of the video shoot can be viewed here. The video, the first from Origo and the band 's second overall, will make its international debut in November.

Children Of Bodom Hope To Play Ozzfest

MTV.com reports:

Finnish black-metal outfit Children of Bodom will launch a North American headlining trek on November 9 in Quebec, one that'll grind to a halt in New York on December 14. Bodom have recruited Trivium, fresh from this summer's Ozzfest, and Amon Amarth to open the tour's 27 dates. According to frontman and guitarist Alexi Laiho, Bodom had no involvement in setting things up. In fact he can't even recall what either band sounds like.

"To be honest I've heard [Trivium and Amon Amarth's] albums one time all the way through, and I was pretty drunk at the time," he confided, saying Bodom's management handled the tour's orchestration. "So I don't remember the music. I do remember it sounding cool. I'll wait to see what I think of them when I first see them live. Apparently Trivium's a lot bigger than we are in the States. So it feels a little weird that we're the headliners." More...
