An MP3 will be posted on Foreverunderground.com as soon as the mastering is finished. An exact release date is not set at this time but will be out in November.
Italian Manowar Spoof Band Are 'Gay' And Proud
Italian power metal band NANOWAR have spoofed a well-known macho heavy metal legend with their album "Other Bands Play ... Nanowar Gay". Not only does the album cover spoof MANOWAR's "Fighting the World" album sleeve, it also twists the well-known MANOWAR battle cry from "slay" to "gay" and portrays the heroes in suitable VILLAGE PEOPLE-style attire. Needless to say, the album, with songtitles such as "Tricycles of Steel" and "Power of the Power of the Power (Of the Great Sword)", is the best-selling item on the newly opened rockdetector.com indie CD store too.
Based in Rome, NANOWAR comprises vocalist Potowotominimak, guitarists Gatto Panceri 666 and Mohammed Abdul, with Uinona Raider on drums. The band also targets RHAPSODY, re-working "Emerald Sword" as "Emerald Fork".

Priest's Rob Halford Loses Voice In Atlantic City
A BLABBERMOUTH.NET reader reported the following:
"I was at the JUDAS PRIEST concert last night [October 9] at the Borgata Hotel in Atlantic City, NJ where JUDAS PRIEST performed (sort of).
"About four songs into their set, Rob Halford [vocals] came on stage with a mug of some liquid. While he was sipping away, he explained to the audience that he was suffering from a case of influenza. By the song 'Breaking the Law', he was looking for some breathing room for his voicebox. By the time he got to 'Screaming for Vengeance' he had pretty much lost his voice and it became an 'audience participation' rendition, waving the crowd on to sing for him. It was very obvious that he was struggling for most of the night to get the lyrics out and couldn't wait for the show to be over."
As previously reported, JUDAS PRIEST plan to reconvene after the Christmas holidays to begin writing a new album, the follow-up to this year's comeback CD, "Angel of Retribution". Halford told RecordOnline.com that the group never saw their reunion, in which he sang with them for the first time in 14 years, as a one-shot deal. "We don't want people to get the impression it's a grab-the-money-and-run thing," he said. "We missed making the metal together, and when we got back together, it was never for a quick fix. It was all about doing what was left to be done. There's more metal to make."
PRIEST are currently touring North America and perform tomorrow night (Tuesday, October 11) in Poughkeepsie, New York. After the trek wraps up on October 30 in California, the band will head to Russia and Eastern Europe.

Lemmy Comments On 'Bisexual' Internet Hoax
Swedish daily newspaper Dagens Nyheter conducted a brief interview last week with MOTÖRHEAD frontman Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister ahead of the group's two-show stint in the country as part of their ongoing 30th-anniversary tour. An excerpt from the chat follows (translated from Swedish):
Q: Theres' always stories about you in magazines and on the Internet. Do you follow that kind of stuff?
Lemmy: "I don't have a computer, so I can't follow the Internet much."
Q: Does it bother you when people tell stories about you that are not true?
Lemmy: "Yes, when I find out about it. Like that guy who made up a story that I'm supposed to be bisexual. I called him up and told him that he's writing stuff that is not true. 'Yeah, so what?' was his response. I said, 'Well, you can't collect your money if you have a screwdriver jammed through both your fucking kneecaps, can you?' He thought I had a point and wrote a retraction."
Q: How did you find out?
Lemmy: "Somebody told me. Somebody always brings me bad news. I think it's a fucking shame that someone would make things up to get a sensational headline. If it happened to someone unlike myself, who can hit back, that person's life could be destroyed. It's fucking disgraceful to use the power of the Internet for crap like this. It's a great tool for communication and people use it to spread child pornography and insults. Totally fucking brilliant."
