Philadelphia metal band, Left To Vanish, has issued the following update regarding their vocalist situation:
"This is a long overdue announcement! As some of you may or may not know, Keith Nolan left the band a couple months ago due to personal issues and to this day we are still very good friends. Keith has been a part of this band for almost 6 years! We thank him for his neverending support and dedication. We experimented with fill-ins after his departure until we found the right guy for the job. If you seen us on the Salt The Wound/Woe Of Tyrants Tour and/or NEMF 2009 you have seen our new vocalist John Walls. He has been a close friend of the band for years and has everything we've been looking for in a vocalist." More...

Jason Decay, frontman of Canadian traditional metal band Cauldron, has been evicted from his apartment due to a dispute over Metallica's music. As Jason explained, his neighbor was playing Metallica's "S&M" at 2 a.m. He continues," When I had enough and went down to confront him about it with a copy of "Kill 'Em All" explaining that if he's got to crank Metallica at 2 a.m., they have more than that symphony shit." The neighbor was insulted and argued with Jason before slamming the door in his face. Jason retrieved a hockey stick from his apartment and "smash[ed]" the neighbor's door. The landlord gave Jason a notice of eviction.
Jason Decay had to reside in the band's rehearsal space for a short time before moving in with a friend. He enjoys living there because it has "...way cheaper rent."

Touring is something that nothing compares to, but there's a feeling of almost being home that resonates with all of us. In a way the band has come full circle back to its original home. We started this band for fun, and it lead us to success. Writing this album has brought us back to the beginning. It has been fun, crazy, frustrating, insomniatic and even with the inevitable pressure, pretty carefree.” More...

Front man Craig Land of De Profundis has issued the following statement about completing the recording of a new album:
"Due to the frankly overwhelming response and phenomenal interest shown in our last missive by you, our lovely fans, I've taken over the mantle of conveying the latest De Profundis news while Roman buggers off on a well-earned holiday to the sunny climes of North Africa. Following his severe bout of cabin-fever, I'm not surprised he chose to holiday on a different continent with a view to getting as far away from his band mates as possible. But more on that later.
"As the title of this blog so mysteriously hints at, De Profundis have now completed the recording of album number 2 (tentatively titled 'The Second Album' as we haven't yet t agreed on a suitably killer title that will do the music justice...). Oh, and the mixing is almost done too. But first let me take you back to where Romans last blog left off. More...

This will be our first time performing on the East Coast and our first time sharing the stage with this legendary act. Needless to say, we are quite excited about having the opportunity to get out there and tear it up for everyone.
