Crucifist Announces New Album Details

Profound Lore Records have announced that they will be releasing the debut album "Demon Haunted World" from Rochester, NY’s Crucifist in North America. An MP3 of the song "Honor" from the new album can be found here. Profound Lore Records issued the following statement about the release:

"Entitled 'Demon Haunted World' and featuring bassist Danny Lilker of BRUTAL TRUTH fame and members of doom metal band ORODRUIN, Crucifist’s interpretation of old-school raw black metal reminisces the feeling brought upon us in the ancient days amongst elite acts as HELLHAMMER/CELTIC FROST, VENOM, BATHORY, AUTOPSY, and early DARKTHRONE. Alongside such references that can be found running rampant throughout the fisting glory that is 'Demon Haunted World', Crucifist also incorporate elements that reference NWOBHM while bringing in some doom n’ gloom ala BLACK SABBATH and the aforementioned Autopsy.

"Formed in 2004 and already having made quite a reputation within the underground (with a self released demo and being active on the live circuit), Crucifist are finally set to release their debut album to the hungry underground masses. More...

"The wait is finally over. Philly's underground legends, Goreaphobia are back with a vengeance. A vengeance entitled Mortal Repulsion. This long-awaited full-length debut from one death metal's pioneers is a bludgeoning, yet calculated, masterclass in old-school death metal. On August 18th, Goreaphobia and Ibex Moon Records will unleash the beast that is Mortal Repulsion and not a single soul will be spared.

"To coincide with the release of Mortal Repulsion, Goreaphobia has struck out on a North American tour with the equally legendary Master and labelmates Dreaming Dead. This trek across the States, the band’s first in over 17 years, will be more than just an opportunity to re-acquaint Goreaphobia with the hordes of maniacs who have kept their name alive throughout the years, but will also allow them to showcase new material from their highly anticipated full-length debut, Mortal Repulsion. If you consider yourself a fan of quality death metal, then you cannot miss this chance to see two of the 90’s most legendary names together on one stage! More...
