The Greek progressive metalcore band Mask of Prospero was built based on love for the human and the earthly element of life, for the feelings that spring from music, but also for the music that springs from this feeling. Oceans Of Slumber Confirmed For 70000 Tons 2023

Texan Gothic/doom metal outfit Oceans Of Slumber has been announced as the latest addition to the lineup for 70000 Tons Of Metal 2023. The voyage will take place from January 30th - February 3rd, sailing out of Miami, Florida and making a stop in The Bahamas before returning to the States.

Ravenous Posts New Music Video Online

Canadian power metal Ravenous is celebrating the one-year anniversary of their highly praised 2021 album "Hubris" with a new music video for their track "Claw Is The Law" that features guest vocals, accordion, and mandolin from members of The Dread Crew of Oddwood.

The video idea came from Wolfbeard O’Brady (Reece Miller - The Dread Crew of Oddwood, Frontman) and was fully edited/animated by him in celebration of the 1 year anniversary of Ravenous’ sophomore album "Hubris" and the 30-year anniversary of the Mortal Kombat video game.

"I’ve always wanted to do a fighting game music video, and I felt like this collaboration was a perfect opportunity to rep the over-the-top everything that is ‘Claw Is The Law’." comments The Dread Crew of Oddwood's Wolfbeard O’Brady.

Nailed To Obscurity Unveils New Music Video

Ahead of their European tour alongside Eluveitie, Amorphis and Dark Tranquillity German melodic death metallers Nailed To Obscurity have released a new single and video titled 'Clouded Frame'. A dark and sinister masterpiece, "Clouded Frame" combines the band’s signature growled vocals and lurching riffs with brooding melodies.

Raimund Ennenga:"Sometimes you struggle to get all the bits and pieces together to memorize a stroke of fate correctly, but you come to realize that certain details became unreachable. They stay hidden in the blind spot of your memory. You are standing in front of the 'Clouded Frame', but it’s just impossible to get a proper view of what’s inside.

Former Helix Guitarist Found Murdered

Daniel Fawcett, the guitarist of Canadian legends Helix from 2002-2004, has been found murdered in a London, Ontario park. He was reportedly found unresponsive on Sunday the 6th of November around 6:45am. Emergency crews began life saving measures but were unable to revive him. A message from Helix frontman Brian Vollmer reads:

"What a sad day... Dan Fawcett, who played guitar for Helix around 2000, was found murdered in a North London park. Dan was a sweet guy - always smiling - and a great guitar player as well. No details have been released yet, so there's little more I can say here. All I can say is that both Lynda and I are in shock. Stay tuned."

While there are very few other details available at the moment, police are treating the case as a homicide.
