The grand finale of Atrocity's Okkult trilogy will be available early next year. The new album, Okkult III, will be released on January 20 via Massacre Records. Today, the band released the official music video for the album track, "Born To Kill." You can check it out below.

Guest musicians on the "Okkult III" album include: Elina Siirala (Leaves’ Eyes, Angel Nation), Zoe Marie Federoff (Cradle Of Filth, Catalyst Crime), Robse Dahn (Equilibrium), Misstiq, Jonah Weingarten (Catalyst Crime, Pyramaze) as well as Igor Górewicz.

"Okkult III" is the culminating conclusion of the "Okkult" trilogy, and a self-proclaimed German death metal masterpiece. More...

Hollow Hour Releases New Music Video

Progressive metal band Hollow Hour, hailing from the outskirts of Copenhagen, deliver a curious mixture of heavy, progressive guitars and majestic drum rhythms combined with melodic and catchy choruses. With their modern and distinguishable sound, the young quartet now present their brand new single, "The Canyon". Watch the accompanying music video below.

“'The Canyon' tells a personal story of betrayal. I tried to put into words how much I needed forgiveness in order to process this feeling, which seemed like a never-ending canyon to climb”, vocalist Jonas Larsen explains.

With roots in the small, Danish town Køge, three of the current band members united in 2015, playing club shows and writing demo material under the name Mosaik. With an ambition of solidifying their sound to a broader audience, the quartet changed their name to Hollow Hour. Imperium Dekadenz Reveals New Album Details

Lords of black metal, Imperium Dekadenz, raise darkness from the depths of southwestern Germany’s Black Forest once more and proudly announce their new album, "Into Sorrow Evermore," to be unleashed on January 20, 2023 via Napalm Records. Immersed in the void, they approach themes of depression, death and desperation, luring the listener into their sorrowful reality of existence. True to the beginnings of the genre, Imperium Dekadenz stick to their roots and leave their own haunting mark on the genre, claiming their rightful place in the upper echelons of black metal.

Today the first single "Memories … A Raging River" is released along with an official video. The song acts as a brutal and atmospheric exclamation mark showcasing Imperium Dekadenz's unique style. Inspired by the Norwegian second-wave black metal bands of the '90s, the band has developed their own ambient sound with a strong emphasis on melodic structuring in their songwriting that immerses their compositions into grim and desolate soundscapes.

Imperium Dekadenz on "Memories … A Raging River":
"A look at a time that left no traces and was irretrievably swept away as if by a raging stream. Brachial guitar lines meet melancholic, filigree melodies, shaken by poignant, touching cries from an endless abyss. Resolutely we step into an approaching darkness." More...

"Dan died at 12:40 today.

Triptykon Plans To Record New Album Next Year

During a recent interview with Metal Injection, Tom G. Warrior, founder and frontman of Triptykon, as well as legendary bands Celtic Frost and Hellhammer, revealed that Triptykon will soon begin working on a new album, their first since 2014's sophomore effort, "Melana Chasmata." Speaking to Metal Injection, the Swiss musician said:

"I actually have no problem giving you an official statement. Why not? Last time we spoke was, of course, the beginning of the pandemic, and we thought we're going to use that time to write a new album. But as it turned out, the pandemic had the opposite effect on all of us. None of us felt inspired being confined to our homes, not having any contact, in person closer to each other, not having any contact to our audiences, not being on the stage, not traveling. I wrote one song during the two years of the pandemic, even though I wanted to write more.

"But that has changed now, of course, that we're back as an active band and we are actually going to record a new album next year. That's our solid plan, that we're actually working on it now. We have just played the last concert for the year and everybody is now going to their home or finishing up their individual ideas and then we will next meet to rehearse those. So the official plan is for us to finish it next year. And I'm not sure if it's going to be enough to release it next year, but we certainly will release new music next year, even if it's not a full album yet. We will definitely do an EP or something to show people that we are actually in the studio and the album is actually happening."

Uriah Heep To Release 25th Album In January

British hard rock legends and progenitors, Uriah Heep, has announced the release of their 25th studio album, "Chaos & Colour," set for January 27th via Silver Lining Music. A video for the first single, the buoyant and blistering "Save Me Tonight" ( by Natalia Jonderko Smiechowicz), can be found below.

"'Save Me Tonight' is another powerful melodic rock track which we have chosen to be the first single as well as the opening track of the album," says Mick Box, Uriah Heep’s venerable and effervescent founding member, "it is made for rock radio and will surely be included on our new set list in 2023."

“'Save Me Tonight' comes from a place of frustration and helplessness” adds co-writer and bass player Rimmer, “living through these unprecedented past couple of years but hanging on to this raging hope that we would all meet again! Once again, collaborating with Jeff Scott Soto has been a natural and very creative experience and the perfect platform for me to express these feelings and to carry on the Heep legacy."

"Chaos & Colour" is an album which bristles with explosive classic rock guitars, supreme harmonies, and Heep’s famously generous keyboard foundation . It is, unsurprisingly, an album that found its extra thrust during the COVID-19 pandemic, which was as bizarre for Uriah Heep as it was for humanity in general.

"The album title reflects that we were in chaotic times with being locked down, tours being cancelled, businesses folding, and all the chaos that was thrown into the world," explains Box, "and as far as I could see it, the only colour people had was through music. It helped so many people get through those difficult years, using that strength and power which music has, to make those bad times not quite so bad." More...
