In a press release issued from Anthrax, the band talks about their decision to keep their name despite recent cases of Anthrax in the US.

In light of current events, we are changing the name of the band to something more friendly, "Basket Full Of Puppies". Actually, just the fact that we are making jokes about our name sucks.

Newsted Open to Future Metallica Work

According to NME.com, Jason Newsted has said he would happily work with Metallica again in the future, despite walking out on the group. Jason has now said to MTV news that if the remaining members of the group approached him and the time was right, he may play again.

"Never say never. I would record and play with those guys whenever the time came if that's what they felt like doing. It has to come from them. They'd have to say, 'Jay, are you still into it?' And I would be. I'd be there 110 percent for them again."

Ozzy Show Changes It's Tune

I found this post at Bravewords. I thought it might help to clarify some of the rumors and name changes involving Ozzy and the gang.

The Merry Mayhem Tour featuring OZZY OSBOURNE, ROB ZOMBIE and MUDVAYNE kicks off on October 31st at the Tuscon Convention Center in Tucson, Arizona and wraps up on December 31st at the Desert Sky Amphitheater in Phoenix, AZ. Concertgoers will experience the sights and sounds of Xmas as the concourse area of each venue is transformed into Santa’s Grotto.

Drowning Pool Make Changes

Drowning Pool have had a change of plans and have now lined up the track "Sinner" as the second single from their Wind-Up debut of the same name. The song, which will also be featured in the upcoming new movie "The One", will have a clip lensed for it on October 16th-17th and as a result, the band have been forced to drop off the two aforementioned dates of their tour. In the meantime, the video which the band recently shot for the track "Tear Away" in Los Angeles, CA with director Glen Bennett, will now be used as the groups third single and will most likely hit radio stations and video outlets late this year, while "Sinner" is expected to go for adds in the very near future. In the meantime, three more dates have been added to the Music As A Weapon Tour, which features Drowning PoolDisturbed, Systematic, Stereomud and Adema, they are as follows:

November 12th Lowell, MA - Tsongas Arena
November 13th Montreal, QC - Metropolis
November 14th Toronto, ON - Warehouse

Enid Sign With Code666

After 2 albums on CCP records, Enid, the well-known German Band, signed a long-term deal with code666. They are now are in Mirrors Studio in Innsbruck (Austria) to record their first album for new label, titled "Seelenspiegel," scheduled for February 2002 on Digipack-CD. The album features Moritz Neuner, drummer of Abigor, Korovakill, DornenReich, Darkwell.
