Napalm Death Slams DVD
Napalm Death vocalist Mark “Barney” Greenway has slammed former label Earache Records over plans to release a DVD compilation of the band's promo clips.
Here's an except from an official statement from Greenway:
"In light of the current non-existent relations between Earache Records and Napalm Death, we cannot endorse this DVD in any way, shape or form. This is a blatant cash-in designed to maximize on the current resurgence of the band that is largely down to the band themselves — and certainly not Earache Records by any measure. It has not at any stage been put together with the assistance of Napalm Death members past or present, and if it really was a 'fan' package, this sort of thing would've been released ages ago."

COC to Replace Mudvayne
Ballabermouth.net reports that C.O.C. (Corrosion of Conformity) are strongly rumored to be replacing Mudvayne on the bill of the upcoming A Night Of Merry Mayhem tour, headlined by Ozzy and also featuring Rob Zombie and Soil. As previously reported, Mudvayne dropped off the A Pledge Of Allegiance tour due to personal reasons, which are rumored to be substance abuse-related.
Swedish Super-Group
Entombed's Jorgen Sandstrom (bass) and Peter Stjarnvind (drums) have teamed up with The Project Hate guitarist Kenth Philipson and Candlemass's Leif Edling to start a new side project. The as yet unnamed foursome will begin work as soon as possible on their debut album, which will be released in 2002 by Rise Above.
Primer55 March On
Primer 55 have confirmed that they will not be cancelling any of their upcoming shows as a result of the knee injury recently sustained by guitarist Bobby Burns. However it looks like he may require surgery in the future to fully recover.
Max Gets Domestic With Wu-Tang
Soulfly mainman Max Cavarela will be used by the Wu-Tang Clan's RZA to remix the track 'Domestic Violence' for an unspecified future project. The original appeared on RZA's 'Digital Bullets' album.
Saxon Confirm Euro Tour

Testament Download
A download of Testament's 2001 version of “Into The Pit”, taken from the upcoming First Strike Still Deadly release, can be obtained at Spitfire Records. This track is pretty kick-ass and I'm psyched for the full release of their re-made classics!
Ozzy Does Tonight Show
Ozzy Osbourne hasn't made a late night appearance (not including his infamous Howard Stern Show pop-ins) since Black Sabbath played David Letterman three years ago. But now Ozzy will be on the The Tonight Show with Jay Leno Friday, October 12. He's scheduled to play one song at the end of the program. The performance will mark Ozzy's first in the US. with Zakk Wylde since 1992.
