New Dokken Album & Lineup
The veteran LA melodic rockers, Dokken, are recording a new album called 'Ladaze'. This album features former Europe guitarist John Norum and bassist Barry Sparks, previously with Yngwie and Uli Jon Roth.
Apocalyptica's 'Cult' Comes to the USA!
Apocalyptica's latest album, "Cult," will finally be released in the US on November 6 by Spitfire records. I got lucky and picked it up months ago while getting married in Slovakia, not realizing it would not be available in the US immediately. This album is mostly original material and is heavier than their previous Metallica (and other) covers.

Kamelot and Axxis 2002 Tour
Kamelot and Axxis are making plans for their European tour in January/February 2002 . They plan to visit the following countries: Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, France and Great Britain. More info to follow.
Hatebreed Cancels Tour
Hatebreed have announced on their official website www.hatebreed.com, that they have dropped off the "God Hates The World", which features Slayer and Chimaira. A replacement act is expected to be announced shortly, with American Head Charge being a possible contender. It is rumored that the band have dropped off the bill to begin work on recording their long awaited new album "Perseverance", which is currently eyeing a March/April release through Stillborn/Republic/Universal.
Primer 55 Schedule Line-up
Primer 55 have lined up Reveille, Darwin's Waiting Room and Dog Fashion Disco to open their upcoming headlining dates, a firm schedule is expected to be announced shortly.
New Immortal CD
Legendary Norwegian black metallers IMMORTAL have completed work on their new album, entitled Sons Of Northern Darkness, at Abyss Studios with producer Peter Tagtren. Recorded over a one-month period, Sons Of Northern Darkness will hit the shops worldwide on February 4th/5th of through Nuclear Blast Records.

KITTIE will be hosting the MTV2 Rock Show on Tuesday, November 13th at 9:30 PM EST.
Machine Head Undercover
MACHINE HEAD will perform a headlining show under their not-so-secret moniker TEN TON HAMMER at the Pound in San Francisco on Wednesday, October 31st. AS they did back in 1998, when they last appeared under this name (when they were joined on stage by SLAYER guitarist Kerry King for a rendition of SLAYER’s “South Of Heaven”), MACHINE HEAD will perform loads of covers and will throw in a bunch of as-yet-unspecified surprises into their set, none of which are part of the group’s regular headlining performance.
Metallica Reunion?
Citing “inside sources in the METALLIcamp”, unofficial METALLICA site Inter Sandman has reported that former METALLICA bassist Jason Newsted “has been asked by the band to rejoin them in the recording sessions for the new album, due sometime in late 2002.” In other news, METALLICA spokesperson Sue Tropio was quoted in a MEGADETH article that was published in The New York Post on Sunday, October 14th as saying that METALLICA and MEGADETH may end up touring together in the not-too-distant future. "Anything can happen — there's a lot of love between METALLICA and MEGADETH right now," stated Tropio.
