Vacant Stare Sign Deal
London bruisers Vacant Stare have at long last signed a Record Deal, when they chose to put pen to paper with growing UK Label Copro Records. The band will enter the studio in December to lay down their debut album, as yet untitled. The album will be recorded at Philia Studios in Oxon and Backstage in Ripley, and Production will be handled by Andy Sneap, who produced the bands demo two years ago.
System Of A Down - New Single / Add Dates
System Of A Down have lined up the track "Toxicity" as their next single. A video for the song is expected to be filmed shortly, with band bassist Shavo Odadjian making his directorial debut helming the clip. In other news, the group have announced a few more radio shows, dates are as follows:

December 07th San Jose, CA - Compaq Center

Ozzy - New Video / Tv Show
Ozzy Osbourne is currently meeting with prospective directors to lens the video for his new single "Dreamer". It is expected to be shot in the near future. In other news, the Osbourne family's daily workings are being filmed as of late for a forthcoming reality TV show based on a celebrity family, which will air on MTV in February.
Seth Record New Album
French black metal band Seth will record their new album, tentatively titled Divine X, in December at Holland’s Excess Studio. However, contrary to previous reports, vocalist Vampyr Vicomte Arkames, whose departure from the band was announced earlier in the year, will not partake in the upcoming recording sessions. No replacement for Arkames has yet been announced.
The Chicago Underground
One of the most popular college stations in the Chicago land area, WRRG-River Grove 88.9 FM has added an unsigned band show on Friday mornings from 8-10 AM. Raised Fist Enter Studio
Sweden’s RAISED FIST will enter the studio during January with producer Daniel Bergstrand (i.e. STUCK MOJO, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD) to record their brand new CD for Burning Heart Records, to be issued during May.
From Fu Manchu To Queens Of The Stone Age
Drummer Brant Bjork has quit FU MANCHU to join the QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, thereby effecting a reunion with his former KYUSS bandmates Josh Homme and Nick Oliveri. QOTSA are still in the recording studio, working on their new album, entitled Songs For The Deaf, with producer Eric Valentine for a mid-2002 release.
