Barium Looking for New Vocalist
Maine's Barium recently parted ways with vocalist Nick Noble due to an "array of personal problems." Obviously, the band is now looking for a replacement. Any interested candidates can email the band here. In related news, Barium is scheduled to begin work on their sophomore release (following their debut on Brutal Records earlier this year) with producer Zeuss (God Forbid, Shadows Fall) later this month. As for live shows, this Fall, Barium will be on tour with Dead To Fall, featuring minor stints by Fordirelifesake and Beyond The Sixth Seal. Here is the tentative schedule: More...
Venom's Antton Joins Nu-Future Cowboys
Venom drummer Antton has joined a Newcastle, UK-based band called Nu-Future Cowboys. Antton will remain a member of Venom, who are currently on hiatus while frontman Cronos continues to recover from an injury sustained in a climbing accident earlier in the year.
Paradise Lost Single Cover Posted
The cover artwork for Paradise Lost's new single, "Erased", has been posted online at this location.
Paradise Lost's ninth studio album, Symbol Of Life, is due for release in Europe on October 21st.
Stampin' Ground to Play Warm Up Date
Britain's Stampin' Ground have arranged a one-off UK show as a warm-up for their upcoming Eastpack Resistance dates. The show will take place on Saturday, November 23rd at Concorde 2 in Brighton. Support will come from Incoherence.
Amorphis Finish Song for Soundtrack
Finland's Amorphis have recorded a track called "Kuusamo" for the soundtrack to the Finnish movie Menolippu Mombasaan.
In other news, the band will appear at the Skopje Trade Fair at Hall 1 in Macedonia on November 30th.
