Infernal Majesty Finalize New Record Deal
Long-running Canadian thrashers Infernal Majesty are in the process of finalizing a record deal for the release of their new CD, "One Who Points To Death". The album, which clocks in at 47 minutes of "old-school thrash", is tentatively scheduled for release in December. More information will be made available shortly.

Soul Of Darkness Recording New Album
The new album of Soul Of Darkness is well under way. The album is titled "Torment In Withering Existence" and the guys are already in the studio recording. The album is scheduled for an early 2004 release through Skyscraper.
Lord Belial's Original Drummer Rejoins the Band
Swedish black metallers Lord Belial have been rejoined by original drummer Micke Backelin. The band's previous skinsman, Daniel Moilanen (half-brother of former Shotgum Messiah guitarist Harry K. Cody), left the group in early October, less than four months after being recruited to replace Backelin. No reason was given for his departure.
As previously reported, Lord Belial recently entered Los Angered Recording in Angered (Gothenburg), Sweden to begin recording their new album, tentatively titled "The Seal Of Belial". The self-produced effort is being engineered by Nicklas Rudolfsson and Andy La Rocque (King Diamond), and will be mixed by Andy. A late 2003/early 2004 release through Regain Records is expected.
The 69 Eyes Riding High on Finnish Charts
The 69 Eyes' "best of" CD, "Framed In Blood - The Very Blessed Of The 69 Eyes", has spent the past two weeks at position No. 6 on the Finnish Album chart after being released on September 26 through Gaga Goodies/Poko Rekords/EMI. The group's first-ever DVD, "Helsinki Vampires", was issued the same day. "Framed In Blood - The Very Blessed Of The 69 Eyes" is a compilation CD featuring The 69 Eyes' "goth 'n' roll classics," while "Helsinki Vampires" includes a live performance filmed at Tavastia in Helsinki last November along with all of the band's promo video clips and other extra material. 2Ton Predator Post "Bone Brigade" Video Online
Sweden's 2Ton Predator have released a downloadable version of their new music video, "Bone Brigade", in Windows Media format at this location (file size: 8.9 MB). "Bone Brigade" comes off the group's third full-length album, "Demon Dealer", which is currently available through Denmark's Diehard Music. The follow-up to 2001's "Boogie" was recorded at Antfarm Studios in Århus, Denmark with producer Tue Madsen.
2Ton Predator are presently in the planning stages of a European tour, which is set to take place in early 2004. Some warm-up dates are also in the works in their hometown of Örebro, Sweden in late November of this year and in January 2004 in Germany.
Acheron Redesign Website; Sign Merch Deal
American black/death metal legends Acheron have revamped their web site, which they have dubbed "Ad Maiorem Satanae Gloriam". This site focuses on the band from their reformation in 2000 until now and features updated news, information, photos, and all kinds of other "diabolical delights." Also included is a new Message Board and Chat room. Those who want information of the band's past can still go to the Tribute To Acheron "One With Darkness" web site.

Scarve to Release Digipak Version of New Album
France's Scarve will release their third album, "Irradiant", in a special, limited-edition digipak version, featuring loads of bonus stuff, including the video for "Emulate The Soul". The follow-up to 2002's "Luminiferous" was recorded at Dug-Out Studio in Uppsala, Sweden with producers Daniel Bergstrand (Meshuggah, Strapping Young Lad) and Örjan Örnkloo (Misery Loves Co.) and features a guest appearance by Defleshed vocalist/bassist Gustaf Jorde.
"We've received the final mastered version of 'Irradiant' and it SMOKES!" the band write on their web site. "Thomas Eberger at Cutting Room has succeeded in perfecting the wall of sound beyond belief. Furthermore, the amazing futuristic 3D artwork created by Dennis Sibeijn @ DamnEngine (who also handled the incredible graphics on Aborted's latest offering) is nearing completion."

Twilight Ophera to Offer New Album in 2004
Twilight Ophera, the Finnish band who feature in their ranks Soulgrind second guitarist Toni Näykki and Soulgrind mastermind Lord Heikkinen, have pushed back the projected release date of their third album, "The End Of Halcyon Age", to early 2004. The delay is due to the fact that the band have taken longer than expected to negotiate a new deal for the album's international release.
