Cattle Decapitiation Comment on Award
Cattle Decapitation's Travis Ryan has issued the following message from the road: “We heard that we won the San Diego Music Award. We want to thanks the San Diego Music Award Academy. We are really flattered. The shows have been going great. We have been trying out some new songs from Humanure and getting great reception from our fans. We are really stoked.”
As previously reported, Cattle Decapitation recently finished filming their forthcoming video for ‘To Serve Man’. The clip includes some live footage from the bands Seattle show with Gwar as well as all sorts of disturbing tidbits of carnage and horror one should expect from the group.
The video will debut soon.
Gorgoroth Vocalist's Trial Postponed
According to Gorgoroth’s official website, vocalist Ghaal’s trial that was scheduled to begin on October 20th has been postponed.
The prosecutor could not participate at this time because of health conditions. A new date has not yet been set.
As previously reported, Gaahl is accused of "unordinary vile use of violence." He risks a six years sentence if convicted.
Kimera Again Joining Mork Gryning for Tour
Guitarist Kimera (Peter Nagy) will again do guitar duty on Mork Gryning’s upcoming tour, according to a posting at the group's website.

Tiamat to be Featured on German TV Special
Tiamat frontman Johan Edlund met up with Germany TV show Schattenreich’s gothic girl Medusa for a very interesting interview that will be part of a one hour special airing on Onyx TV on November 2nd at 6pm (CET). The show reruns Wednesday,, November 5th at 8pm (CET) and Saturday, November 8th at 2am (CET).
Besides the interview you will also see the following Tiamat videos: ‘Whatever That Hurts’, ‘Gaia’, ‘Cold Seed’, ‘Brighter Than The Sun’, ‘Vote For Love’ and the new single, ‘Cain’, from the new album, Prey.
Further you can witness the German TV premiere of NEVERMORE´s ‘Enemies Of Reality’ video and clips from other artists. Kataklysm Delay New Album Until March
Canadian death metallers Kataklysm have set March 8, 2004 as the release date through Nuclear Blast Records for their new album, "Serenity In Fire".
The much-anticipated effort will be released as a limited-edition double-CD, containing the following video clips: "In Shadows & Dust", "The Awakener", and two new video clips from the upcoming album: "As I Slither" and the movie theme song "The Night They Returned". The latter will be filmed in Montreal on November 20. The clip will contain band shots in the studio and movie excerpts. The bonus CD will also contain such goodies as wallpaper, screen saver and pictures. The artwork duties have once again been handled by acclaimed artist Thomas Ewerhard (Hypocrisy, Amon Amarth).
As previously reported, the follow-up to 2002's "Shadows and Dust" will be recorded at Studio Victor in Montreal during November. The album will be produced by Kataklysm guitarist Jean-Francois Dagenais and will be mixed at Wildsound studio in St-Zenon, Quebec.

Decapitated Finalize Negatron Tracklisting
Polish tech-death masters Decapitated have finalized the track listing for their third full-length album, "The Negatron", due in February 2004 through Wicked World/Earache Records.
The follow-up to 2002's "Nihility" was recorded at Hertz Studio in Poland with engineers Slawek and Wojtek Wieslawski and is being described by bassist Martin as "very very strong," with a thick guitar sound.

Original Black Dahlia Murder Members Return
The Black Dahlia Murder have been rejoined by original members Trevor Strnad (vocals) and Dave Lock (bass). The group are currently preparing for their appearance at the New Jersey Metal & Hardcore Fest in November and their three-week run of dates with Himsa and Freya in December.
Commented Strnad, "It is my pleasure to announce the return of Dave and myself to The Black Dahlia Murder fold. This lineup is a family, and the band cannot exist any other way. We've been practicing on a more rigorous schedule, and vast improvements have been observed on all fronts. We've started writing for the second release, and things are looking excellent so far. Prepare for a more precise and vicious BDM."
Cancer to Headline Black Winter Day Fest
Reformed U.K. death metallers Cancer have been confirmed to headline "Black Winter Day", an all-day extreme metal festival set to take place on December 13 at the Empress in Bradford, England. Other bands scheduled to perform at the event include The Enchanted, Shallow Grave, Liquefied Skeleton, Cruel Humanity, Khang, Conquest of Steel, Bumsnogger and Bloodsteam.
Cancer's current lineup — vocalist/guitarist John Walker, drummer Carl Stokes, bassist Adam Richardson, and guitarist Rob Engvikson — are currently working on a new EP, "Corporation$", which they plan to release in early November to coincide with their upcoming reunion dates.

H.I.M. Announce December show in London
Finnish goth-metallers H.I.M. have lined up a one-off show at the London Astoria on December 19. In other news, the group's previously announced gig at the Birmingham Academy on January 25 has been cancelled. No reason was given for the cancellation.

Scarve Set Release Date for New Album
France's Scarve have set a January 26, 2004 release date through Listenable Records for their third album, "Irradiant". As previously reported, the CD will be issued in a special, limited-edition digipak version, featuring loads of bonus stuff, including the video for "Emulate The Soul".
The follow-up to 2002's "Luminiferous" was recorded at Dug-Out Studio in Uppsala, Sweden with producers Daniel Bergstrand and Örjan Örnkloo and features a guest appearance by Defleshed vocalist/bassist Gustaf Jorde.
