Hardline Writing Songs

Brothers Johnny and Joey Gioeli have finally started the songwriting of the new HARDLINE album together with guitarist Josh Ramos. Johnny promises to deliver songs closer to the debut album feel with more melodic hooklines but still with big guitars and sound. Recordings are planned to start in early 2004 in Los Angeles for a release tentatively planned for the following summer.

'The Raging Fire' of Seventh Key

Mike Slamer is very busy putting finishing touches to the final mixes of the forthcoming SEVENTH KEY album, which is going to be entitled: “The Raging Fire”. The CD shall include the following songs: Always From The Heart; An Ocean Away; It Should Have Been You; Love Train; Pyramid Princess; Run; Sin City; The Raging Fire; The Sun Will Rise; Winds of War; You Cross The Line. European version of the album will add as bonus track: The Storm Rages On. The album will also include a multimedia bonus video for the song Always From the Heart and a 15 minutes interview with Seventh Key mainman and singer Billy Greer. Plans are made to publish the cd in early 04 on King Records in Japan and Frontiers Records in the rest of the world.

Slipknot Won't Rush New Album

Slipknot's new album, scheduled for release early next year, has neither a title nor a definite release date yet. "If you rush something it's going to sound rushed," frontman Corey Taylor tells RollingStone.com, dismissing the long break between Slipknot records. "There's no way we're putting something out without everyone being 100 percent sure, including Rick. He knows that if you push an artist, all that's going to do is block him. The kids have been there since day one, and they know if it's taking us a while, it's because we want to make sure we've got the best product that we can. Our kids deserve nothing fu**ing less than that, and I refuse to give them anything less."

Leash Law Sign With Black Lotus Records

Leash Law, the new Florida-based group featuring vocalist Wade Black (ex-Crimson Glory, Seven Witches), guitarist Rick Renstrom (Rob Rock), drummer Richard Christy (Iced Earth, ex-Death), bassist Stephen Elder (Rob Rock), and guitarist Emo Mowery (Tiwanaku, ex-Nocturnus), have signed a two-album deal with Greece's Black Lotus Records.

The group's as-yet-untitled debut album is currently being recorded for a February 2004 release. LEASH LAW's recently recorded demo cut, "Fight", is available for listening in Real Audio format at this location.

Skew Siskin Album Date Pushed Back

Germany's Skew Siskin, the high-octane rock 'n' roll band fronted by the "ball-busting" Nina C. Alice, have pushed back the release date of their new album, "Album Of The Year", to November 24 through ulfTone Music.
