Now Brides of Destruction
First they were Cockstar. Then Motordog. Now the band featuring Motley Crue’s Nikki Sixx and LA Guns’ Tracii Guns, have had another change of name. So please welcome the Brides Of Destruction (also including ex-Motley vocalist/guitarist John Corabi, Adema drummer Kris Kohl and singer London). I think their name confusion has about cancelled out their individual name recognition by this time... Just put out a record already.
Staind Starts New Label
Staind frontman Aaron Lewis is the latest musician to start his own label. Currently called ADD, the first signees are a band called Lo Pro, featuring former Ultraspank frontman Pete Murray.

Queen Honored
Queen are to be honoured with a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. The ceremony will happen on October 18, with both Brian May and Roger Taylor in attendance. The band become the 2,207th recipients of this award. And on November 6, the band will be paid a further tribute when ‘The Queen Symphony’ is performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at London’s Royal Festival Hall. Composed by Tolga Kashif, this is a six-movement piece that is inspired by Queen songs. This will be released by EMI on November 4.

All is Suffering Complete New Album
The new full length from All Is Suffering is finished and will be released on October 29th. The title of the album is the lengthy The Past: Vindictive Sadisms Of Petty Bureaucrats."

Dismember Set Album Title; Plan DVD
Dismember have set Where Ironcrosses Grow as the title of their forthcoming studio album, tentatively due in early 2003. A DVD is also in the works, spanning the band's entire history and featuring loads of behind-the-scenes and home video footage. Dying Fetus Drop off No Mercy X-Mass Festivals
Dying Fetus have withdrawn from the upcoming No Mercy X-Mass Festivals 2002 "due to problems beyond our control," according to the band's official web site. "We apologize for this but it was something out of our control. We will give you more details as we get them."
No Mercy X-Mass Festivals 2002 is set to include appearances by Six Fett Under, Marduk, Immolation, Kataklysm, Hate Eternal, Impaled Nazarene, Macabre, and Ragnarok.
The Crown to Sell Copies of Orig. Demo
Sweden's The Crown are offering 33 copies of the original 1994 classic demo Forget The Light for $6 apiece via their official web site. Interested parties should send an e-mail to merch@thecrownonline.com, wait for a reply, and send $6 (worldwide) to the address on the merchandise page on the band's official web site. If the order hasn't arrived within 10 days after the reservation, the order will be cancelled.

Kult Ov Azazel Prepare New CD
South Florida black metallers Kult Ov Azazel are due to enter the studio on October 28th to begin the recording process for their new album, titled Oculus Infernum, for an early 2003 release through Arctic Records.
In other news, the group's planned split 7" with Germany's Graven through Autopsy Stench Records has been "postponed until further notice," according to the band's official web site. More...
Amon Amarth to play show for Close-Up
Amon Amarth will perform at a party for the Swedish metal magazine Close-Up on November 28th at Debaser in Stockholm. Doors open at 8:00 p.m. No advance tickets will be available for the show.
