Sifting Releases "Nothing But Us" Video

Venezuelan-American progressive metal outfit Sifting just released an emotional video for new single "Nothing But Us." The video deals with challenging social issues such as bullying and rejection, by showing that it’s okay to be yourself, no matter what society expects of you.

The video was directed by Alejandro Fumero Gil, and "Nothing But Us" is the second single taken from upcoming full-length album "Not From Here." The album was produced by Ryan Williams (Velvet Revolver, Rage Against the Machine), and Steve Evetts (Senses Fail, Suicide Silence), and is planned for worldwide release on September 29th, 2017 via Eclipse Records.

“Sometimes, we feel like we may not fit in, or that we are pushed to be something or someone other than who we are” says vocalist Eduardo Gil. “It’s easy to get so wrapped up in pleasing our friends, families, and co-workers, that we actually forget who we are. How can we enjoy life if we aren’t true to ourselves? We wrote this song about these feelings, to remind people that being different and unique is what makes life exciting. Without individuality, the world would be a very boring place. Our message to everyone is to find yourself and follow your heart. Only you know what that is… once you figure that out, go and take it!” More...

Morass Of Molasses Announces Lineup Change, Tour

Hot on the heels of a blistering performance on the Sophie Lancaster Stage at Bloodstock 2017, the Reading-based stoner/blues/doom outfit Morass Of Molasses just announced the six date "Motherfuzzers" tour.

Due to take place at the end of September, it will also feature seasoned touring veterans Trevor’s Head and new London based upstarts Green Lung. The band will be touring in support of recently-released album "These Paths We Tread."

There have been changes going on behind the scenes since this year’s Bloodstock appearance. Drummer and founding member Chris "The Beast" West will be moving on from the band to pursue other adventures, with long-time band friend Raj Puni taking up the mantle of the Morass Of Molasses stick-smith-extraordinaire.

Bones (vocalist & guitarist) had this to say: "It is an exciting time of evolution for the band. Bloodstock this year was a real milestone for us, and with the change of lineup, the stars seem to have aligned to lead us into the next phase. We all wish Chris good luck in whatever he chooses to do next. He will always be our brother." More...

Signs Of The Swarm Releasing New Album

Pittsburgh death metal squad and recent Unique Leader signees Signs Of The Swarm will release latest full-length, "The Disfigurement Of Existence," on November 3rd.

The ten-track offering was mixed and mastered by Phil Pluskota (Abiotic, King Conquer) of Sonic Assult Studios in Cape Corral, Florida, features a guest appearance by Dickie Allen (Abiotic, Bludgeoned Beyond Reason), and comes swathed in the cover art of Par Olaffson.

Offers Signs Of The Swarm vocalist CJ McCreery, "Our first album 'Senseless Order' was mainly to get the point across that we know how to bring the heavy. A lot of the songs were fairly slow and nothing really stood out as far as appealing to anyone more than the standard 'deathcore' fan base.

"For 'The Disfigurement of Existence,' we all dove into our own craft and stepped our game up one-hundred-percent individually to really bring this album together and be more than just a standard 'deathcore' band. We got our new guitarist (Jacob Toy) and drummer (Jimmy Pino) right when we started the writing process for TDOI and immediately realized that all of our minds working together could make an absolutely insane album, and I feel like we accomplished that goal. The guitar riffs are way more intricate, Jimmy's drumming is fucking batshit crazy, and I made sure to really step it up vocally and lyrically.

"An unbelievable amount of work, sweat, and tears -- and probably blood at some point too -- went into this album and we are so excited to finally release it to everyone and show what we are now capable of. We cannot wait to see what the near future holds and are extremely excited to tour new places and meet new fans. The amount of support we got in the last year is so incredibly heartwarming and all of us are blessed beyond words to have such awesome fans and be where we are right now in our careers. A huge thanks to Unique Leader Records for believing in us and having us join the team to make this album possible. We're just getting started." More...

Imperialist Announces Debut Album

Black metal band Imperialist will unleash debut album "Cipher" on November 28th, 2017. Check out the cover art and track listing below.

Imperialist was established in Los Angeles in early 2013 by Sergio Soto. Once the compositions had been crafted, Sergio called upon Rod Quinones, a long-time friend who had been playing the drums for over a decade due to his extensive training in drumline and his high school marching band.

Soto and Quinones quickly gathered an ease in working through the compositions and decided to request for Bryant, the other half of the Quinones, to join them as the second pair of virtuosic strings. Once the songs had been further conquered, they gained Adrian Castaneda on bass, as he had learned bass early on in his studies, and was ready to transition to a more serious target.

At the beginning of 2017, Imperialist ventured to Trench Studios to record and mix this debut full-length album with John Trench in Pomona, CA. "Cipher" was mastered by Ken Sorceron (Abigail Williams, The Faceless, Aborted). More...

In Twilight's Embrace Streams "The Great Leveller"

Ahead of the release of fourth album "Vanitas," In Twilight's Embrace today unveils next single “The Great Leveller, which” is streaming below. Vocalist Cyprian Lakomy comments on the track:

"There is a thread which links this one with the first single, The Hell of Mediocrity. Although the title phrase is often used to portray death itself, it also reflects the sheep mentality versus free spirit, mass versus individual and, finally, the idolisation of the lowest common denominator as opposed to independent thought and action. From the very beginning, until the very end, this bitter undercurrent is present in every single line and note on Vanitas."

1. The Hell of Mediocrity (song streaming here)
2. Fan the Flame
3. As Future Evaporates
4. Trembling
5. Flesh Falls, No Ghost Lifts
6. Futility
7. The Rift
