Fatally Yours Premieres "Another You" Video

We're kicking off this dreary Monday morning with some upbeat hard rock from Maryland crew Fatally Yours.

Today we're excited to officially premiere the band's new music video for "Another You," directed by Matt Gischel. Check it out below, and if you like what you hear, be sure to follow the band at Facebook here.

Hailing from Baltimore, Fatally Yours consists of Billy Fisher (ex-aFREUDIANSLIP) and Keith Thompson (ex-Bleed the Dream) on vocals, Christian Rivera (also ex-Bleed the Dream), on guitar, Justin Posner (ex-Rookie of the Year) on drums, and Chuck Moore on guitar and keys.

Christian Rivera comments on thew new clip: "The video was filmed at Angel's Rock Bar in Baltimore, MD by 818 Digital Media. We wanted to capture the essence of what a good rock show is like in our hometown of Baltimore, MD, so we decided to shoot one of our shows, unscripted and on the fly.

"'Another You' is a song about self-realization. It’s the Devil that tempts you and the Angel that reminds you. It’s the tale of a struggling heart that can’t seem to fly straight, no matter how much he loves his partner. Temptation leads this dark soul away from his love, but he always returns to be saved by her. Another You is a mid-tempo bruiser that embodies the struggle of a tortured soul.

"We're still working in the studio, however, we are taking a break from that to play our 5-year anniversary party at the Metro Gallery in Baltimore, MD on 10/28. Also appearing are Outerloop Records band, Megosh and Crashing Atlas. " More...

On "Gulag" the band commented: "'Gulag' has a definite old-school European heavy metal vibe to it. The song shines a light on the hypocrisy of collectivism, and takes a stand for the one who lives and thinks for one self, not for ideology or dogmas of the masses. As one can see in the lyric video for the song most members of Ram were raised during the golden age of home computers!"

The track listing for the album is:

2. On Wings of No Return

Midnight Sin Issues "Game Over Fame" Video

Italian hard rock act Midnight Sin released a video clip for the new single "Game Over Fame." The song is the new single from the band's upcoming new album "One Last Ride," which is set for release on October 13th via Scarlet Records.

Midnight Sin brings back the sound of street rock with powerful and catchy songs, shocking lyrics, mind blowing choruses and a sexy attitude that brings back the energy and hedonism of what was called hair metal.

The band released the debut album "Sex First" back in 2014, followed by the EP "Never Say Never" in 2016 and they are now ready to release "One Last Ride," which has been described as the perfect combination of 80’s Sleaze Rock, modern Hard Rock and AOR. These 10 new tracks definitely leave a mark, being at the same time very energetic and sensual, catchy and loud: the perfect soundtrack for certain 'duties' which are usually performed at night.

The track list for "One Last Ride" is:

1. Day Zero
2. Loaded Gun
3. Land of the Freak
4. Game Over Fame
5. Send Me A Light

Gothminister Hides From "The Sun"

Gothminister Bjørn Alexander Brem has returned with the new album "The Other Side," which drops on October 13th via AFM Records. Check out the new single/video clip "The Sun" in the player at the bottom.

"The Other Side" was produced, mixed and mastered by Henning Verlage (Unheilig, Eisbrecher) and exceeds even his highest expectations. Powerful metal riffs march relentlessly arm in arm with huge orchestras and heavenly choirs.

The Master himself reveals an astonishing range of vocal-art: from the deepest Gothic-dungeons up to the higher spheres of steaming Rock.

"The Other Side" is about spiritualistic seances and supernatural experiences. And again, Gothminister find it in the dark and unknown, where the greatest inspiration lies from within the motto Happiness In Darkness, as he sings in the opening track “Ich will alles” (I want everything):
“Cause I have darkness on my mind - It is the sign of the times.”

The track listing for "The Other Side" is:

1. Ich Will Alles
2. The Sun
3. Der Fliegende Mann
4. Aegir
5. Red Christ
6. We Are The Ones Who Rule The World
7. All This Time
8. Day Of Reckoning

Corpse Garden To Release New Album "IAO 269"

Latin American death metal act, Corpse Garden, will be releasing the third album "IAO 269" in November 2017 via Godz ov War Productions on CD, vinyl, cassette and digitally (exact date TBA). Check out the new track “Selenomantic Ecstasies” in the player at the bottom.

"IAO 269" follows up conceptually on the previous album, "Entheogen" (2015), and takes the band into a brand new and bolder, experimental – and even trance-like - direction.

Guitarist Federico Gutiérrez comments on what influenced this direction: “music is always a response from whatever we are feeling at the moment of its creation. It is an extension of our feelings and emotions”. The album was heavily influenced by the music the band members were listening to during the creation process of the album: krautrock, 70s and 80s post-punk and ambient music among others.

"When we were crafting the music, it became more obvious that the concept of the album would be a continuation of the concept on Entheogen: It's the harness of knowledge through the occult and realizing its power and the abilities it descends upon one's hands”.

"IAO 269" was produced by Colin Marston and Corpse Garden. It was recorded, mixed and mastered in January 2017 by Colin Marston at Menegroth, The Thousand Caves Studio, Queens, New York.

Stay tuned for more information on the album. In the meantime, check out the new song "Selenomantic Ecstasies" here: More...

Xandria Splits With Vocalist

German symphonic metal band Xandria has now split with its fifth vocalist, officially parting ways with Dianne van Giersbergen today. The group issued this statement:

"Dear all, we are very sad about the situation that we and you, the people following Xandria, have to face now. After we already had to cancel many concerts since July due to Dianne not being able to perform we had now been informed by her that she is leaving the band with immediate effect.

"This happened after we published news that the upcoming concerts will be played with a temporary replacement singer. It was clear to everyone, including Dianne, that it was supposed to be a temporary solution only. We had to learn about her departure in a way that has been surprising us very much and with a statement in which we do not recognize ourselves in.

"We have been very downhearted about not being able to play these concerts, and probably would not have been able to play for an undetermined time also in the future. For that reason, we wanted to play at least the concerts in November and December with a temporary replacement singer that can celebrate the music we love so much together with you and us, instead of cancelling any more concerts.

"We always have been doing our best to be there for you fans, so we tried the same in this difficult situation. Just as we always tried to find a good way to care for all members of the band to live the passion that is music, which can sometimes be difficult for everyone. Unfortunately, it seems that Dianne´s needs and goals were drifting apart from the band´s ones.

"However, we are proudly looking back at what we achieved together and we are thanking Dianne for the great times we shared and everything she did for the band. We wish her all the best for what she is heading for on her future way. We will live the passion we have for our music together with you all on our concerts in November, December & beyond! With a heavy heart, but at the same time looking forward to the future and to see you out there sharing our music with you,

"Philip, Marco, Steven & Gerit." More...

Barney: No New Napalm Death Album Before Late 2018

Napalm Death frontman Mark "Barney" Greenway was recently interviewed by Australia's "Sticks For Stones". Questioned about a recent post on the band's Facebook page revealing they were back at Parlour Studios in Kettering, Northamptonshire, England recording their next album, Greenway clarifies:

"This is one of the, I say, problems in small letters with social media sometimes. As soon as you put a post like that, people just kind of think - understandably so - that you've got a bunch of new songs ready to go. Well, we haven't. It's very preliminary stages. I mean, basically, we're at the point where Shane went into the studio with Danny and basically laid a load of stuff down that he'd been thinking of doing. So there may be some material that never sees the light of day. I just don't know, 'cause I haven't actually heard it yet. I've got the stuff, but I haven't actually sat down and listened to it yet. So there's nothing approaching any complete songs. And the reality is that it won't even surface probably till later next year, I would have thought. So it's gonna be a while yet."

You can now listen to the entire chat below.
