Kremlin Signs With Godz Of War
Godz Ov War Productions has announced a partnership with the Canadian barbaric death metal squad Kremlin, featuring past/present members of Infernäl Mäjesty and Outre-Tombe.
The band's debut album entitled "Decimation of the Elites" will be released this fall exclusively on CD.
Godz ov War comments: "The three-piece Canadian act fits the label's roster perfectly, expanding it with its pretty old school death metal with some modern touches to it (production wise in particular). The eight tracks that 'Decimation of the Elites' is made up of mean thirty-plus minutes of unrelentless, furious, bestial and evil death metal played the American way, with some echoes of the 1980s/1990s European, Swedish in particular, scene too.
"Relentless, straightforward, brutal yet melodic death metal devastating your ears from the beginning to the end. No remorse, sheer aggression. And the trio deliver all that with crushing and crunching, robust yet feral sound that make the album even more interesting to listen to." More...

Ragnarok Announces New Bassist
Norwegian black metal crew Ragnarok will embark on Latin American tour with new bassist Rammr (Jordskipstyrann, Elvarhøi) on September 6th. Having spent the last year using session bass players for live appearances, Ragnarok just announced that Rammr has joined the band on a full-time, permanent basis.
"Originally it was our intention to use a session bassist going forward," explains founder and frontman Jontho, who recently switched roles to become the band’s vocalist. "However, during the shows he did with us, Rammr’s dedication to his craft, and to Ragnarok itself, became very evident to everyone. He fits in perfectly with the rest of the band, which includes Bolverk on guitars and drummer Daniel Minge (Dauden), not only on stage, but also on a personal level. Most importantly, he understands our ideology, and what Ragnarok expects of its members, and after yet another incredible performance from him at Kaltenbach Open Air recently, I thought it was right to make him a full member." Bible Black Tyrant Signs With Argonauta
Argonauta Records has inked a deal with Bible Black Tyrant to release a new album this coming February:
"We’re excited to welcome in our roster U.S. supergroup Bible Black Tyrant, an oppressive sonic endeavor that features Tyler Smith, Aaron D.C. Edge and David S. Fylstra (members of Eagle Twin, Lumbar, KVØID, Form of Rocket, Minor Fret, Wasting Seasons, Iamthethorn, etc.). Their impressive album 'Regret Beyond Death' will be released during February 2018 on CD/DD (Argonauta Records) - vinyl (Cheddar Brothers Records), cassette (Anima Recordings).
"Beginning with a crushing density, Bible Black Tyrant’s ‘Regret Beyond Death’ offering immediately transports the listener into the dark forests of the Pacific Northwest at dusk; conjuring images of the sun setting against indecipherable, deciduous silhouettes. The air thickens as we continue a climb along a gently worn route to an unknown, undisclosed location.
"As the journey – and the record – lengthens, we are granted a strong scent of smoke and hemlock, of moss. Fear swirls 'round us now, fusing with the clamorous chants of a distant, uprising swarm, a loaded weight of atmospheric composition. Onward, and as the album nears its climactic conclusion, Bible Black Tyrant’s simultaneously oppressive and liberating mass projects a clear message written in the smoldering ashes: ‘Walk this path with us.'" Faces Of The Bog Releasing "Ego Death"
Chicagoland’s psychedelic sludge masters Faces Of The Bog will officially release "Ego Death" through DHU Records this coming September 22nd, 2017.
Initially conceived in a dingy rehearsal space in Humboldt Park during the fall of 2011, Faces of The Bog fast became a celebrated secret following the initial self-release of debut album "Ego Death" late last year.
Produced and engineered by the band and Sanford Parker (Voivod, Yob, Wreckmeister Harmonies, Bloodiest) at Electrical Audio and Decade Music Studios, "Ego Death" hit pretty damn hard for an independent offering. Released digitally and on CD in October 2016, Metal Injection was quick to praise its “existential ride of psychedelic waves and auras and collection of bangin’ sludge jams."
“It’s truly amazing these days when an underground band from a US city like Chicago can release an album completely on their own,” explains guitarist/vocalist Trey Wedgeworth. “We’ve been amazed and humbled by the feedback we’ve received all over the world. Fans from places like Germany, Norway, Portugal, Brazil, Australia, and Russia have all reached out to us to give their kind words to what we’re doing.”
It was while playing a handful of shows last year with pacific north-westerners Mother Crone that the band was introduced to the work of Netherland-based record label, DHU Records. More...
