Aosoth Posts First Single From New Album

French black metal devotees Aosoth premiered the first single from the fifith studio album "V: The Inside Scriptures," which is due out on November 17th via Agonia Records. Listen to "Her Feet Upon The Earth, Blooming The Fruits Of Blood" in the player below.

Aosoth is the second project of vocalist & lyricist MkM (the founder of Antaeus) evolving in the black/death metal genre. While Antaeus sets boundaries for violent, grinding black metal, Aosoth delivers more dissonant and 90's death metal elements combined with the work of guitarist & producer Bst (The Order Of Apollyon, VI), who composed the music on the album. The duo is accompanied by bassist INRVI (the founder & mastermind of VI) and Saroth (Hell Militia, Temple of Baal) on second guitar.

"V: The Inside Scriptures" is a closing chapter of AOSOTH's musical and lyrical concept. Distinctive and downright suffocating, the album shows many differences to "III" & "IV: Arrow In Heart", the two previous full-length releases, especially in terms of atmosphere. The recordings took nearly three years and were interrupted by many events in the personal lives of MkM & Bst. At some point, the album was about to be abandoned and never released.

The drums for "V: The Inside Scriptures" were recorded by T. at Hybreed Studios (Temple Of Baal, Glorior Belli, VI). All other instruments were recorded at BST Studios. Mixing & mastering were done at BST Studios as well, while the painting adorning the album cover (shown below) was created by Benjamin A. Vierling (Nightbringer, Weapon). Layout and additional photography was done by Somnyum. AOSOTH's logo was prepared by Erik Danielsson of Watain.

The track listing for the album is: More...

Nekhrah Streams Debut Album In Full

Nekhrah unleashed a full stream of the debut album "Cosmic Apostasy" via Toilet ov Hell at this location, or even more conveniently in the player at the bottom.

Previously known as Impalement, the Mediterranean-based act will self-release the full-length on September 29th. "Cosmic Apostasy" was mastered by Alan Douches of West West Side Music. The artwork of the album and the design of the band logo was created by Maciej Kamuda.

The band name “Nekhrah” is an Anglicised version of the Greek word “????a” which means “death” or “deadness” and/or “emptiness” in Greek.

The philosophy behind the band is Nihilistic. That is to say, the belief that existence is meaningless and that there is no inherent meaning in anything we do, think or experience. The lyrics revolve heavily around misanthropy, cataclysm, self-destruction and a desire of non-existence.

“Humanity is but a herd of ritualistic apes that congregate to ceremonialise their own insignificance."

Thy Serpent's Cult Announces New & Final Album

On October 27th, Ordo MCM is proud to present the third and final album of Thy Serpent's Cult, "Supremacy of Chaos."

Hailing from the cult metal hotbed of Chile, Thy Serpent's Cult have been a veritable force of nature for nearly 10 years. Forming in 2008, and now gracefully bowing out on a high note, the quartet has skillfully crafted a scorching firestorm of a sound lo these many years, marrying the sulfurous atmosphere of ancient South American black metal to the jackhammering militancy of classic Krisiun, Deicide, and Angelcorpse. Thy Serpent's Cult released the second album in 2014 under the banner of Ordo MCM. Fittingly titled "Sedition, Sorcery and Blasphemy," it was a whirlwind of darkness and dread, and was suitably hailed in the underground.

But now, sensing the end was nigh, Thy Serpent's Cult unleash the foulest and most dread energies with "Supremacy of Chaos." Once again fittingly titled, "Supremacy of Chaos" reaps a hellish harvest of tornado-torn death metal, deeply and diabolically suffused with a tangibly occult aura. Here, Thy Serpent's Cult span all their trademark traits - martial surge, swirling vortex, boiling pressure - and send them deeper into the bowels of Hell. The title "Supremacy of Chaos" is telling, in that the band do indeed hail the supreme powers of chaos; and yet, in other ways, their songwriting is strict and finessed and hardly a chaotic thing. Nevertheless, with a production that ably balances the blood-red raw and robustly professional, Thy Serpent's Cult smother the senses with an overwhelming onslaught, thereby instilling a sensation of imminent chaos.

And as its last notes ring out, "Supremacy of Chaos" seals the coffin on Thy Serpent's Cult and preserves a legacy that will remain untarnished. Hail the old gods!

In the leadup to the album's release, a special lyric video for "Into the Depths of Hell" can be viewed below. Cover and track listing are as follows:

1. Supremacy of Chaos
2. Diabolic Force
3. The Goddess of the Lust
4. Into the Depths of Hell
5. Pedophilac Priest
6. Apocalyptic Horse of War
7. Endless Hate
8. Satanic Rites of Blood
9. Real of Satan

Hatebreed’s Jamey Jasta Premieres New Track

Hatebreed/Jasta frontman Jamey Jasta premieres a new ‘The Howard Stern Show’ themed song titled "Hit Em With The Hein". Explains Jasta:

"We have released a special song called “Hit Em With The Hein.” The short track is a tribute to a special saying from the Howard Stern Show that refers to one of the show’s many personalities, Jon Hein. Hein is a contributor to the show, as well as the host of the Howard Stern SiriusXM channel’s ‘Wrap Up Show.’ He is also known for creating the website and coining the phrase “jump the shark” to refer to the moment when a television show begins to go “downhill” in quality. Jamey Jasta is a big fan of the show and decided to metal things up with the saying that is now becoming quite commonplace."
