Tetrarch Produces An "Oddity"

Buzzworthy metal group Tetrarch has been making huge moves this summer! The band is about to wrap up the current North American tour with metal giants DevilDriver and fellow support artists 36 Crazyfists, Cane Kill and Uncured, and next Friday, September 29, the band releases the new full-length album "Freak." Today, the band premiered the new single/video clip "Oddity" over at Revolver's website ">over here. You can also view the clip in the player at the bottom.

With one listen it's clear - Tetrarch oozes raw, unbridled skill. The band's new album, "Freak," amplifies the band's tried-and-true blend of intense metalcore riffage and driving drums with the dark vibes and haunting choruses of hooky modern hard rock. Tetrarch's most cited influences - ranging from bands such as heavy metal giants Slipknot and Trivium to hard rock darlings Mudvayne and Linkin Park - are evident but never replicated, as they stay true to their own unique mixture that appeals to any heavy music fan.

Freak was recorded with seasoned producer Dave Otero (Cattle Decaptitation, Allegeon, Khemmis) at the helm, who brought out the band's profound heaviness without sacrificing the catchy, melodic edge that has hooked the band's impressive underground fanbase.

The track list is:

1. Freak
2. Spit
3. Pull the Trigger (available here)
4. Mary
5. Oddity
6. Break the Trend
7. Please Let Me Be
8. Torn Apart

Town Tundra Inks Deal With Wormholedeath

Russian melodic death metal act Town Tundra has signed a distribution deal with Wormholedeath for the worldwide release of the new album "Misanthropy Never Fails"! The album will be issued on the following schedule:

Digital: October 13th (Wormholedeath/The Orchard)
CD: November 17th 2017 (Aural Music Group)

A teaser clip for the album, along with the first single/video clip "Wit From Woe," can be viewed in the player at the bottom.

The band commented: "'Misanthropy Never Fails' is the ode to individualism of the Man, confrontation of unique One-Aloner to hostile invasion of the faceless crowd. This is a Declaration of Sacred Love to Personality expressed in the words of Fierce Hatred and Intolerance to rabid narcissism of human cattle's inner animal essence that oppresses the finest aspirations of the Soul, desecrates and destroys the environment of any Individuality - its freedom, culture, morality and ethics, historical truth, living nature. Misanthropy is the Aegis for the Person against diseases and disappointments of cruel depressive social being - bestiality, ignorance and disharmony. The Aegis that never lies and fails...The music of Town Tundra was born in severe vastness of Russian Arctic. Sharp rhythms made of the echoes of the nonfreezing sea roaring surf, harsh riffs inspired by blizzard howling amidst endless winter night, fabulous solos reminding ice patterns on frozen window, dreamy melodies striving forward and upward full of hope and true russian yearning - all these are merged by the warmth of northern musicians' hearts as a message to hardline music lovers all over the world!"

The track listing is:

1. Anti-Psalm .21
2. Senseless and Merciless

Warrel Dane To Release New Solo Album

Warrel Dane, legendary vocalist of Sanctuary and Nevermore, will return with his second solo album, currently created under the guidance of renowned producer Roy Z (Bruce Dickinson, Halford, Helloween, Sebastian Bach) in 2018.

Titled “Shadow Work," the album is the follow up to the 2008's acclaimed, "Praises to the War Machine," and stylistically strays away from its predecessor, which leaned towards a goth-tinged, less metallic rock sound. First rough mixes already reveal that “Shadow Work” will offer darker, heavier, more complex songs, occasionally flirting with extreme metal by incorporating such elements as blast beats and combining this with Warrel Dane’s unique, dramatic trademark vocals.

As with the previous Warrel Dane solo tours, including the 15th anniversary tour celebrating Nevermore’s classic, “Dead Heart in a Dead World," the line-up for the record will consist of Johnny Moraes (guitars), Thiago Oliveira (guitars), Fabio Carito (bass) and Marcus Dotta (drums), who all have been playing with the Dane since 2014.

“Shadow Work” will be recorded during Autumn 2017 and is expected to be released in the first half of 2018 via Century Media Records worldwide. More...

Poison Pill Signs With Sliptrick Records

Hard rock/metal act Poison Pill signed on to Sliptrick Records for the release of the self-titled album coming November 7th.

Poison Pill was formed around the ambition to link hard hitting metal with unique verbal expressions of human frustration. This first release is a statement that has developed from three musicians of diverse backgrounds getting together sharing their visions of a modern, revitalized metal sound. The band felt there was new ideas to create in relation to the range of more traditional metal influences.

Poison Pill wants to reinvent and challenge what has become stereotypical words, expressions and messages flooding the genre. There are more subjects to touch upon than beer, babes, rock’n’roll, and on the other hand hell, war and monsters. Like the faceless external forces that surround us Poison Pill is a statement that’s not based on faces and names. It’s not a matter of individuals forming a line-up to promote their own careers, it’s about staying true to the artistic expression without getting stuck in a cult of personality. The music, the lyrics, the songs are what is important and it is also, in the end, what will attract the listener.

Stay tuned for more information on the album. More...
