I swear, if I could figure out a way to wear 4 Vestal watches on a clip I would..."

"Anyway, that's all for now. Rock on, and remember...a wino ain't afraid of nuthin', except runnin' out of wine."

"See you soon!"

Tiamat Festival & DVD Updates, Dispels Rumours

Tiamat has posted this message on their website regarding Sweden's Metaltown Festival, rumours of the band breaking up and their upcoming DVD:

We're extremely happy to inform our Swedish fans that we have just been confirmed to perform at this years Metaltown festival in Gothenburg on the 30th of July!!! Other bands on that festival are Beseech, Nine, Apocalyptica, our bloodbrothers Dark Tranquillity, and the great Rammstein!

Recently we have received many emails asking about a rumour saying that Tiamat is about to split up. The answer to you bunch is: What planet are you from?

The DVD "Church of Tiamat" has been delayed and is now set for a release in the end of October. We're just finishing up packaging and deciding what to put in the bonus section. Siggi Bemm did a great job mixing the audio, both in stereo and 5.1!!!

And a final word, London we're with you!!! God bless you!

Nasum Commentaries, Videos, Photos Posted

Nasum guitarist, Anders Jakobson, posted the following update on the band's website:

I've been writing a lot lately. For those of you who read the blog you know that I've been working on track by track commentaries to the albums. That's not the only stuff I've been writing lately. I've spent a few hours writing down some memories from each album concerning the recording, the title, the cover and the vinyl/Japanese editions. I figured that it was time to write down the memories before they escape me. And besides that I love reading this kind of stuff about the bands I like, so I guess some of you will enjoy it a lot.

So go to the discography page and then to the albums and click the "Detailed information" link for the stories and some other goodies and click the "Track by track" link for the song commentaries. With this update the two longer texts from the making of "Helvete" along with the "making of 'Preview of Hell'" mp3 returns to the page.

In other updates I've launched the press page again with some high res photos, and I have also uploaded some of our old video clips to the Audio/Video page including a never before seen video for "Scoop" shot by Napalm Death's Mitch Harris! Yes, you read right - we still have a lot of stuff left in our bag of tricks. There are more to come, just wait.

I asked for server space in a newspost that I have now deleted. Well, I got some space - from my webhotel. They apparently just increased my account with 1,5 GB so I will have no problem uploading the heavy video clips anymore! Great!

With this quite massive update nasum.com has grown yet a bit. Next on the list is to update the photo galleries and maybe make some more "detailed information" pages about the other records. We'll see.

Until next time - enjoy!

Anders Jakobson

Soilwork Explains "Stabbing The Drama" Video

The following message was posted on the official Soilwork website:

Hi!

Just want to post some more small updates before we leave for Ozzfest on monday...

Just came home from a party with our dear bassplayer Mr. Flink, had a blast watching Iron Maiden live on swedish national tv (prime time) from the biggest stadium in Sweden, that was fucking great!!

Anyways, if you didn't know aleady, the video of the song "Nerve" will soon reach your tv:s. We recorded the video in Hollyood at a filmsite rental during our headline tour in april. And the big question: Is the whole band in the video this time? Hell yess! Don't worry, my ugly face is not alone this time... Unfortunately some people got the Stabbing the drama video totally wrong and thought that i'd been converted to some pathetic Fred Durst guy and there's been a lot of talk on the forums if it was my decision and will to be alone in the video.. i tell you, you don't know me.. All we did was to make everything as flexible as possible since Peter moved to the states when we where recording the video, so it was the directors idea to build a story around one person, sure it didn't work out very good since the director didn't kept what he promised with my movements with my arms in the video that was supposed to be turned into "matrix effects".. bummer.. i still believe i did what i could in that video (i tell you, it's goddamn hard being totally alone in a video when you're used to be with a six piece band, you should try it sometime!) . I still like the colours in the video but just as you guys i wish the whole band was in that video but this was impossible at that time... So to you guys who believe i'm trying go solo with this band and adapting some kind of rapper attitude , fuck off and watch the next video of Nerve instead , it's great!! I'll see you very soon my friends!

Best regards, Speed

No Portugal Festival Appearances For Dimmu Borgir

Dimmu Borgir guitarist Erkekjetter Silenoz posted this message on their official website:

Please note that Dimmu Borgir will not be performing in Portugal this summer, no show was ever confirmed for this period. We were approached and an offer was received which was not accepted due to other various commitments but unfortunately due to an internal miscomunication within the promotors office, posters were made with our name on it. The promotor has taken steps to rectify this.
