Ex-Hellyeah/Danzig Bassist Involved In Hotel Brawl

Former Nothingface/Hellyeah/Danzig bassist Jerry Montano was reportedly involved in a fight early this morning with country musician John Rich (of Big and Rich fame). Police arrived at the hotel around 4:28 AM and are currently investigating the incident, although no arrests have been made at this time. Neither musician has pressed charges against one another.

This is not the first time Montano has been the source of controversy, he was relieved of his duties from the supergroup Hellyeah last year after becoming drunk and disorderly at the band's album release party and making offensive statements regarding firearms. He was replaced by former Damageplan bassist Bob "Zilla" Kakaha.

Alestorm Vocalist Checks In From The Road

Alestorm vocalist Chris Bowles has posted the following tour report online:

"Haw there again lads and lasses.

"It's amazing just how little of the world you see when you're on tour. Milan was an endless suburb in the shadow of the San Siro, Munich was a rainy industrial estate. Switzerland wasn't much better. So today, myself, Ian, and Claus from SVARTSOT took a quest through Vienna in search of "culture n' shit". Alas, we found fuck all apart from a vaguely impressve church and a MEGADETH bootleg. Couldn't even find a twee snowdome. More...

One retailer told Undercover, “we don’t care about embargos and the fans don’t care about charts. We are here to sell music and the fans are here to buy it. I couldn’t care less if Sony has an embargo on it until tomorrow. My customers want it today and I’m giving it to them”. More...

Dirty Little Rabbits Signs With The End Records

MTV's Headbangers Blog announced yesterday the signing of Johnston, Iowa's DIRTY LITTLE RABBITS to THE END RECORDS. DIRTY LITTLE RABBITS features Slipknot percussionist Shawn "Clown" Crahan behind the kit, along with Stella Soleil (vocals), Ty Fyhrie (guitars), Jeff Karnowski (bass), and Michael Pfaff (organs, keyboards).

Shawn Crahan explains to Headbangers Blog:

"Dirty Little Rabbits is my new Slipknot. I’m playin’ drums, and I’m a songwriter and this is the band I’ve been waiting to be in my whole life. And it’s more of an alternative band than a metal band. It’s everything I’ve ever been into. And it’s a thought process, it’s a mindset. And this will be the band I end my life with.

"A lot of people don’t know I’m more or less an alternative person in art and music. I didn’t grow up obsessed with metal. But that’s most of the beauty behind Skipknot. You’ve got guys that are completely dedicated to the metal, and then you’ve got guys who never even listen to it, like me. And you come together and make this thing called Slipknot that happens to be a metal band, and that’s awesome because I always believed when I got together with my brothers that they were writing music that I never heard or felt and that’s why I went with it.

"And I brought the art to this music, and throughout time I developed all my musical skills and – boom — here I am with Dirty Little Rabbits and it’s finally everything I’ve ever wanted in a band."
