Every Hour Kills Releases New Video
Modern melodic metal band Every Hour Kills just released the "Almost Human" music video taken from an upcoming self-titled EP due out September 18.
The video, which was directed by Doug Cook, is part of an online voting competition where the winning videos receive one of two $30,000 grants to produce a music video + documentary, receive training and mentorship opportunities, and distribution on TELUS Optik TV On Demand. You can vote for "Almost Human" over here.
Sacha Laskow from Every Hour Kills had this to say: "The song is about addictions, vices and demons. Everybody has them in some form. Sometimes when you deal with these trials you feel isolated and alone, like an alien among your own kind. Like you're not quite human...
"The video concept illustrates this by showing the band in a cold, isolated environment being filmed only by futuristic robotic security cameras. They are forced to perform and give every ounce of energy they have to even have a chance of being set free..." More...

Coheed And Cambria Unveils Album Details
Coheed and Cambria has revealed the cover and track list for forthcoming album, "The Color Before The Sun," due out Oct. 9 via 300 Entertainment.
The cover, which features a serene lake with a house disintegrating into the sky, was created by Nick Steinhardt (Touche Amore, Deafheaven) and reflects the story behind the ten-song album.
"The Color Before The Sun" marks the first time Coheed and Cambria's Claudio Sanchez is exposing his raw feelings, narrated from his own perspective – the anxiety of fatherhood, the disorienting feeling of losing a home, the reflections had during early-morning walks. His own story is told through big, bright, driving, colorful songs that beam like power-pop, crunch like vintage ‘90s emocore and float with the expansive feel of space-rock.
Pre-orders for the album are up now at this location and the disc's full track listing is as follows:
1. Island
2. Eraser
3. Colors
4. Here To Mars
5. Ghost
6. Atlas

Neurosis To Celebrate 30th Anniversary At Roadburn
The Roadburn Festival is proud to announce that Neurosis will celebrate its thirtieth anniversary as headliner at the 2016 edition. Roadburn Festival is further incredibly proud to announce that the 2016 curator will be musician, label owner and sonic pioneer, Lee Dorrian.
Neurosis comments: "To be invited to celebrate our 30th anniversary in Europe at Roadburn is an absolute honor. Roadburn is a treasured and unique event that embodies the spirit of open minded community and original, emotional heavy music. We are humbled to be a part of it again."
Paradise Lost's Nick Holmes adds: “As a young band we spent a good deal of time in the early 90’s driving around The Netherlands in a small transit van, living off chips with mayonnaise, drinking Chocomel and playing stuff from this album. 'Gothic' totally reminds me of those days, so if we were ever going to play the album in its entirety in 2016, it has to be in The Netherlands, and where better than the Roadburn Festival!!” More...

End Of Daze Streaming "The Skies Above"
Emerging south west U.K. metal outfit End Of Daze today unleashes a brand new song entitled "The Skies Above," taken from the band's forthcoming debut album "Ascension" due out September 14, 2015.
Guitarist Jack Wood comments: "This song was one we really enjoyed writing, as there is a lot of melody and we all had a chance to be a part of the chorus. The chorus melody on guitar was the first thing written for this song, but we had it for months just waiting to use it. One day at practice we came up with the chord progression to go behind it and so I took the idea home and finished the whole song. I brought it to practice the following week, where everyone in the band had their input. Later, our producer Pash Stratton got in contact with David Seymour of the band Griever to do some guest vocals, he was very happy to do it for us, and he made the song levels above the original idea we had for the song."
Vocalist Harry Shooter adds, "When I wrote the lyrics to 'The Skies Above,' I didn't really think much of it at the time and it was only a few weeks later when I started reading them that I realised that I was writing about some of the feelings I have about what goes on in our world today and how'd I'd rather see the world without all the war and corruption that all the people I care about could enjoy it (as I'd hope everyone else would too). I guess I wanted the lyrics to be reliable and nice to listen too, because you do get a lot of lyrics in metal about killing things and death and all that jazz and don't get me wrong I'm more than game for that! But I firmly believe metal is about expression and that’s what I do with my lyrics." More...

Q5 Signs With Frontiers Records, New LP In 2016
Frontiers Music Srl is proud to welcomes Q5 to the label. The band is slated to release the long awaited third studio album in early 2016.
Q5 was formed in 1983 by members of two popular Seattle bands: vocalist Jonathan K and guitarist (famous guitar tremolo inventor) Floyd Rose from The C.O.R.E. and Rick Pierce (guitar), Evan Sheeley (Bass) and Gary Thompson (drums) from TKO. Q5 released its first album, "Steel the Light" in 1984, receiving immediate critical acclaim, and landing them tours with Twisted Sister, Y&T and Lita Ford. The success of "Steel the Light" led them to eventually sign with Polygram/Squawk for their 1985 sophomore release "When the Mirror Cracks," but due to personal differences, the original lineup dissolved shortly after this release.
In 1991, Jonathan K and Rick Pierce started a new project called Nightshade with drummer Jeffrey McCormack and bassist Anthony Magnelli and released their first album, "Dead of the Night." The album was partially comprised of material that was to be the third Q5 release, and it received worldwide critical acclaim. In 2009, when Nightshade was slated to perform at the Headbangers Open Air Festivalin Germany, with Evan Sheeley on bass, the promoters asked if they would perform a second set as Q5 and the band agreed to do it. The fans response was overwhelming to say the least.
In 2014, Q5 was asked to perform at Sweden Rock Festival, a performance that the band had agreed would be a "one off" show, but at the completion of the performance, it was obvious that this was not an ending, but merely a beginning. Upon returning to Seattle, the band secured drummer Jeffrey McCormack (former Heir Apparent, Fifth Angel) again, and guitar virtuoso Dennis Turner to complete the line-up. More...
