Today Devilment premieres the official music video for "Sanity Hits A (Perfect) Zero," taken off the band's debut, "The Great And Secret Show" (2014).
The video, directed by Lizzy Ellam and edited by Sam Scott-Hunter, can be viewed below. Commented Dani Filth: "It was enormous fun filming the video for 'Sanity Hits A (Perfect) Zero' as it was decided that it would appear very chaotic, retro and dirty from an early stage, as if the discovered film stock had slightly perished with age, bringing with it a psychedelically lurid post-apocalyptic vision.
"The whole experience was undertaken close to home in Suffolk at a countryside scrapyard, with friends and performers being assembled, dressed, watered and fed by the extended Devilment family, with a crew 'borrowed' from the local university.
"In essence it was very much an underground guerrilla effort, the spirit of which we intended to capture on a day which fortunately fell between two bouts of horrible stormy weather, thus enabling the use of flame on what was essentially a fuel-soaked death trap waiting to ignite.
Still, all's Hell that ends well, and we think the finished video (perfectly) compliments the madness and feral metallic adrenaline of the track heaved under the spotlight." More...

"Inversum" is the forthcoming new full-length from Finnish psychedelic doom practitioners Dark Buddha Rising. This fifth studio offering (and first under the Neurot Recordings banner) is a two-track exercise in the black arts of psychedelia, swallowing its listeners whole into a tense, brooding realm of dark atmospheres, harrowing mysticism, tormented howls and slow, ominous riff protrusions.
The record was recorded, produced and mixed by the band in the bowels of the Wastement, the self-proclaimed "asylum of eternal feedback," and welcomes the addition of new Dark Buddha Rising recruits, V. Vatanen (guitar, vocals), J. Saarivuori (keyboards) and M. Neuman (vocals).
Today an edited version of opening psalm "E S O" can be heard online - check it out below. Comments the band: "'E S O' is the inner process of 'Inversum,' a personal voyage into the eternal current of existence." More...

French death metal outfit South Of Hell just inked a worldwide deal with Sliptrick Records. The label comments:
"Originally formed by 3 childhood friends, Olivier (singer), Fargio (Guitar) and Laurent (Bassist), they went through several line up changes through years and finally managed to gather a complete line up, joined by Sophian (drums) and Nicolas (Guitar).
"A blend of old school bands such as Cannibal Corpse, Hypocrisy, Death and more modern bands such as Dying Fetus, Suffocation, Six Feet Under turning into a blast of catchy music that will have your spinning as a fucking chopper!!
"Their debut album 'Rising of Hate' has been recorded and mixed by Jerôle Salomon through august 2014 and mastered by Anton. An album featuring a wide array of genres going from old school riffs to modern blastbeat death metal chords." More...
Orange County, California quartet Speaking The King's will release debut full-length "Carousel" via Nuclear Blast on October 16. Nuclear Blast comments:
"The album is frontloaded with moshy breakdowns, which are tempered by soaring melodic choruses that will camp out in your brain for weeks at a time. 'Carousel' was recorded with the mighty Steve Evetts at the helm."
The band had this to say: “We are ready to win the world over with 'Carousel,' which is a journey through catchy choruses to the heaviest of breakdowns. This album offers a diversity and range of emotions, which are reflective of each member and the ride we have been on to this day. We are so eager to let the world into our hearts and for you to let us into your ears.“ More...
It’s time for some filthy rock ‘n’ roll, and when I say filthy, I mean trawled through the blackened murky waters of Austin, TX. The black ‘n’rollers from Death Motif have their second EP due out September 10, and "The Water" drags the listener to further depths than debut "A Filthy Crown."
“We focus on narratives about death, sadness, and darkness, often pulled from real life examples," the band comments. The new EP was recorded by Paul White at The Fathom Tree in Austin, TX, with Death Motif stating: “I want to make sure that we mention The Fathom Tree, because Paul really bent over backwards to help us get the record finished. Paul rules.”

The Swedish doom metal masters from Avatarium are set to release their upcoming album, "The Girl With The Raven Mask," on October 23 via Nuclear Blast. Bassist Leif Edling is really content with the result, commenting:
“I think we have created something unique this time with Avatarium! The songs are more written to be just songs and there are some really nice moments on the record that I personally love... the straight forward title track, the beautiful 'January Sea,' the riff in 'Ghostlight' and the groove in 'Run Killer Run.'
"The organ and the Rhodes piano are ridiculously loud in the mix at times, even Dr. Carl agrees hehe, but i think it gives even more edge to the songs! I hope people will dig 'The Girl With The Raven Mask' as much as I do myself, and if they don't, it's their problem. A band can't deliver more than we have done here, so it is an album close to perfection! When an album is perfect...shoot me!"
Guitarist Marcus Jidell comments: "Avatarium has been taking another big step with this album and I can't wait for people to hear the songs and to play them live on our tour in November! It has been a lot of work but also a great pleasure to be the producer of this album, I'm very happy with the result and I feel very proud to be a member of this powerful and talented band!“ More...

Rebellion just released the full cover artwork for new album "Wyrd Bið Ful Aræd – The History Of The Saxons," with the band commenting:
Metal Blade Recording artist Goatwhore has stayed busy over the past year. The group toured almost non-stop. Last summer they sweated out among some of today’s top death metal acts on Summer Slaughter. In the fall Goatwhore joined Glenn Danzig for a few dates with Samhain. In the winter the band traveled to the other side of the Earth when they went to Australia. Most recently the band headlined a tour with Black Breath, Ringworm and Theories. Now the band is gearing up for another string of dates on the road including Gwar B-Q
Much of Goatwhore’s tours were without longtime member, bassist James Harvey. Trans Am (ex-Hod, War Master) has filled in for James. I caught up with Ben Falgoust to see what the future holds in store for Harvey and TA. The gauntlet-clad front man also shared his thoughts on this past tours and expressed excitement regarding the upcoming tour. More...

"In October/November we will tour across Norway and Europe, and on Thursday the 19th of November we will do our first show in Oslo since 2013, and its our only show there this years. Spread the word and see you all soon."
Children Of Bodom will release ninth studio album, "I Worship Chaos," worldwide on October 2, 2015 via Nuclear Blast Records.
Today the band has released the official lyric video for the title track. Check it out below. Mastermind Alexi Laiho states about the upcoming release:
"To me it seems like 'I Worship Chaos' has a lot darker vibe in it than the previous albums and so far everyone has told me that the songs are a lot catchier this time which I'm definitely glad about. To sum it up... It's angry, dark and catchy as fuck. I think it's safe to say 'I Worship Chaos' is COB reborn even more pissed off."
For the recording of "I Worship Chaos," COB returned to Finland's Danger Johnny Studios (located at a top secret, undisclosed location in Helsinki). The album was produced by COB and Mikko Karmila, who worked with the band on their earlier albums "Halo Of Blood," "Hatebreeder," "Follow The Reaper," and "Hate Crew Deathroll."
