Havok Posts New Music Video Online

Colorado based thrash metal band, Havok, have released a brand new music video for the song "Fear Campaign," taken off their current record V, which was released earlier this year.

Havok guitarist/vocalist David Sanchez comments: "Although it was written in 2019, 'Fear Campaign' sounds like it should be the theme song for 2020. The lyrics seem to become more and more relevant as the weeks go by. In the video, we wanted to capture the manic nature of media, propaganda, and other forms of mind control that have plagued civilization for thousands of years. The fear campaign appears to be at an all-time high right now and the only way to end it is to stop being afraid. Reject fear." More...

Portugal's Places Around The Sun Debut Video

Metalunderground.com is proud to debut Portugal's Place Around The Sun video for their song "Rising Sun." The stoner/desert rock quartet had this to say about their catchy tune.

"It’s quite funny how this song is the first one on the album that brings a sense of conclusion or fulfillment, concept wise, and was also the first time the four of us were all together since quarantine started! So making this music video felt like a road trip with friends reuniting! It truly felt like the rising sun after all the pandemic stuff!

A simple and straight forward music video, always with a sprinkle of details relating to the concept and the message we tend to bring, like the song itself.

Now that we started rehearsing the album this one is for sure a very fun song to play and it’s a pretty great show opener!" More...

Volur Premiere New Single "Inviolate Grove"

Volur have released a video of the first single taken from their forthcoming full-length "Death Cult", which has been slated for release on November 13th. The track and video of 'Inviolate Grove' tie in with the album's concept that is loosely based on a note by the antique Roman historiographer Tacitus about a ritual of human sacrifice in his book "Germania". 'Inviolate Grove' has been exclusively premiered by official media partner Metal Hammer (UK) here.

The band comment: "This is the first single, 'Inviolate Grove' taken from our forthcoming album 'Death Cult', which will be released on Friday 13th in November", says vocalist Lucas Gadke. "We made the video in collaboration with Sarah Legault, who supplied us with some dark and mysterious footage and Tim O’Reilly. This track, like the other three songs on 'Death Cult', is a variation on a theme, which is inspired by a Germanic ritual that the Roman author Tacitus described. Imagine entering a circle of trees. A priest approaches a veiled idol. The full moon rises, and the priest leads the idol to the water. In the video we see a living idol and the priest, in a different time yet still the same."

The album can be pre-ordered at this location. More...
