Not Waving But Drowning Officially Disbands
As a result of losing both drummer Calvin McRoy and bassist Jeffrey Meyer earlier this month (they both quit), Not Waving But Drowning has dissolved for good, after roughly four years together. The two remaining members, Todd Finoch and Justin Mank had originally considered replacing both members and continuing on, however, since Todd has a second child due in January, it appeared that their efforts would ultimately prove futile. The band still hopes to release their album, which they recorded months ago, sometime in the future, so stay tuned. Here's a few words from Justin on the "end": "Thanks to everyone who has ever supported us or helped us in any way. This has been the best four years of my life, hands down, and I will miss this band greatly."
Castillo Leaves Danzig
Drummer Joey Castillo has left Danzig and will be joining Queens Of The Stoneage on their upcoming tour. Danzig are already looking for a new drummer whose name will be announced as soon as they are found. They also wish all the best to Joey in his future endeavors.
All this will most probablly also affect the planned USA tour for October to be followed by a European and possibly Japanese tour. And while speaking of Danzig, they recorded their second video Kiss The Skull for the current album I Luciferi.
Demigod Find Drummer
Finnish death metallers Demigod have recruited Torn drummer Tuomo Latvala as a replacement for founding member Seppo Taatila, who left the group in February in order to focus on family life.
Houwitser Part Ways with Drummer
Dutch death metallers Houwitser have parted ways with guitarist Michel Alderliefsten (ex-Sinister). The band do not plan to seek a replacement and will carry on as a four-piece.
Houwitser will embark on a European tour with Dying Fetus and Monstrosity later this month.

Stratovarius guitarist Timo Tolkki has revealed, via the Mixing Diary page on the group's official web site, that the cover for this mid-tempo and "very melodic" song is already done.
