Exodus Set To "Kick Ass" On Next Tour w/ Hatebreed

With a Decibel Magazine-sponsored roadshow destined to go down in recent history as the one with the highest BBPM (Blast Beats Per Minute) rate, San Francisco's veteran thrashers EXODUS proudly announce they've been drafted for the upcoming "Monsters Of Mayhem" tour, set to launch at The Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts on September 3rd. Seventeen initial dates have been confirmed; more dates will be announced soon. Five EXODUS off-date shows have been scheduled thus far.

Founding member & lead guitarist Gary Holt checks in from his Northern California home about the forthcoming excursion:

"Let me just say how fired up we are to be taking part in the 'Monsters Of Mayhem' tour. To have the opportunity to tour with Hatebreed, Napalm Death, The Black Dahlia Murder, Despised Icon, and First Blood is just awesome. A HUGE thanks to Jamey Jasta and all from Hatebreed for hooking us up with the chance to crush some people who might not have ever seen us before. I fully plan on hurting somebody! Hope to see you there. Let the mayhem begin!"

Purveyors of an attitude-driven sound carried out with the brutality of military vengeance, this will be EXODUS' final tour in support of 2005's highly acclaimed Shovel Headed Kill Machine. "Standard metal sounds like love songs compared to the musical violence of EXODUS," stated DRUM! Magazine, and once you experience the band live, you'll realize that no truer words could have been spoken.

Despite rumors to the contrary, Holt denies that he's purchased a set of brass knuckles specifically for this tour.

Cliff Reports In From The Dry Kill Logic Camp

What up everyone Cliff here. Just wanted to write and say what’s up, and thank everyone that has picked up a copy of The Magellan Complex. The response to the EP has been great, and we’re psyched about all the positive feedback we’ve been getting on the music and the DVD (yes, we know Phil is out of his mind). From Victim to Killer definitely represents the next level of aggression we achieved on this new album, and we can't wait for you to hear the rest of the tracks! Its definitely in your face, aggressive music - we've never compromised our integrity for a quick glimpse of success, never wrote a record with the pipe dream of crossover radio accessibility & never turned our backs on the style of music we write or the people that appreciate it.

We’re excited to announce that we will be heading to AUSTRALIA for the 1st time ever – we’ve been added to the Fear Factory / Devildriver tour for 3 shows (Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne) – check the dates below for all the info! We can’t wait!!

We’re also planning our return to Europe – we had such a blast time that we have to come back and party with you guys again! This time we’ll be hitting Switzerland and Italy as well as Germany, the UK and France, with plenty more to come – confirmed dates are below and keep checking back for all the latest dates!!

And don’t worry about the US – plans are in the works for hitting some of our favorite places to play as well. We’re working it out now, so be sure to stay tuned!!

Zip it up and zip it out!!!

Police arrested Rinaldi at the Tweeter Center Tuesday night after a woman alleged he grabbed underneath her skirt on the front walkway leading to the parking lots. She and a friend were walking back to their tour bus at the time.

Police also charged Rinaldi with possession of a class B substance, Vicodine, a prescription drug.

Detonation Update On Thiird Album

Dutch blasting melodic death metal combo DETONATION issued the following update via their website:

"We've been doing a photo-shoot yesterday, shooting hundreds of pics on different locations. We never did a 'real' photo shoot like this before, so we're looking forward to see some quality pics that we can finally use for promotional purposes without being embarrassed ;) Thanks in advance to Rayann from Goth Metal for helping us out!"

"More news about our 3rd album then. We are going to do things slightly different than before and record our newest piece in cooperation with Split Second Sound , together with producer Jochem Jacobs (Textures)! Recordings will start around December this year, and our goal is to have things completed around January next year. We will start working on the pre-preduction a.s.a.p! Looking at Jochem's previous work and the groove and heaviness of our new songs, this new album is bound to become something very special!"

Leng Tch'e Post Two New Songs Online

Belgian razorgrind pioneers LENG TCH'E have posted two new songs, 'Confluence of Consumers' and 'Self-Pity as a Daily Routine,' on their MySpace page. The tracks will be featured on the band's upcoming split CD with WARSCARS, due in September via Bones Brigade.

LENG TCH'E entered the studio last month to begin recording the follow-up to their Relapse Records debut, "The Process Of Elimination". The new record has been given the tentative title of "Marasmus" and will be mixed September 18-22 at Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden with producer Fredrik Nordström. The CD should be unleashed upon the public in March/April 2007 on Relapse Records. Expect longer songs, more intricate rhythms and lots of more variation than on the previous LENG TCH'E records. Mixing up the roots of the band with a new found mature sound, "Marasmus" will become the band's most varied, catchy and definitely most insane blasting effort.

LENG TCH'E have been confirmed for the renowned Summer Breeze Festival, set to take place August 17-19, 2006 in the Ostalbkreis district in Germany.

Stolen Babies Sign To The End Records

Stolen Babies are a unique band in their own right, a talented act that has amassed a following with their energetic and freakish live shows. The band's musical style is a cauldron of ideas that serves up a wonderful variety of vibrant styles meshed together into a pure chaotic frenzy. And it works.

With elements of gothic rock, industrial, punk and metal brewing within, it's not hard to see why the band has been able to impress fans and critics who have stumbled upon their mischievously power-packed numbers. The band's well-received debut release 'There Be Squabbles Ahead' will be released in digipak format on The End Records on October 3rd.

About signing with The End Records, Stolen Babies comment, "Signing with The End became the obvious choice for Stolen Babies. As a band with a very strong artistic vision we knew what we were looking for in a label and The End was the missing ingredient in our cupcake of madness!"

The band, who just finished up a string of successful shows with Sleepytime Gorilla Museum on the West Coast, are going out on tour again this month with Giant Squid for a few select dates.

Ozzfest 2006 Stops In Indianapolis

On Sunday, July 23, the annual metal-gods tour known as Ozzfest, minus Ozzy, of course, rolled through Indianapolis, and the event passed without much out of the ordinary. The day saw a couple of fights, a lot of marijuana, a whole lot of ignorant people who harassed event staff at every turn, and a lot of people waiting to see the last three bands of the night without any knowledge of who played the second and early main stages—a typical Ozzfest.
