Orden Ogan Uploads New Music Video

German power metal institution, Orden Ogan, will release their new album, Final Days, on August 28 via AFM Records. Check out a music video for the song "In The Dawn Of The AI" below.

Where to go from the Wild West? Singer and producer Sebastian "Seeb" Levermann explains: "Final Days is a dark-science-fiction-concept-record and it features all Orden Ogan trademarks such as fat and modern riffs, epic chorusses and melancholic orchestral arrangements. On this record you will find the best songs that we have ever written. Gunmen was a strong and important record for us, but Final Days takes it to the next level."

Speaking about the next level: the package for the Final Days Tour 2020 features heavy metal legends Grave Digger as main support. The second support act will not be announced until February 23 due to contractual obligations.

Orden Ogan will bring a whole new show for the Final Day Tour. From today there is a special exclusive pre-sale for the new album on CD digipak (+ Live DVD) in a bundle with the ticket of your choice, ONLY in the AFM Records webshop. CD, CD digipak, ltd. box set and limited colored vinyl can be pre-ordered as well. Head here.

Dokken Posts New Lyric Video Online

"No Answer" is the second single taken from the upcoming Dokken release, "The Lost Songs: 1978-1981." Watch a lyric video for the song below.

It wasn’t always multi-platinum sales and stadium gigs for Dokken. There was a first-phase and there were early days, and it is those bold first steps to stardom which are celebrated comprehensively on Dokken’s "The Lost Songs: 1978-1981," out on August 28 via Silver Lining Music.

Featuring spectacular sleeve art by renowned US artist Tokyo Hiro (Motörhead, Motley Crüe), "The Lost Songs: 1978-1981" show the crackle and craft of a hungry young Don Dokken as he embarked upon a journey which started in Southern California and Northern Germany. It is a trek which is testimony to the sheer endeavour and perseverance Don Dokken showed in those few years between 1978 and 1981, starting from when he spent time at a guitar store called Drake’s Music, owned by Drake Levin in Manhattan Beach, California.

A fair selection of the treasure on "The Lost Songs: 1978-1981" are from these early European days. “Felony” carries a thuggish fuzz-coated riff -think early Van Halen in really greasy embroidered denims- while “Day After Day” showed that Don could pen a radio-slaying ballad.

The writing and creation of "The Lost Songs: 1978-1981" are further tribute to enduring early days of struggle in both Germany and LA, Don would return to LA for a spell after those brief European gigs, and he worked with Croucier on material, including perhaps the truest view of Dokken’s then-future “Hit And Run”, which incredibly did not end up on the eventual Breaking The Chains release. From the sunbaked SoCal hook of “Step Into The Light” to the furious, fledgling, late-Sunset Strip sound of “Back In The Streets,” The Lost Songs: 1978-1981 shows Don in his unfettered early days of balls-out attitude, qualities doubtless forged in the sheer nature of the adventures undertaken in writing, recording and deciding Europe was the place to keep cutting his teeth.

"The Lost Songs: 1978-1981" not only shares that magic with the fans, it gives them the final, vital and undeniably missing (until now) early album in the Dokken collection. More...

Let Us Prey Shares New Lyric Video

With today's release of their debut full-length "Virtues Of The Vicious," the Boston-based dark melodic power/thrash group Let Us Prey have released a music video for its title track, which features a guest guitar solo by Metal Mike Chlasciak (Halford, Testament).

Says vocalist Marc Lopes (who helmed the video himself), "'Virtues Of The Vicious' in simple terms is about if we are inherently violent by nature and born this way, or if it's a learned trait and a product of our environment. I actually did a two-week study about this before writing the lyrics. The conclusion is up for endless debate, and a conversation I would only have in a personal one-on-one encounter with a person of open and sound mind. The title was inspired from an episode of 'The Punisher,' and the artwork is relief sculpture from Vigeland Sculpture Park in Oslo by Gustav Vigeland. When I saw this piece while visiting Oslo in 2017, I was immediately drawn and fascinated by the work, so I took a series of pictures knowing I would use them in some manner in the future. The image and title just worked for me. The music itself is chaos, mixing many styles of metal into one sitting. I wanted total mayhem for the guitar solos, so I called on Metal Mike Chlasciak, who also I jam with in another project. I could not be happier with the results, which are my personal musical to the subject matter." More...

Isengard Reveals New Album Details

Isengard was the solo-project initially started in 1989 by Fenriz - one the key driving forces behind Norwegian legends Darkthrone - because he had many musical ideas to explore that didn't strictly fit in with the style and music of his main band. Under the Isengard moniker, Fenriz released 2 albums encapsulating doom, death, black & Folk/Viking metal in the shape of "Vinterskugge" & "Høstmørke," & finally we welcome the third addition to this cult project.

After a period of 25 long years since Isengard’s last studio output, and having recently unearthed a set of tracks from his own archive of material recorded back in those early glory days, this new series of tracks - which were thought to be lost - follow on from some of the metal last heard on 1994’s "Vinterskugge."

"Vårjevndøgn" is a monumental journey of epic heavy metal mixed with an often more sombre doomy rock/metal atmosphere bringing to mind bands like US heavy metal veterans Pentagram, & also includes 2 tracks previously only heard on the limited ‘Traditional Doom Cult’ 7” Peaceville release from 2017. Primal Fear Posts New Music Video Online

Today, Primal Fear are releasing their highly anticipated 13th studio album, "Metal Commando." The title of the album is self-explainatory - "Metal Commando" contains 110% Primal Fear and is full to the brim with their signature power and energy.

In celebration of the release, they also release the new single and video "Hear Me Calling," which you can check out below.

Matt Sinner comments: "The special thing about 'Hear Me Calling' is, that we are combining the vibes of the first PF albums with the new Primal Fear of 2020. It's great, because Tom was a part of the song-writing and the basis of the song was made in my studio. Ralf made the lyrics, perfectly interpreting all the emotions and with a really strong chorus. Far away from home, in a shady plane somewhere between Peru and Bolivia, thinking about home ….. a strong combination of powerful guitar riffs, awesome melodies, groove and a great hook!" More...

Eshtadur To Release New Album In September

Columbian blackened death metal band Eshtadur have unleashed "Lowborn Bastard," the first single / video taken from their new album, "From The Abyss," set for release on 4th September via Blood Blast. Premiered via Metal Sucks, watch the video for "Lowborn Bastard" below.

Founded in Pereira in 2005, Eshtadur were born from a love of At The Gates, Soilwork and Septicflesh. A few demos, two EPs and three albums later, the trio have evolved to become one of the most intense and powerful extreme metal bands in South America.

ESHTADUR, meaning the rebellion of angels, can be most closely likened to bands such as Septic Flesh, Behemoth, Fleshgod Apocalypse, and Carach Angren. Like their scene counterparts, the band embodies a deathly melodic atmosphere that reaches into realms of darkness and despair through the decay of humanity. It seeks to rebel, in its darkened way, embracing the abject reality.

Eshtadur's rich touring history includes performances across Colombia, Peru, Mexico, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, USA and UK, and headlined a stage at Rock Al Parque in 2016. They have shared the stage and toured with Cradle of Filth, Vader, Graveworm, Coldblood, Abbadon Incarnate & many more.

"From The Abyss" is the follow up to their highly regarded third album, Mother Gray, which was released in 2017 via Bleeding Music Records. More...
