According to Billboard.com, DISTURBED have set the track listing for their third album, "10,000 Fists", tentatively due September 20 via Warner Bros. A track entitled "Guarded" was released to U.S. rock and metal stations this week, and will also be included on a sampler distributed at this summer's Ozzfest. The band's fully promoted first single, "Stricken", will hit radio at the end of July. The title track will be featured in the Electronic Arts football video game "Madden 2006".
DISTURBED will spend much of the rest of this year and next on the road. The group will begin a six-week tour the first week of August and in November, will headline the Jagermeister tour, which will be limited to House of Blues venues, with multiple nights at each stop. Following that, DISTURBED will top the bill on the third Music As a Weapon tour.
"10,000 Fists" track listing:

02. Just Stop
06. I'm Alive
07. Sons of Plunder
11. Land of Confusion

With regards to the musical direction on "10,000 Fists", vocalist David Draiman told Billboard.com, "It seems to fuse the brutality and darkness of [the 2000 debut] 'The Sickness' with the added melodic nature and complexity of [2002's] 'Believe'. It's more aggressive than the last record, and at times, more aggressive than the first one."

Preparing for the July 26th North American release of their magnum opus, This Godless Endeavor, Seattle’s NEVERMORE filmed the video for “Final Product” in Los Angeles this past weekend. On the video shoot and its concept vocalist Warrel Dane commented: “We shot the video last Saturday for ‘Final Product’ with director Kevin Leonard (Himsa, Diecast), and it was a blast. He came up with a great concept, capturing the vibe of the song perfectly. Lots of manic live band shots and a brilliant performance by an actor named Bob Jones, who played a creepy character obsessed by the dreaded black seeds referred to in the lyrics. It’s going to be one hell of a video, and we were all really happy to be working with Kevin again.” Pictures from the video shoot can be found here.
When asked what is the band will be doing in the forthcoming weeks, Dane commented: “Next step, some rehearsals for festival dates in Europe and then Gigantour. We’ll be playing three rotating sets on Gigantour, so fans going to more than one show will get to hear different songs. This way we’ll be fully prepared for our European headlining tour that starts immediately afterwards. Plans are in the works for another U.S. tour, but nothing is confirmed as of yet. Until then, see you on Gigantour.”
This Godless Endeavor was recorded in England with celebrated producer Andy Sneap (Machine Head, Arch Enemy), who recently remastered the band’s 2003 album Enemies Of Reality. Gigantour, which features Megadeth, Dream Theater, Fear Factory, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Life Of Agony, and more, will run across North America from late July to September. You can download and listen to “Final Product,” the first single from This Godless Endeavor.
Seattle NEVERMORE fans can catch a preview of This Godless Endeavor at the July 15th album listening party hosted by KISW 99.9 FM’s Metal Shop (venue TBA).

Reuters is reporting that singer Billy Corgan said on Tuesday (June 21) he plans to revive the SMASHING PUMPKINS, his Grammy-winning band which broke up in 2000 after more than a decade of blending alternative rock with the avant-garde.
In full-page advertisements in Chicago newspapers, the bald-headed Corgan said, "I want my band back, and my songs, and my dreams."
He did not say which if any of the band's former members would be involved in the revived group, which broke through with albums such as "Gish" and "Siamese Dream".
The PUMPKINS' top selling album was "Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness" which came out in 1995, but as the 1990s progressed their work became increasingly obscure as tensions arose in the group.

Belgian gory death metallers ABORTED have announced the addition of guitarist Stephane Souteyrand (YYRKOON) to the group's ranks. "Stef's first shows are this weekend on none less than the Fury Fest and the Graspop festivals," vocalist Sven de Caluwé writes on the group's web site. "We can't wait to get on the road this weekend and do these among the other festivals we have planned, see you on stage to blast like hell!"
Commented Stephane: "I've been a fan of the band for several years now, especially since their 'Goremageddon' album. It's a real honour for me to join the ABORTED line-up. I will do my best to drive an awesome surgery!! Enjoy! See you soon guys!"
Guitarist Bart Vergaert left ABORTED in May for "personal reasons."
Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl says of his Nirvana days in Entertainment Weekly's latest issue: "I was the most unrecognizable person [in Nirvana]. Kurt was in the spotlight, Krist was, like 6 foot 8, and I was just kind of this ball of hair in the background."
Celtic Frost are to work with Hypocrisy/Pain mainman Peter Tagtgren on their new album 'Dark Matter Manifest'. Work will start at a studio in Germany during early August.
The following message was sent out by GENITORTURERS frontwoman Gen and MORBID ANGEL bassist/vocalist David Vincent regarding missing MORBID ANGEL guitarist Tony Norman:
"MORBID ANGEL are scheduled to fly to Portugal this Wednesday for a huge festival. As of today, no one has seen or heard from Tony Norman, MORBID ANGEL's rhythm guitarist, who also used to play in the band MONSTROSITY.
He was last seen by us at our friends wedding when him and his girlfriend were seated at our table. This was well over a month ago and no one has had contact with him since that we can determine.
We have contacted many of his friends, parents etc... no one has heard from him We think that he has recently moved within Tampa to a new place… No one seems to know where and none of his phone numbers are working…. so no one at this point is able to reach him.
At this point David and the rest of the MORBID ANGEL crew are really worried about him as it is not like him to be out of touch. A missing person's report has been filed.
If you know him or anyone that has contact with him… please help us contact anyone you know who might also know him or his girlfriend."
