According to a posting on the label's web site, "This five-peace set out to create a fresh and heavy form of catchy death metal without any boundaries whatsoever. They wanted to incorporate huge synthesizers into the music, along with blazing virtuoso guitar soloing, which would all be backed up with complex but catchy rhythms and every style of singing known to metal in general."
SCAR SYMMETRY's debut album, "Symmetric In Design", was released in February of 2005. A follow-up effort is expected next year.

The show was Friday, June 10th, an unusually hot day in Huntington, West Virginia, very humid. I entered the Monkey Bar through the front doors, courtesy of the club manager who was also just arriving for the evening. This was the first time I had entered the bar since the move from 3rd Avenue. The stage where Bobaflex was setting up was bigger than the entire old instance of the club, with an all new truss filled with lights and a new sound system. I was excited to see them indoors in such a large venue, a home state venue to boot. More...

Launch Radio Networks reports: The new STATIC-X album, "Start a War", features the recording debut of former SEETHER drummer Nick Oshiro, who joined the group on its tour in support of 2003's "Shadow Zone". STATIC-X frontman Wayne Static told Launch that Oshiro's abilities as a live drummer had an impact on the making of "Start a War" as well. "This is actually the first record where we didn't try to fix the drums in the computer or anything like that," he said. "We just recorded the drums with the band, playing live, and the drums are what they are. There's no samples, there's no straightening things out, and I think this record has a real, sort of live STATIC-X feel to it because of that."
"Start a War" arrived in stores on June 14.
STATIC-X has added a batch of new shows to its current tour with AMERICAN HEAD CHARGE and BLOODSIMPLE. New dates include:

Behemoth was forced to cancel their Friday show at the Summer Blast Fest in Germany due to car accident the band had on the way to German border. Here's what Nergal said:
We took off Thursday night for Germany, but on the way to the border we all fell asleep.including our driver. I remember I was sleeping pretty hard when suddenly I felt the van start shaking. Heard one of my guy's screaming at the driver. We were in shock. Our van hit the leftside guardrail and we managed to pull over shortly after. The car was still driveable but at the border they wouldn't let us thru coz of the broken lights. We hate to cancel any shows and we hardly ever do, but this time it was an unfortunate accident. We wanna say sorry to all the fans who were waiting for us Friday evening. Shit happens but I can promise that we are coming back to Germany soon!
Nergal also told us about a recent incident that happened in Texas, US. Their van was shot 10 times with 9mm gun.
That was just insane. We stayed at a hotel in Texas, after the show in Houston. We were separated in 3 hotel rooms while usually we take two and some of the guys (who can't stand snoring or heavy partying) stay in the van. This night we were just lucky. Around 5:00 a.m. someone shot the van with 9mm gun and ran away. He definitely wanted to blow up the van by aiming at the gas tank. Fortunately it didn't happen. Still he hit the driver seat and a passenger seat. Today when I talk about it, it sounds funny but we all were pretty scared that morning. Can't even think of what would have happened if there were any guys in the van.
