Marilyn Manson Video is Murder Evidence
British prosecutors used clips from a Marilyn Manson video as part of a murder trial last week.
Prosecutors showed clips from Manson's The Golden Age of the Grotesque, in the trial of 16-year-old Luke Mitchell, accused of killing 15-year-old Jodi Jones. Prosecutors showed snippets of the album's bonus DVD which contained images of bound and hooded girls being left in the woods. The prosecution alleges that the video implies molestation -- though nothing but tied bodies are shown -- and that it in part helped inspire Mitchell to kill his schoolmate.
Mitchell told investigators he listened to the goth-lite band before his arrest. How that ties into a murder trial, however, wasn't immediately apparent.

Nasum Vocalist Missing In Thailand
NASUM singer/guitarist Mieszko Talarczyk is among the 800 Swedes still missing in Thailand following the massive undersea earthquake measuring 8.7 on the Richter scale and resulting tsunamis along South Asia's coasts. The latest estimates are that over 23,000 have perished in the region.
The remaining members of NASUM have posted the following message on their web site:
"It's very hard for us to make this announcement, but since rumours are already out on the Internet we must make an official statement: Mieszko Talarczyk is missing in Thailand.
Mieszko and his girlfriend went to Thailand to spend the holidays. They left a few days before Christmas and were scheduled to return right after New Year's Eve.
They were staying in a bungalow at Phi Phi Island and when the big wave came and swept the bungalow away the two were separated. Mieszko's girlfriend is being reported hospitalized 'badly injured' but she has been in contact with among others Mieszko's sister who has been posting an 'I'm looking for...' at the Phuket Disaster Forum.
This is everything we know right now. Since we are all shocked by this surreal situation we strongly advise fans of NASUM to respect the anxiety we and the Talarczyk and Thorén families feel at this time, and NOT post questions by email or in the guestbook at Nasum.com. We will post all sorts of news on the website, but again, please respect our wish in this uneasy time.
Sincerely, Anders, Jon and Urban of NASUM."

Windir Make a Tribute DVD to Frontman
After the tragic death of Windir frontman and founder Valfar in January 2004, the rest of the band decided to bury Windir with Valfar. But after encouragement from Valfar’s family, the remaining members decided to do one last Windir concert. The concert took place at Rockefeller auditorium in Oslo at the 3th of September 2004, which is the day that would have been Valfar’s 26th birthday. Rockefeller was sold out, and over 1200 people took a final Farwell with Windir.
This DVD contains the complete Windir concert from the 3rd of September 2004. Windir guitarist Sture did most of the vocals at this concert, but it also includes guest vocals from Cosmocrator(Mindginder) and Valfar’s brother Vegard.
Besides the last concert, the DVD includes Windir liveclips from Gaupne (1996), Sogndal(2001&2) and the Infernofestival in Oslo 2002 to name a few.
It also includes some backstage material, an interview with Valfar from Norwegian national TV and a photo gallery. Vreid guitarist Ese has produced the DVD at Hváll’s Studio 1184 this autumn. The Windir DVD is entitled “SognaMetal” and will be available through Tabu Recordings in February 2005.
