After a good week of rehearsal in Los Angeles it was good to finally kick off in San Francisco last Thursday. All shows have been good so far. Good crowds yearning for some Black Metal and good attendance. The show at The world-famous Whisky in L.A being sold out. Playing-wise, the show in Phoenix last night was the best one. Motley Crue Tracklisting, More Tour Dates & Video
The raucous rulers of the sex-and-drugs-fueled nightlife on L.A.'s Sunset Strip have returned to their old stomping grounds. All four original members of Motley Crue, the glam-metal gods who've sold more than 40 million albums worldwide and who paved the way for other seminal rock acts, have reunited for the first time in six years, announcing a new world tour — VH1 & VH1 Classic Present "Mötley Crüe: Red White & Crüe Tour 2005…Better Live Than Dead" — and giving their fans a live taste of it. Tickets go on sale this Saturday, December 11 at Ticketmaster and VH1.com.
The event at the Hollywood Palladium began at 6:00 p.m. with a press conference announcing the tour, a new anthology album and the debut of a fresh single and video, "If I Die Tomorrow". The new tour, it was revealed during the press conference, resulted not only from strong demand by homegrown audiences, but was largely fueled by the diligent efforts of Mags Revell, a U.K. promoter with Metropolis Music Group, who launched his own grass-roots campaign in the U.K. designed to get the band to reunite. Taking the unprecedented steps of placing advertising in U.K. media and putting a hold on concert venues in the U.K. for June, 2005, Revell's efforts quickly gained traction with fans all across the world who added fuel to the fire by taking to the Internet and spreading the word.
Said Revell, "I honestly did not know until now whether Motley Crue would respond to our efforts. With the help of tens of thousands of fans in the UK and around the world, I wanted to show the band that there was a real demand for their reunion and I took a big risk. This is the band that we all never thought we'd have the chance to see live again and I strongly admire them for responding to their fans. It is the realization of a dream for so many people for whom Motley Crue represents what rock music is all about.”
"Motley Crue are a gang of musicians that climbed the mountain of rock to success," Allen Kovac, CEO of Tenth Street Entertainment, said in a statement. "This tour and new music delivers to all those who love one of rock's most passionate and aggressive bands." More...
Atrocity And Leaves Eyes Attacked By French Police
After their grand finale show of the Atlantis Lovelorn Tour in La Locomotive, Paris, Nov. 28, Atrocity and Leaves' Eyes experienced an arbitrary infringement by the French police.
Right after crew and band had finished the loading of their bus in front of La Locomotive and the adjacent varieté Moulin Rouge, policemen appeared and told the bus driver to leave the street immediately. Due to traffic jam this was not possible at once. The policemen started to speak in a very aggressive tone that culminated in the threat of arresting the bus driver. Moreover, they took his papers away, thus Liv Kristine and Alexander Krull complained about the rude behaviour of the police. Then, suddenly a bunch of policemen, some in civil dresses, rushed the bus and attacked the musicians. As a result of their action, Alex Krull was injured, as several policemen beat him and violently pulled him out of the bus and down to the grown. Also, Liv Kristine was thrown against the wall of the bus and was hurt, too. Without any explanations, Alex Krull was arrested, along with him bus driver Helge, the Dutch tour guide Harald and the German journalist Robert Suß who had only tried to calm the policemen and keep them from attacking Liv Kristine again. They were all arrested in front of hundreds of visitors at Moulin Rouge and other clubs who witnessed the happening. The four of them were taken to the police station, where they had to stay for about three hours without any explanation for the arrest, any hearing or announcing of their rights. Only intensive pressure from the German embassy lead to their release. Still the police gave no explanation for their aggressive treatment, nor any excuse.
All these facts concerning these inconceivable happenings will be announced to both the German Foreign Bureau and the Head of Police in Paris.

The band already made a name on their own in the worldwide vegan straightedge scene, but it will be a big mistake to categorize Deadlock as just another band in the currently booming MetalCore genre.
This band has much more to offer than alot of the currently hyped acts, this band has great music skills and the right hand for harmonies, but most important Deadlock have depth.

Walls Of Jericho Announce Nationwide Tour
Detroit's Walls of Jericho have announced they will headline a nationwide tour this winter with Bury Your Dead, Full Blown Chaos and Premonitions of War playing support. The band has made up for a two year hiatus in spades since they reformed last summer to play Hellfest 2003. Since that time, the female-fronted metalcore combo comprised of Candace Kucsulain (vocals), guitarists Mike Hasty and Chris Rawson, Aaron Ruby (bass) and Alexei Rodriguez (drums) have not sat still for a moment. Most recently the group completed a sucessful headlining run through Europe on the Eastpak Resistance Tour with Unearth and Sick of It All, playing to over 1,000 kids a night. Right before that Walls of Jericho were Stateside on tour with Mastodon and Fear Factory, and then again with labelmates Bleeding Through and It Dies Today. This non-stop touring was an effort to bring live the force of their latest Trustkill Records album, "All Hail The Dead", to audiences.

Candiria Part Ways With John LaMacchia
Candiria have parted ways with guitarist John LaMacchia, here's the official word from band bassist Michael MacIvor:
"I just wanted to take this time to make a lil announcement about this upcoming tour that we are about to embark on. Those of you who will be coming out to see us on this next run of dates will be the first people to see the debut of Candiria's two new guitarists. That's right we have two new members of the band. The two new guys are Steve Fakelman and Darren Carter. Some of you will know Darren by the name he uses on our forum, DC11.
"These two guys rip as guitarists, and I have to use this time to both thank them for being great musicians and having the talent to learn our music in record time. These guys have so much heart it's ridiculous and they have the chops to back it up."
"Now, I know that you guys must be thinking "ooohhh drama". But it ain't like that. John has left the band but it really is for everyones best interest. It's hard for me to actually admit that, but I am coming to terms with it and it really is the truth. Eric is gearing up to have a back surgery that is going to put him out of commission for several months. The past few months of touring have been hard on all of us, but Eric is in really bad shape. So for the best interest of his health, it was imperative for him to have this surgery."
"So Candiria could have taken these obstacles and had a " woah is me " attitude. But being the improvisers that we are we did just that. Improvised. We made some phone calls , booked a plane ride and had a few jam sessions. And we are ready to go. I shit you not, I am so confident in hitting the road in the next few days. I can't wait to play with these guys. And what I really can't wait for is the Stillborn fest dates. Because I know that by then we are going to be on fire. Never a dull moment in our world."

Black Label Society Sign With Artemis
Artemis Records has announced the signing of BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, featuring legendary guitarist Zakk Wylde, to an exclusive worldwide licensing, multi-album contract. An album of all-new material, "Mafia", is slated for a March 8, 2005 release. Artemis Chairman/CEO Danny Goldberg commented, "Zakk Wylde is one of the greatest guitar players of all time and BLACK LABEL SOCIETY is poised to become one of the world's biggest rock bands".
A regular on the covers of such esteemed magazines as Guitar World, Guitar One and Guitar Player, in 1987 at the tender age of 19, an unknown Zakk Wylde was hand-picked by OZZY OSBOURNE to be his lead guitarist. In addition to his responsibilities as Ozzy's main axe slinger, Wylde was responsible for co-writing many of Osbourne's best-selling multi-platinum albums, including "No Rest for the Wicked", "No More Tears" and "Ozzmosis". The current issue of Guitar One (Holiday 2004) again features Wylde on the cover. Guitar World has recently described Wylde's skills as "skull-crushing electric prowess."
Wylde's musical mastery has spawned numerous instrument product endorsements. His signature products include four custom Gibson guitars, a custom Epiphone guitar, a limited run Marshall amplifier (which sold out in one day), EMG pick-Ups, GHS strings and Dunlop pedals. Wylde can be seen prominently featured on the current MTV series "Battle For Ozzfest".
In 1998, Wylde formed his own band, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, while still maintaining his role as Osbourne's lead guitarist. In BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, Wylde serves as sole songwriter, lead vocalist and of course, lead guitar player. To date, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY has released six albums and has sold in excess of one million units worldwide.

Trivium Set Date For Ascendancy
On March 1st TRIVIUM, will release "Ascendancy", their debut album for Roadrunner Records. Filled with brutal technical precision and buttressed by dual shredding guitars, blast beats and vocals that move from a scream to a croon, Ascendancy is a pure metal album in the truest sense of the word. Featuring the talents of Matt Heafy on Guitars/Vocals, Travis Smith on Drums, Corey Beaulieu on guitar and Paolo Gregoletto on bass, TRIVIUM is a band whose youth (Heafy is 18, the oldest member is 22) belies their sound. Currently, TRIVIUM is on the road with ILL NINO, 40 BELOW SUMMER and THE AUTUMN OFFERING previewing songs from "Ascendancy".
Musically, the Jason Suecof produced "Ascendancy" defies easy definition; possessing elements of thrash, progressive and hardcore metal to create a sound that is at once timeless and ahead of its time. Lyrically, the album is an open wound, skin peeled back to reveal the inner machinations of the 18 year old Heafy and the scars of his lost innocence.
“This album deals with many realizations based around this theme,” says Heafy. Ascendancy, to me, means the overcoming of life's obstacles-to rise above everything and overcome the corruption of the world around me.” The track “Pull Harder on the Strings of Your Martyr”, a not-too-subtlely cloaked take on our government, describes a villainous tyrant who simply kills and destroy s at will, pushes his faith upon all, is hated by all world powers, yet is still loved by the people he rules. The chilling track “A Gunshot to the Head of Trepidation” deals with the grim realities of domestic abuse and its cyclical realities. “Like Light to the Flies,” which appears on the MTV2 Headbangers Ball Vol. 2 compilation and the video for which received a number of spins on HBB already, is about people’s seemingly insatiable attraction to tragedy.
The album's artwork, created by Paul Romano (MASTODON) carries on the lyrical themes addressed throughout the album. The cover, a painting of a mythological creature coming out of its cocoon and rising from the ashes of a city below is the embodiment of "Ascendancy".

Shai Hulud Look At The Past, To The Future
The Shai Hulud camp has provided an extensive update regarding recent developments. To summarize: The Shai Hulud retrospective has now been completed. The CD will consist of the band's original demo with Damien Moyal, Chad Gilbert's first recording with the band, a three-song live set at NYU, in additional to other miscellaneous features. Look for that one to hit streets in February 2005. Meanwhile, the group has been preparing a reissue of their earliest releases. Producer/engineer Zeuss has been remixing material from their "Hearts One Nourished With Hope" release and their "The Fall Of Every Man" split. Essentially, the two aforementioned releases, in addition to the "Profound Hatred Of Man" EP (everything the band released with Crisis Records), will now be repackaged and released with new artwork on one CD through Revelation Records next year.
In related news, the band is also working on a DVD, tentatively entitled "Pray Not A Fallen Banner." Details are sketchy at this point, but here's what the band says about it: "Yes, the DVD. Being worked on. We have a lot of footage to sift through. The DVD will cover the band from top to bottom. Should be neat to hear how badly we played in our formative years, and hilarious to see how little we improved years later."
Moving on... now that Shai Hulud is no longer a band (so to speak), the new project, now called The Warmth Of Red Blood, has been working on new material. Thus far, they have completed three songs, with several more in the works. The group will eventually record a demo to shop to labels, before ultimately releasing a full-length. The outfit still haven't landed upon a new vocalist though. They are seriously considering a few candidates, but are still accepting vocal auditions.
