Dimmu Borgir To Guest On Battle For Ozzfest
Dimmu Borgir will make an entertaining appearance on MTV’s reality series “Battle For Ozzfest” for a full episode airing next Monday, 12/13 at 10:30 PM EST.
While on tour for the successful 2004 Ozzfest our favorite Norwegian Black Metal band spent a full day of controversy and mayhem on MTV’s “Battle For Ozzfest” which became a full episode airing next week December 13th.
If you haven’t been watching the show already you may not know that Dimmu Borgir's "Progenies Of The Great Apocalypse" taken from their acclaimed release "Death Cult Armageddon" (which has currently scanned over 79,000 units) is also the theme music for the whole season’s worth of shows.
For more info, visit MTV's Battle of Ozzfest.
Dimmu Borgir have crushed many metal Black Metal standards with their highly successful "Death Cult Armageddon" such as debuting on the Billboard Top 200 at number 169, receiving multiple “Best Metal Album of the Year” accolades, having two songs featured in the trailer for the highly successful Hellboy movie, their video for "Progenies Of The Great Apocalypse" being voted the 4th "Best Metal of the New Millennium" by fans (nominated by Headbanger's Ball and Revolver) & by being the first Black Metal band invited to perform on the main stage at Ozzfest not to mention their latest accomplishment of having their music as the theme for MTV's newest program "Battle for Ozzfest" which will feature our favorite Black Metallers in a full episode.
Nevermore's "Enemies Of Reality" To Be Remixed
Producer Andy Sneap (Machine Head, Arch Enemy, Skinlab, Masterplan) is remixing Nevermore's "Enemies of Reality" album for re-release via the Century Media label in early 2005.
"Enemies of Reality" (2003) was originally recorded in Seattle with producer Kelly Gray (Queensryche, Slave to the System, Dokken) and was widely criticized for its muddy, inferior production compared to that of its predecessor, 2000's "Dead Heart in a Dead World", which was produced by Sneap.
Nevermore are expected to enter the studio with Sneap in February 2005 to begin recording their follow-up to "Enemies Of Reality", tentatively due late summer/early fall via Century Media.

Watch Them Die Album Update
The savage Oakland-based purveyors of aggression Watch Them Die are currently wrapping up the songwriting process for their highly anticipated sophmore release and Pat Vigil (vocals) checks in with the following update:
"Greetings from the west, this is Vigil of Watch Them Die here to bring news of the past present and future. First we would like to thank Black Dahlia Murder, Cattle Decapitation and Goatwhore for having us on the last tour and it was a sick one. Since then we have been creating the second chapter of Watch Them Die. We truly feel this next record will dictate our version of a metal onslaught. We are also proud to introduce the world to our new guitarist Sun. He is a long time friend and brother and he has brought a new level of talent and power to the table. We hope you will enjoy the feast.
"We recently filmed a video for the song 'Sadist Ways' and would like extend our gratitude to all that contributed to the making of this video. We hope it meets your eyes soon. We will be shooting another video for the new record early this year. Again we greatly appreciate all of our fans and supporters, our goals and visions would not be possible without you. Also, a growing respect to all of Century Media and the Watch Them Die armies. Keep your skin peeled for the second chapter of violence! Sincere respect."

What I saw was a lot of different opinions, but among the differences, two albums rose to the top.
Without further ado...[drum roll, please]...the winner of Metalunderground.com's "Best Metal Album of The Year" honor for 2004 is: More...
