Diecast To Headline US Tour

The Boston-based quintet Diecast are set to embark on a headlining U.S. tour alongside The Hoods and Winter Solstice immediately following their stint on the Heavyweights of Hardcore tour. The trek kicks off on Jan. 20th and runs through Feb. 10th. The group's highly acclaimed new album, "Tearing Down Your Blue Skies," is now available. A new video for the track "Rise and Oppose" will be shot by Kevin Leonard (Himsa, Walls of Jericho) on Jan. 19th and look for it to makes it debut in late Feb.

Diecast just wrapped up a highly successful run on the Radiotakeover.com tour alongside E-Town Concrete, Devilinside and Twelve Tribes. Jeremy Wooden (bass) checks in with the follow tour wrap-up:

We just got back from the Radiotakeover tour with E-town Concrete, Twelve Tribes and almost Devilinside. It was amazing and we had a blast with all the bands. It started off slow with smaller shows, but all the kids who went out made us all feel like we were playing in front of thousands of fans. A lot of kids came up to us after the set saying that they were a bit skeptical about our singer change and new material (mostly due to internet gossip) but after seeing us live said we were way better than we've ever been. Stand out shows on the tour were definitely, New Jersey, Massachusetts, New York (Albany and NYC) and Pennsylvania (Allentown and Philly).

Thanks to the promoters (minus 2 or 3) who treated us very well, fed us, drank with us, etc. We'd also like to thank everyone who came out to interview us on the road. Except for the two shit-bags who decided to piss all over the sofa and our singers bag (your lucky I'm a pacifist now), you were all great to us. We also got a Monster energy drink sponsorship on the road, so that kept us nice and perky for the long drives.

Well, we are home to spend time with family and enjoy the holidays and then it's back on the road in January with legends Hatebreed and Agnostic Front. I've also been informed that Tony and Mike from Devilinside will be getting something new together so be on the lookout, those guys are amazing musicians and great guys. Have a great holiday and we'll see you on the road soon.

Orphaned Land Video Available For Download

The video for Israeli band Orphaned Land’s ambitious song “Ocean Land” from their Century Media debut "Mabool" has been posted for download here. Shot in Israel it is the band’s first video, and was filmed in the midst of hundreds of Medusa jellyfish where the band got ‘jellied’ repeatedly. Vocalist Kobi Farhi sang for hours underwater, and unintentionally drank gallons of water. Guitarist Matti also performed his guitar solo underwater. Vocalist Kobi Farhi:

Hello everyone and shalom from the Orphaned Land of Israel! Finally after many years we filmed a video clip. The video is for the song "Ocean Land" from our latest album "Mabool." It was a very hard day of working and we were on the set for 18 hours.

We worked with a very famous actress named Hila Vidor and she was unbelievable. It was an inspiring adventure to work with her. If you ask me, she is the Queen of the Sea! I think that it's a great video and it's about time that you will all be able to watch it and judge for yourself.

Appearing in multiple reviewers’ top 10 albums of 2004, the band’s Century Media debut "Mabool" has received a warm welcome from worldwide press. You can listen to an MP3 of the song “Ocean Land” here.

Dimebag Killer's Mother Talks About Her Son: Video

Columbus, Ohio television station WCMH has posted an exclusive video interview with the mother of the man who gunned down former PANTERA guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott and three others during a concert last week. You can watch the video at this location.

According to the Associated Press, Mary Clark told WCMH on Wednesday (Dec. 15) that her son, Nathan Gale, was released from the Marines in 2003 after the military diagnosed the disorder. Gale's rampage last week ended when an officer shot him to death.

Clark, who asked the station not to show her face on camera, also said she bought the 9 mm semiautomatic handgun used in the shooting for her son, before he was diagnosed, because she was proud of his military service.

"I'll never, never be able to live that part down," she said.

Gale, 25, of Marysville, charged the stage at a show by Abbott's new band, DAMAGEPLAN, on Dec. 8 at the Alrosa Villa nightclub. He shot and killed four people, including Abbott, before police officer James D. Niggemeyer shot him to death.

Clark said Niggemeyer had no choice.

"I give that man credit," Clark said. "You'll never know how many lives he saved."

Two others were wounded in the attack, including tour manager Chris Paluska, who was released from the hospital Thursday.
