Extol Finish Shooting "Pearl" Video

Extol bassist Tor Magne Glidje has posted the following message on the band's official website:

We're finished shooting the "Pearl" video! It took us two days to get things right,- and it was just like the "24" series! The guys in Helmet Productions didn't sleep for like 48 hours, only working and working to get what they wanted! The locations were awesome,- really dark and spooky... But, it's probably the coldest experiences we've ever had!! It was snowing, and we were only wearing t-shirts... We are used to snow here in Norway, but this was like the Northpole! We had a an actress who stayed in ice-cold water for like 3 hours straight! We hope she didn't get sick!! The video is supposed to be finished in the beginning of January. We'll keep you updated!

Thanks to all the people involved;- Helmet Productions and crew, Silence the foe for letting us sleep on their floor, and all the actors,- especially Beate and Anne!

Have a blessed Christmas and a great new year everyone! This year has been really hectic in the Extol-camp, but we can't wait to see you guys on tour next year! We're so excited...

"Pearl" comes off of Extol's fourth full-length album "Blueprint" due in stores February 21st in Europe.

Mob Rules Posts Year-End Wrap-Up

German melodic power metallers Mob Rules have posted this year-end wrap-up on their official website:

This year is approaching its end - exciting, thrilling, busy and successful but straining and frustrating in some moments. This is to wish you a merry Christmas and to all of yours and you have already got the flowery phrases of a happy New Year from everyone around. So we'd like to feed you with a short outline of Past - Present - Future:

Talking about a knotty year would partly meet the matter.

It was in May 2004, when our fourth album has been launched - "Among The Gods" - and attracted great acceptance with press and all of you. The following up release - show at the Pumpwerk in Wilhelmshaven was goose bumping in some parts to all of us and a special great night - Thanks a lot for that!

Summer was that time, when Oliver quitted as our lead guitar player. He had a tough choice - we all know that - and he tore a hole in both ways: as a great musician and a real friend!

Luckily Sven Lüdge fills his part right now. For he was with Murder One before, we knew he would suit the band not by just being a terrific guitar player but having a tremendous person with us.

We have also had a meeting with four video producers about making another video. Two of them are Johan and Per who did Innocence Gone and Chaos vs Order. The other two are graphic designers and will be presented later.
