Cyst Seeking Drummer, Wrapping Up CD and 7"

Victor Bonilla, drummer of Cyst, has decided to leave the band, so Cyst needs you blast beatin' bastards in the West Palm Beach / Ft. Lauderdale area to give us a shout if you think you can hang with these thrashers. Anyone interested in trying out can contact info@bycocer.com.

Syracuse New Year's Day Hardcore Show Details

The annual Syracuse New Year's Day Hardcore Show is happening this Thursday. Lots of awesome bands including Throwdown, Bane, Most Precious Blood, Walls Of Jericho, The Promise, Stabbed By Words, Freya, and more are all playing. Advance tickets are only on sale until Wednesday (12/31/03).

New Corrosion Of Conformity Album In The Works?

Corrosion Of Conformity will be contributing a brand-new song to a compilation CD being released through High Times Records. The album, titled "High Volume", is expected to surface around April 20, 2004 and will feature a number of other "great bands," according to a post on C.O.C.'s official web site.

In other news, "there is finally serious talk of buckling down and getting some real work done on the next C.O.C. record. Hopefully we'll have some actual news concerning that matter very soon." More...

Impiety Lineup Change

Singapore's Impiety have posted the following update at their website (listen.to/impiety):

"A major line-up change has taken place in the Impiety kamp! Absurd as it sounds, Fauzzt (drums) has lost his interest & dedication in Impietyand left to play in a punk band. There was never any official reason given for his departure to Shyaithan (vocals/bass) and Fyraun (guitarist) at all but the band had already anticipated his moves with given info from close komrades. And just 2 weeks after that, Fyraun decided to call it a day from the force. Fyraun felt he could no longer go on as time became scarce between his new fulltime work, family and the band. More...

New Edition Of Moonsarrow's 'Suden Uni' Out Now

Finish Viking metal band, Moonsorrow, has released a new edition of their debut album. This New edition of the "Suden Uni" album has been remastered and comes with a new booklet, new album cover, a bonus track and special bonus dvd with two music videos plus Tuska Festival 2003 live performance. Crematorium Give An Update

Crematorium will be heading into the studio in the early months of 2004 to record the follow up to 'For All Our Sins' which at this time is entitled 'The Process Of Endtime'. The Album will be released on Prosthetic Records hopefully in the early months of Summer. Crematorium will also be on another full US tour during the Spring as well as February and plans to make it over to Europe this Summer is also in the works.

Crematorium plans on using Neil Kernon to produce this next album. Kernon has produced the last two Cannibal Corpse records as well as the new Deicide album.

Nocturnal Rites Set Album Title

Swedish melodic metallers Nocturnal Rites have reportedly set "New World Messiah" as the title of their follow-up to 2002's "Shadowland", tentatively due in early 2004 through Century Media Records. Working songtitles include "Against the World", "The Icon" and the projected title track. The group's bassist Nils Eriksson had previously described the new material as "pretty much like we've always done...[but] maybe just a tad better."

My Dying Bride And Grimfist Confirmed For Inferno

My Dying Bride and Grimfist (featuring Horgh of Immortal) are the two latest bands to be confirmed for the Inferno Festival, taking place April 8-10 in Oslo, Norway at the Rockefeller/John Dee. Bands so far confirmed are Mayhem, Decapitated, My Dying Bride and Grimfist, with the full list being announced on January 24th.

Murderdolls To Play California In January

Murderdolls, the band featuring Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison on guitar, singer Wednesday 13 (formerly of North Carolina horror-metal outfit Frankenstein Drag Queens From Planet 13), ex-Dope guitarist Acey Slade, bassist Erik Griffin, and drummer Ben Graves, have lined up the following dates in January:

Jan. 15 - Key Club - Hollywood, CA
Jan. 17 - The Showcase Theater - Corona, CA

In other news, Wednesday 13 has announced plans to do some select solo shows in early 2004 to promote his new "Thirteen Dead Kids" merchandise line. Backing him on these shows will be Floridian "grave rockers" Death Becomes You (web site).

Confirmed Wednesday 13 solo dates:

Jan. 30 - The Money - Rock Hill, SC
Jan. 31 – Hartley's House of Rock - High Point, NC

Additional Wednesday 13 dates will take place in March. More information will be made available soon.

Requiem Aeternam Return

Uruguayan melodic Black Metallers Requiem Aeternam have returned. Last summer guitarist, and vocalist Jose Romero re-located to New York City to reform the band, and to record a new album. Now, the band is preparing the recording sessions for their long time awaited second album entitled 'Philosopher'. There isn't a date scheduled yet, but it's confimed that it will be recorded at Jersey City's Big Blue Meenie studios.

The album will include ten songs working titles for some songs are:

Rectitude
Entelechy
Passions
