Mustaine To Guest On Dickinson Radio Show

Megadeth mainman Dave Mustaine will be the featured guest on Iron Maiden singer Bruce Dickinson's BBC 6 Music radio show next Saturday, September 11. Mustaine's appearance on the show, which can be heard online at this location, will include some "controversial stuff," according to Bruce.

Megadeth's highly anticipated new album, "The System Has Failed", is scheduled for release on September 14 through Sanctuary Records. The CD was recorded at Phase Four studios in Tempe, Arizona and features Mustaine alongside drummer Vinnie Colaiuta and bassist Jimmy Sloas. Additional lead guitar tracks were laid down by former Megadeth guitarist Chris Poland.

"The System Has Failed" will be Megadeth's first album since the announcement that Mustaine was disbanding the group following a serious accident in early 2002. At the time, it was unknown if severe nerve damage in his left arm would leave him able to perform again.

VomitoryTo Carry On As Four-Piece

Swedish death metallers Vomitory have abandoned their vocalist search and will carry on as a four-piece. "The interest for the vocal job has been great but we haven't found what we've been looking for," the band write on their web site. "So we reconsidered our situation and looked upon it from different perspectives and came to the obvious conclusion that we are going to change nothing! We believe that Vomitory has never sounded better than we do now, so why fix something that isn't broken?"

Vomitory's fifth album, "Primal Massacre", was released in April through Metal Blade Records. The follow-up to 2002's "Blood Rapture" was recorded at Studio Kuling in Örebro, Sweden with producer Henrik Larsson and was mixed at Berno Studio.
