Swedish death/thrashers Within Y will play together with N.C.O., Evildoer and Deadawaken at The Rock - Linköping, October 23, in a show called "Börsen Made us Do It." It's a show where every band has a guy working in one of Musikbörsen music shops around Sweden. Hopefully this is something that will happen in more Swedish towns soon...

Caligula Loses Vocalist
The rumors regarding the departure of Caligula vocalist Ryan Kennedy are indeed true, as Kennedy and the group recently parted ways. Here's a statement from Kennedy:
"After almost 2 years with the band, I have been asked to leave the band due to some internal issues in the band. Over the 2 years in the band, it has always been a struggle of ups and downs, but mostly downs. I have parted ways with the band and wish them the best of luck in the future. Thanks to everyone who has supported me and the band when I was in it."
Kennedy has now started a new, yet-to-be-named project with Joe Spagnuolo (of Calamityproject.com noteriety).
Abacus To Release Turmoil Discography
It's now official that Turmoil plan to release a discography through Abacus Recordings. Turmoil was still technically under contract with Century Media Records at the time of their breakup, so it should come as no suprise that Century Media imprint Abacus will be releasing the effort. The retrospective, tentatively entitled "Staring Back," will consist of two CDs containing all of the band's recordings in addition to three unreleased songs that the band will record later this year. Look for the release to surface in early-2005.
Six Feet Under Postpone European Tour
Florida-based death metallers Six Feet Under have postponed their European tour to early 2005 in order to allow drummer Greg Gall to be home for the impending birth of his child (Greg's wife is reportedly due in November). No further information is currently available.
Six Feet Under have covered AC/DC's entire "Back In Black" album for their forthcoming release, "Graveyard Classics II," which is due on October 19 through Metal Blade Records (one day earlier internationally).
Mustaine Attacks Ulrich and Hetfield
Megadeth mainman Dave Mustaine has spoken to Canada's Chart Attack about the inclusion of a scene in Metallica's "Some Kind of Monster" documentary in which Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich sits down with Mustaine for a one-on-one therapy session.
"Everyone says how the part with me [in the movie] is the most intense. Yeah, because I'm the only one who thinks Lars is a punk," Mustaine said. "Everyone else is afraid of him. He looks like a fuckin' Eminem wannabe right now. Anyone who watches that movie and doesn't realize that whoever comes into contact with Lars hates him… If you watch the movie closely, you see that Lars treats everyone so badly. They all end up in therapy! Even the counselor ended up in therapy! More...
Behemoth Finish Video For New Song
Polish black metallers Behemoth have finished filming a video for the track "Conquer All," off their upcoming CD, "Demigod."
"We worked with Joanna Rechnio, one of the most talented Polish video producers," Behemoth frontman Nergal said in a statement. "The whole filming session took us about 11 hours and I believe we did a great job. It's for sure the best thing we have done so far."
"Demigod" was mixed by Behemoth frontman Nergal and producer Daniel Bergstrand (Meshuggah, In Flames) at Dug-Out studios in Uppsala, Sweden. Mastering duties were handled at the Cutting Room studios in Stockholm. A guest appearance by Nile's Karl Sanders is included in the track "Xul."
"Demigod" is tentatively scheduled for release this fall on Regain Records in Europe, Mystic Records in Poland, Raven Music in Israel and Irond in Russia. A U.S. release is planned for early 2005.
Mindgrinder To Enter Studio
Norwegian extreme metal band Mindgrinder, featuring ex-Source of Tide drummer/keyboardist Cosmocrator, will enter Akkerhaugen Lydstudio (Emperor, Zyklon, Windir) in Norway in November to record their sophomore album, tentatively due in early 2005 via Nocturnal Art Productions.
Mindgrinderissued their debut album, "MindTech," in April through Nocturnal Art Productions. The CD was recorded in December 2002 at Akkerhaugen Lydstudio and was originally slated for release through Sound Riot Records — a plan that was eventually abandoned due to the label's "financial problems," according to the group.
Watchtower Reissue "Energetic Disassembly"
The techno-thrash gods of yore have decided to reissue their debut "Energetic Disassembly."
The following update has been issued via the official Watchtower website:

It will contain a 10 page booklet, featuring lyrics, photos, liner notes from Doug and Jason and a collage of 80s magazine quotes/articles.
The song order is as on the original vinyl release.
Flesh Made Sin Sign With Karmageddon Media
Dutch thrashers Flesh Made Sin have signed a deal with Karmageddon Media. Here is an official statement from the band:
Finally we found some lost souls daring to release the first full-length assault of Flesh Made Sin. We really appreciate the offer of Karmageddon Media to let us spit our ripping Thrash-metal to a higher level and a bigger audience. The thrashed up mirror of today's reality. Murder and suicide go hand in hand with malignancy and horror. The eyes of god have been closed upon us. Watch the flesh commit the sin. Envy the stillborn, for they bare the gift of unlife. The true salvation!
Here is the tracklisting for "Dawn Of The Stillborn":
01. Crowned In Torment (mp3 clip)
02. Possess The Flesh (mp3 clip)
03. Dawn Of The Stillborn
04. The Cleansing (mp3 clip)
05. Descending Life
06. Ritual For The Dead
07. Wastelands
08. Spiritual Death-Trip

Megadeth On Rockline This Coming Monday
RocklineRadio.com has posted this message on their website:
Too long. Way too long since we've been given a new Megadeth album. That has all changed with the release of "The System Has Failed" which became available September 14th. Now on the next Rockline Dave Mustaine, and perhaps a few more of the lads, will join us to discuss the long wait, Dave's injury from May of 2002, the current line up and the "Blackmail The Universe Tour." If you can't wait to speak with Dave, check out Megadeth.com and get the whole scoop beforehand. The single, "Die Dead Enough," has set the stage for the band's return to their rightful place as Rock icons and puts them back on Rockline where we share a tremendous history with one another, including their first ever live acoustic performance on U.S. radio a few years ago.
Their tour begins October 23rd in Reno and wraps November 20th in Minneapolis. Hopefully, there will be plenty more to follow. Dave remains the leader and front man (he IS Megadeth) and will be joined on stage by Glen Drover on guitar, James MacDonough on bass. Nick Menza retains his position as skinbanger and timekeeper. If you've not heard the new album, brace yourself for politics, paranoia and piss and vinegar; just the way we like our Megadeth. The album is garnering universally good reviews and we can't wait to share it with you and find out all about it and the behind the scene information. Don't miss Megadeth, exclusively on the next Rockline!"
