Suidakra Reveals New Song Titles

German metallers, Suidakra, have issued the following update:

"At first big thanks to everybody who attended Chicago Powerfest and one (or even more) of the six Paganfest USA West Coast dates to witness our first live appearance on the North American continent! We knew before that there were some SuidAkrA fans coming to the shows, but we were absolutely, positively surprised at how many people really knew our music. To see people start singing along made each show a big metal party from the minute we started playing — it was a blast! There were people flying in from Alaska and even Japan to see us and it was a big pleasure to talk with them and a lot of other fans after the shows. Admittedly, there were also a number of people that hadn’t heard of SuidAkrA before, but we felt that they also got into it and had a good time nevertheless... ;-) Read our tour report with tons of pictures here!" Crown The Lost Posts Two New Songs Online

Crown The Lost has posted final versions of two new songs online: "Defame the Hypocrites" and "Blind Faith Loyalty." The latter was previously posted in pre-final form.

The band comments on the recording process and end results:

"While we lost two members along the way and totally missed our projected finish date due to circumstances beyond our control, we are beyond enthused with the final product and anxiously await our subsequent live shows, whenever they may be."

"The album would not be what it is without the tireless work efforts of our producer, Dave Watson. Watson's infinite patience and dedication towards the project never ceased to amaze any of us and deserves the bulk of the credit for how the album sounds. In a perfect world, he'd be recording some upper-echelon metal band, not five jag-offs from Pittsburgh..."

There is not currently a release date set for "Blind Faith Loyalty" and the band is still seeking a record deal for its release, eyeing a fall release time-frame.

Avenged Sevenfold Posts Update From Maiden Tour

Avenged Sevenfold frontman M. Shadows has posted an upbeat update from the Iron Maiden tour:

"We just started the tour with Maiden and I hear a lot of you guys are getting really worked up about the shows. Lets start with Norway, it was our first time there and we were blown away by the support we received. We can't wait to come back on this tour with Maiden in a few weeks and see you all again.

"As for Italy, it was our first time opening up directly for Maiden. Now just so you're clear, when we took this tour we knew it was going to be hard and we knew that Iron Maiden fans were very dedicated people. So when we heard a "Sevenfold" chant before we hit the stage we knew it would cause a stir with the crowd, but it made us proud and really got us excited about our fans over in Italy. We heard horror stories about opening for "Maiden." Everything from standing backwards on stage so that the trash coming
from the audience didn't hit you in the face to having bottles filled with piss thrown at your head. So after the show we felt pretty good about everything since we got to play for a lot of people and we got to see how many great fans we had there representing. So when you go to these shows don't get upset if people don't understand just yet what Avenged Sevenfold is all about. We are not a straight up metal band that is catering to their audience, we do our own thing and thats why we have so many dedicated fans.

"We did this same thing 2 years ago with Metallica, the difference then was that we had 40k kids a night with their arms crossed and not many fans. Now we are feeling the love from you guys and the one thing this tour is proving to us is that we need to come back and headline for you all after this is over.

"So the point is we are having a great time at the shows, and you should too. Don't get all upset about a couple bottles being thrown, next year half those kids may have A7X on their IPOD and we could be their new favorite band. Like I said, we knew what we were signing up for and we are glad so many of you are supporting us through this tour. You are some passionate motherfuckers! See ya'll soon!"

Across Tundras Parts With Saw Her Ghost Records

Across Tundras has opted to re-release their "Western Sky Ride" album, originally released by Saw Her Ghost Records, with a new label. The band explains:

"Due to some differences of opinion about the handling of the 'Western Sky Ride' CD between Saw Her Ghost and Across Tundras, we are making the decision to buyout the remaining copies of 'Western Sky Ride' from Saw Her Ghost and searching for a new label to repress the CD once those copies are gone.

"Please direct all inquires for press, distribution, reviews, radio, mailorder, ect for 'Western Sky Ride' to Across Tundras and no longer Saw Her Ghost. We wish them luck... they have a lot of great bands on their roster, it just didn't work out between us. Keep supporting them all!

"If you are a label who wants to can work hard properly promoting this release and is interested in repressing WSR CD please get in touch!"
