Clutch Teams Up With MVD Distribution
For the past 8 weeks, Clutch's first ever DVD "Full Fathom Five, Video Field Recordings," and accompanying CD have been available at the band's legendary live shows, through Merch.com and in about 150 select US, Canadian and UK independent retail outlets chosen by the band's owned and self distributed Weathermaker Music label. This will increase ten-fold, as Weathermaker has teamed up with the MVD Entertainment Group to expand the reach of the "Full Fathom Five" project.
On November 11th, the acclaimed live Clutch DVD and accompanying "Full Fathom Five-Audio Field Recordings" CD will be available in over 1500 new retail outlets such as FYE, Best Buy, Coconuts, Fry's, Hastings and Barnes & Noble.
"This is a fantastic progression for us after only three months as an active label." states Weathermaker Music Label Manager Jon Nardachone. "Originally, our intention was to handle all CD and DVD sales directly through Weathermaker, but having the MVD Distribution team on board for the "Full Fathom Five" project ensures many ecstatic Clutch fans this holiday season."
In other Clutch related news, some of the incredible footage from the "Full Fathom Five" DVD will be featured on Comcast Cable's On Demand "Concert TV" channel starting December 15th, along with classic rock icons Led Zeppelin, Judas Priest, Black Crowes, Deep Purple, Santana, U2 & Motorhead.
Clutch's live concert footage was produced and directed by Agent Ogden (Primus, Jon Comer, Music With Altitude) in Pittsburgh, Sayerville, Denver and Sydney Austrailia on the band's 2007/2008 "From Beale Street to Oblivion" world tour. The track "Power Player" from that release, as well as "Full Fathom Five," is featured on the Saw V Motion Picture Soundtrack released last week.
Clutch is confirmed along with Thin Lizzy, Black Label Society and Hawkwind to play the Hard Rock Hell Festival on December 6th in North Wales. Upon returning home, they will headline a short run with Viking Skull and Russian Circles as support.

Flatline's New Album Scheduled For Release
Flatline's new album, "Pave The Way" has been scheduled for an early 2009 retail release on Stand and Deliver Records. The band has had success in 2008 with the digital release of "Pave The Way" through Stand and Deliver Records and digital distribution company The Orchard.
"With the huge success of the digital release, we decided that it was time to put the album into stores" says Matt Polena owner of Stand and Deliver Records. Stand and Deliver has inked a physical distribution deal with Uprising/Red Sony for all of their new releases in 2009.
Flatline recently finished up an East Coast tour with Walls of Jericho, 36 Crazyfists, and It Dies Today, which was a huge success, then joined in on several dates with In This Moment in support of the digital release. Flatline will again be on tour for the physical release on February 3rd 2009.

Immortal Explains Screamfest Cancellation
Norwegian black metal legends Immortal has posted the following message online:
"We’re extremely sorry for the disaster that took place in Oslo last night at Screamfest. The venue staff ruined our show in advance, and we let all of you down.
"The feeling of not being able to perform for dedicated fans having travelled in from all over Norway and the rest of the world, is beyond description.
"First of all, the security in the hall was not very good. At first, they wanted us to perform without crash barriers in front of the stage, which could have been an even worse situation because of the pyrotechnics on stage. After that was taken care of, we had the final confirmation that the fire alarm system was disconnected, and we would not face any problems due to this. Our pyrotechnics effects were approved by the fire department, we had invested a lot of money into this show, and really wanted to give our fans a special evening. More...

Tom Fischer Speaks On Celtic Frost Breakup
Triptykon/ex-Celtic Frost frontman Tom Fischer has posted the following blog online:
"Even though the events in question are already many months in the past, I continue to be asked almost daily why Celtic Frost broke apart. It's a question to which I know the answer but which is extremely difficult to explain. It is a question, not least, which I pose to myself all the time as well, regardless. As I probably will for as long as I live.
"What a sorry, damp joke Celtic Frost had become behind the scenes during the last few months of the band's existence. It was impossible to continue, surrounded by one whose perpetual preposterous boasts and insolent tirades bore an ever decreasing relation to reality and one who could no longer be bothered and ultimately belied the commitment he had frequently confirmed to me since we began working together again. But then, I had predicted exactly that to his face on more than one occasion. More...

Inked In Blood Calls It Quits
Portland, Oregon band Inked In Blood (Facedown Records) has essentially disbanded after cancelling their tour plans recently and being relatively inactive of late. Vocalist Joey Trump has issued the following statement:
"So yeah, as all of you have observed, we haven't been doing anything for a while. There are about a million reasons for this very large 'snag' that we've hit, but the genesis of them all can be traced back to these two: 1. Members that are available to tour 2. A vehicle that we are allowed to use for tour
"Our staggering amound of resistance from the universe, who seems to be an opposing force bent on crushing us to pieces, seems to always be depriving us of one or both of the above *essential* components. It's been going on for a quite a while, but the frequency (ever increasing as it is) has taken its toll. You can't, CAN'T have a band without members. Unless you're Madonna, or Seal (ha, Seal...I wonder what that guy's doing these days?); but I digress...or unless you hire computers to play all the other instruments. Which would look stupid, because by the time we got to your town it would only be Kelly and I on stage with all this other sound coming from no where. And before you even think the words 'fill-in touring member,' just hold that thought. Although some of our fill-ins have been wonderful, and we'll always cherish those great times had with them (you know who you are), the rest seem to have been secret agents sent to chop off whole limbs at a time. And let me tell ya, when that happens...YUK! Soo much blood. But, again, I digress... Also, our traveling problems don't seem to be going away any time soon. Which, for any band, are the kinds of problems that tend to be the most costly. What that means is that we can't come and play for all of you beautiful and wonderful people. Which is heart-wrenching for those of us who would still do that...if it were possible. And as of now, it really seems to be the opposite of possible, and then some. For sure though, if we could...we totally would! More...
