Suidakra Announces US Tour Dates

SUIDAKRA will be coming to the USA on the Pagan Knights tour with Faroese Viking metallers TÝR and Scottish pirate metallers ALESTORM.

SUIDAKRA's debut DVD "13 Years Of Celtic Wartunes" was released by Wacken Records in the USA on October 7th.

SUIDAKRA looks back to their 13 year band history with 8 album releases, more than 200 gigs and various touring activities. The band has seen a steadily growing following over the years in the German Metal scene.

The new album "Crogacht" will be released in Germany February 20th, in Europe February 23rd and in the USA/Canada on March 3rd. Song titles include "Conlach," "Isle Of Skye," "Scathach," "Feats Of War," "Shattering Swords," "Ar Nasc Fola," "Gilded Oars," "Baile's Strand."

Nothingface Posts Short Message of Reassurance

Since announcing plans to reunite earlier this year and reportedly working on new material, Nothingface has been fairly quiet in the news. With all of the members' side projects including Hellyeah, Noise Within, and Knives Out!, one might wonder if Nothingface is still on track with their reunion.

Now, the band has issued a short message of reassurance:

"To the fans... Just wanted to say THANK YOU so much for all the support over the years!

"Nothingface is very much ALIVE and WELL...

"The Violence Returns in 2009"

Nothingface reunited earlier this year and started writing and recording music for a new album, marking the first time the band's original members have worked together as a unit since their "Violence" record in 2000.

Apocalyptica Charts With Latest Single

Apocalyptica's latest single, "I Don't Care" featuring Adam Gontier of Three Days Grace, has landed at 1 on the BDS and Mediabase Active Rock radio charts. The fact that they have supplanted Metallica at the chart summit is somewhat ironic considering Apocalyptica's roots as re-interpreters of the seminal metal band's work.

Apocalyptica's sixth album and first for 2020/Jive Records, "Worlds Collide," is their most successful to date in the US. The first single from the album, which cracked the top 10 of both the Active Rock and Alternative charts, as well as receiving a good deal of video airplay, was "I'm Not Jesus" featuring Corey Taylor of Slipknot. "I Don't Care", the album's second single, has not only hit 1 on the Active Rock charts but is also 3 Alternative and has received extensive video play on MTV2, Fuse, and Music Choice. The album also features guest appearances from Cristina Scabbia of Lacuna Coil, Till Lindemann, and Dave Lombardo of Slayer.

In support of "Worlds Collide," Apocalyptica has been touring the USA extensively as a headliner as well as making memorable appearances at radio festivals and a historic main stage performance at this year's Ozzfest. The band also recently made is US television debut with a live performance on NBC's "Last Call With Carson Daly."

Hear GNR's Entire "Chinese Democracy" Album Online

Guns N’ Roses will be world premiering their long-awaited album "Chinese Democracy" on their MySpace page tonight at 12AM EST (9PM PST). The album will be hitting Best Buy stores exclusively on November 23rd. The band leaked a new song, "Better," earlier this week and the title track single is all over radio.

Obituary Announces Tampa, Florida Show

Death metal legends Obituary has announced that they will be playing a show in Tampa, Florida on December 19th. Special guests on the show will be S.W.A.A.T.S., Blood By Dawn and Unkempt. The show starts at 8PM and is an 18 and over show. Tickets for the show will cost $15.

Chimaira Gives Another Update, Filming DVD Footage

Chimaira has issued yet another update from the studio sessions of recording their followup to "Ressurrection." Here's the update from vocalist Mark Hunter:

"We have been working in shifts to get this record done. Jim starts in the morning, Rob and Matt (when he’s not off at regional sporting events) track mid afternoon-early evening and then I have been coming in to do vocals around 8pm. We are about 40% done tracking right now. Chris and I still have a lot of work left but we are confident we’ll finish it this year…haha hopefully by the middle of next month.

"We got a new camera and are having a bit of difficulty logging some of the footage so be patient on the webisode front. Todd “dead-eye” Bell has returned to do some more filming so he should be able to help the problem.

"Oh yeah, we have been filming for a dvd to come with the new record.

"Time to battle the arctic wasteland that used to be Cleveland and hit the studio, write more soon."

Chris Spicuzza (keyboards and effects) added in another update:

"I moved into the studio last Monday. Things are moving at a slow pace. It’s taking me about 2-3 days per song. I have one full song done and about 3 other songs at about 60% complete."

Brian "Head" Welch To Be Featured On L.A. Ink

Former Korn guitarist turned solo artist, Brian "Head" Welch, will be a featured guest star on the December 4th episode of L.A. Ink. The segment was filmed earlier this summer and Head got a new tattoo on the show. Check your local listings for details in your area. The episode will appear on the TLC channel. L.A. Ink usually airs at 10pm (9pm on your hd channel) on TLC; and sometimes the show airs at 7pm.
