Krypteria Drummer Checks in with Festival Recap

S.C. Kuschnerus, drummer of German goth-metal band Krypteria, has checked in with the following recap on the M'era Luna Open Air in Hildesheim, Germany:

"We are back from an exciting trip to the M'era Luna Open Air in Hildesheim. And this is exactly what a great festival is supposed to be: Fantastic weather (albeit pretty damn hot on stage), flawless organisation, an energetic capacity crowd and a chance to meet the fans and the media after the show.

"We could not be happier right now - especially because we admittedly were a tad nervous prior to our performance, which marked our first live action in a year due to the extensive recording process of 'My Fatal Kiss.'

"But you guys made us feel welcome, so to everybody who was there: We thank you for your support and your energy and we hope to see you all during our German tour this October.

"Well, some of you we will see again at next week's Summer Breeze Open Air in Dinkelsbuehl (Sat, August 15, 2 p.m.) - looking very much forward to it.

"Btw. The new Sonic Seducer's magazine cover looks amazing - more on this later."

Kypteria's upcoming album, "My Fatal Kiss," is due out August 28 in Germany, Austria & Switzerland.

An Interview w/ Gallows Guitarist Laurent Barnard

Formed in 2005, Gallows is an English hardcore punk band from Hertfordshire, England. Guitarist Laurent Barnard united with bassist Stuart Gili-Ross, and with the rest of their band mates released their debut album, "Orchestra of Wolves." Austrian Death Machine Reveals New Album Details

Metal Blade Records Release:

"The heaviest metal band in the world (by sheer mass) has finished their follow up to Total Brutal - get ready for Double Brutal! Not satisfied with the limitations offered by putting out a single disc album, Ahhnold demanded two full cds full of muscle pumping metal! When asked why they needed two discs and why he thought that was best, he quickly replied, “Two discs made it heavy and brutal enough to crush our enemies, see them driven before us, and to hear the lamentations of their women!!!”

"Double Brutal is packed with more “juice” than a professional athlete. Disc one features soon to be classics See You At The Party Richter, and Let Off Some Steam Bennett. Disc two is crammed full of metal covers, complete with Ahhnold’s take on them, including Metallica’s Trapped Under Ice and Killing Is My Business…and Business Is Good by none other than Megadeth."

Gallows Postpones New Zealand And Australian Tour

Gallows has issued the following update about postponing their planned New Zealand and Australian tour dates to go on tour with AFI in the United States:

"With their tour on the verge of an imminent sell out, Gallows have announced that they will be postponing their upcoming Australian dates. The band were offered an unmissable opportunity to build on their already rabid following in the US with a national tour supporting AFI.

"Due to their unwavering commitment to their Australian fans Gallows were about to turn down the offer when a spot became available on Soundwave 2010. Gallows and their Australian promoters apologise for any inconvenience this has caused but they promise it will be worth the wait!

"Ticket holders in Sydney and Melbourne (18+ only) please hang on to your tickets as they will be valid for the Gallows Sidewave shows (with the added value of some extra special guests as well). Ticket holders in Brisbane and Adelaide can take their tickets back to the point of purchase for a full refund.

"We're so sorry to our friends in Australia and New Zealand for pulling out of this tour and from all the messages we've received we know there are a lot of you out there. We've been huge AFI fans since the beginning and we don't want to turn this opportunity down to later regret missing out on the chance to tour with one of our favourite bands. Hopefully this gives you time to learn the lyrics and scream your hearts out with us when we return next year."

The Destiny Program Issues New Album Update

The Destiny Program has issued the following update about mixing their new album:

"Hello everyone...time for some more news...

"We are finally mixing our upcoming full-lenght with Tue Madsen at Antfarm Studios, Denmark. And as you might have expected, it was the best choice to work with him again as the new material really needed him to sound as good as it does now and to get the THE DESTINY PROGRAM touch to the music. It is seemingly getting a bit more natural and 'raw' as the previous record but as said before, the new material rocks big time! We will have it finished by the end of august and surely hope that you will like it as much as we do...

"We are also in the final steps of getting the artwork finished. This time we got in touch with artist extraordinaire Seldon Hunt (www.seldonhunt.com) to get all our ideas together... So expect something you didn't expect... There aren't any samples uploaded as we are still talking to different labels about a possible release...more news about this will be up soon!

"But we are in the works for european release-tour in december and if you interested in setting up a show, contact REBIRTH AGENCY here: info@rebirthagency.com ...So, things keep rollin'!!!

I won’t lie, its been hard as we now live far away from each other and we had always been against sending sound files and writing outside of the rehearsal room but necessity might become the mother of invention. There were some bare bones exhumed at the last rehearsal and we all know they must become our priority as another grey and rainy summer comes to an end. That’s all I can really say at the moment." Nervecell Signs to Lifeforce Records

Lifeforce Records is proud to announce the signing of Dubai's premier Death Metal act NERVECELL. NERVECELL's Lifeforce debut will be the release of "Preaching Venom" on October 26th in Europe.

Guitarist Barney Ribeiro comments "After months of discussions, negotiations and debates on seeking a secure label for our latest album 'Preaching Venom,' and the future of Nervecell during these difficult times in the record industry, the long awaited chase has indeed come to an end. We are extremely proud to announce that Nervecell has now officially signed to Lifeforce Records and to say that we are thrilled about it is the understatement of the year! We honestly feel that this new relationship with Lifeforce is a great accomplishment and one that many once thought was impossible for a metal band based in the Middle East; but as the NERVECELL legacy will tell, we are no strangers to breaking boundaries and crushing the limitations that we have constantly faced during the last 9 years in our career as a Dubai based death metal band. Having said that, to be the first band originating from Dubai to ever be on a label is a pretty cool bonus and yet another record broken!" More...
