Ektomorf Shares New Music Video
Since their debut, "Hangok" (1994), the four-piece around singer/guitarist Zoltán "Zoli" Farkas has regularly delivered new power to their devotees. With their return to form on "Reborn," Ektomorf impressively showcase their undeniable thrash metal power. Today, they’ve released a new video for their single "Fear Me" off Reborn!
Guitarist & Singer Zoltán "Zoli" Farkas about "Fear Me":
"One more video from the Reborn album, dedicated to the Ektomorf family across the globe! I hope this will make your day! 'Fear Me' is tight and heavy riffing, with some amazing harmonies in the mid part. I send this song to those in my life who deserve it on a maximum level! You’re welcome to do the same."
Only three years after the release of their chart-breaking full-length, "Fury" (2018), "Reborn" ignites a blazing fire with its heavy sound and harsh lyrics that will burn any genre limitations to the ground. Their 15th studio album breathes the spirit of the "Big Four" – Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax and Megadeth – while at the same time, beginning a completely independent new chapter of Ektomorf. More...
Endseeker Releases "Bloodline" Music Video
This past April, Endseeker released their new full-length, "Mount Carcass," via Metal Blade Records - which debuted at #22 on the German charts! Today, the band has launched a video for the album track, "Bloodline", which can be viewed below.
Endseeker comments: "With the video for this absolute headbanger, we wanted to go all the way back to the roots and shoot the clip all by ourselves in our rehearsal space. No budget, no crew, just the five of us like we used to do it back in the days when we started the band. Pure and raw, just like the song."
Having become one of the premier German death metal bands - and rapidly rising the ranks of the genre as a whole - Endseeker storm back into the fray with "Mount Carcass." Building on the groundwork laid down on 2017's "Flesh Hammer Prophecy" and having the difficult task of besting 2019's stunning "The Harvest," they have returned with a streamlined, powerful collection that further raises the bar.
Metal Underground recently spoke with Endseeker guitarist Ben Liepelt to discuss "Mount Carcass" and all things related to the album. The interview can also be seen below. More...
Waking The Cadaver Reveals New Album Details
US deathcore kingpins Waking The Cadaver return with new single / lyric video "Threaten Physical Force" and announce the release of forthcoming album, "Authority Through Intimidation," out 22nd October 2021 via Unique Leader. You can watch the video to "Threaten Physical Force" below.
Waking the Cadaver are an American death metal/deathcore band from Jersey Shore, New Jersey, formed in 2006. The quartet grew to become one of the most exciting bands in the US underground, touring with the likes of Napalm Death and Immolation, and releasing three albums within a six-year span; "Perverse Recollections of a Necromangler" (2007), "Beyond Cops, Beyond God" (2010) and "Real-Life Death" (2013). Their live shows became somewhat legendary for their brutality and power.
Following a huge tour in 2013 with Dying Fetus, Exhumed, and Abiotic, Waking the Cadaverwent on hiatus, but returned in 2018 with fresh sound and new line-up, with only vocalist Don Campan and guitarist Michael Mayo remaining. Now signed to Unique Leader Records and armed with their phenomenal new album "Authority Through Intimidation," Waking the Cadaver are ready to reclaim their crowns as the jingpins of death.
Guitarist Mike Mayo commented on the new album: "I believe Authority Through Intimidation is the definitive Waking the Cadaver album. Our mission statement for writing it was SLAMMING GORE GROOVE. That’s been our slogan since the beginning and I think this collection of songs exemplifies its meaning more than any of our previous albums. We really wanted level up the technicality and song writing of Real-Life Death, while also having more nods to our first album Perverse Recollections of a Necromangler. I think we succeeded in doing just that. Listeners will be able to hear our love for bands like Dying Fetus, Last Days of Humanity, and Disgorge, as well as our love for early Hatebreed and All Out War."
Produced by AJ Viana (Cognitive, Through the Eyes of the Dead), "Authority Through Intimidation" hits harder than a hammer to the head and takes no prisoners with its polished but powerful live production.
Vocalist Don Campan commented: "I am extremely proud of 'Authority Through Intimidation' for the intensely disgusting brutal vibe it has casted out into the Universe and beyond. Slamming gore groove has been summoned by its worldwide fans and they will not be let down. This album has all of our infamous alien guttural overlord vocal styles and raw signature slam dunks, with wicked fresh ferocious shredding attacks delivered from a musical-masterminded line up. The Kingpins of Death are stoked and proud to have the one and only next level blasting machine Lord Marco on drums giving this new material a cutting edge injection." More...
Voivod Launches Documentary Kickstarter Campaign
From unlikely origins in northern Québec at the height of the Cold War, Voïvod’s post-apocalyptic sci-fi aesthetic fuelled by a youthful obsession with their instruments took them from underground success to sharing tours and stages with Iron Maiden, Rush, and Metallica. There were, of course, high and lows throughout those 40 years, from major-label support and Billboard recognition to seismic line-up changes and an event many critics claimed to be the end of Voïvod: the death of co-founding guitarist and composer Dennis "Piggy" D’Amour.
Voïvod have now joined forces with metal film director Felipe Belalcázar to make their official documentary, We Are Connected. "We have worked with Felipe in other projects and we have a mutual understanding of Voïvod’s story," says Michel "Away" Langevin. Exclusive interviews and archive access combined with Away’s artwork will take you on a sci-fi, thrash-metal journey into the Voïvod dimension. "We managed to film about a quarter of the interviews planned before the pandemic hit in March 2020, and plan to resume production once cross-border restrictions are lifted," adds Felipe.
Among the perks offered, Voïvod fans will have the opportunity to get exclusive, limited-run art prints signed by drummer Michel "Away" Langevin, in true Voïvod fashion, anaglyph (3D) album and film art for their wall, and a video download of their set at the 70k Tons of Metal cruise in 2018 (preview below) Voïvod’s crowdfunding campaign will run from July 6th to August 15th 2021, with shipping expected to begin in the last week of August. Be sure to visit the Kickstarter page for all the details. More...
Kill The Imposter Posts New Music Video Online
Florida’s deathcore all-stars Kill The Imposter released their new album "The Violence Sessions" this past May and have a new music video for the opening track "Broken Crown," which can be seen and heard below.
"This song is about a little girl that wants to grow up to be an evil queen, but finds out that being that kind of person will always backfire." adds the band.
"The Violence Sessions" is the third release from KTI, following 2019’s "The Decimation" and 2020 "A Strain Of Agony" EP. According to guitarist Danny Arrieta, this album is the result of years of anger and frustration of being told you can’t, you’re not ready, you’re not this or that, and saying "No" with everything in your soul and the conviction - to fight tooth and nail for your place in the world.
Heavy and tight, your hair will stand on end and you will feel the energy KTI has poured into this release. As each song blares through your speakers, every note, beat, and lyric will awaken the energy in you to get up and go! More...

Loch Vostok Guitarist Tells Us Of The "Opus Ferox"
Progressive metal is a strange thing. On one hand, many progressive metal bands sound very different from one another, but on the other, listeners will almost immediately recognise it when they hear it. Since such bands as Queensryche, Fates Warning and Crimson Glory burst on to the scene, the sub-genre has evolved and taken on a life of its own, becoming one of the more popular brances of metal in the modern world.
One such band which can both be pinpointed as a progressive metal band but has also grown and developed a sound of their own, would be Sweden's own, Loch Vostok. Combining Celtic and Russian words, the Northern European collective has gone from strength to strength over the last twenty years, releasing critically acclaimed music and garnering a fan base the world over.
Recently, Metal Underground caught up with the band's mastermind Teddy Möller, the founder and guitarist of the group who until last year, was also the vocalist. In this brand new interview, we discuss the band's awesome new album, "Opus Ferox - The Great Escape" and the story behind the record, new vocalist Jonas Radehorn, why Möller decided he didn't want to sing anymore and much more. You can watch the conversation in full below. More...

"Legends Of The Shires" saw the return of vocalist Glynn Morgan, for the first time since the band's 1994 record "Psychedelicatessen." In regards to rejoining the band, and recording the follow up to "Legends...," Glynn explains: "It's an absolute buzz meeting up with the guys again and totally exciting to be getting going again.
