Kylähullut, the side project formed by Children of Bodom frontman Alexi Laiho, will be playing their first ever gig at Kuopio Rockcock festival on July 30th in Väinölänniemi, Kuopio along with bands like Apulanta, CMX and Kilpi.
Since pulling the plug on their MTV reality series, The Osbournes, Ozzy Osbourne and his family are free of ubiquitous TV camera crews. As he prepares for this year's Ozzfest, Osbourne said that he doesn't miss the constant surveillance: "At first when I started doing the Osbournes, it was a lot of fun. And then things started to happen, like my kids couldn't handle it, I couldn't handle it, my wife got sick with cancer. Wherever you go it's full of somebody with a boom mic or a wire and a camera. You get kind of freaked out, 'cause you start looking around the house for hidden cameras and whatever, you know."
The program chronicled Sharon Osbourne's battle with cancer, as well as younger children Kelly and Jack Osbourne's stints in rehabilitation for drug and alcohol abuse.
Ozzfest 2005 begins on July 15th in Mansfield, Massachusetts. Osbourne will be performing with Black Sabbath this year, topping a bill that includes Iron Maiden, Mudvayne, Rob Zombie and, on the last seven shows, Velvet Revolver.
After eight years of silence, Brazilian death metallers SEX TRASH are back. The band quit in 1997 after the tragic death of lead vocalist Oswald Scheid in a car crash.
The band have just signed a deal with Cogumelo Records and are currently working on a new album. "There's a lot of crap [out there] today and we think that this 'old school' death metal is still good enouth to play and to listen [to]. So we decided to come back and here we are," drummer Quake said in a statement.
Last month, SEX TRASH opened for KREATOR in their hometown, Belo Horizonte.
SEX TRASH will enter the studio next month to begin recording their as-yet-untitled new album, tentatively due this summer.
The CD will be the group's first full-length studio effort since 1992's "Funeral Serenade". SEX TRASH's current lineup consists of Doom (vocals), Marck (Guitars), Kruegger (bass) and Quake (drums). An official web site will be launched soon.
