MOTOGRATER have posted the following message on their official web site:
"Unfortunately, there are no updates for you at this time. I guess you could say that we're on indefinite hiatus right now. Doesn't mean we're dead, just means hiatus, haha. Anyway a few of the boys have decided to do some side projects to pass the time.
"Crispy and Ivan have a project called GHOST MACHINE (www.ghostmachine.net). They just recorded a six-song demo, which came out amazing. Check it.
"JR and A-Bomb are jamming together in a band called SYNTHETIC DELUSION out of Denver, CO. Evil stuff....

Sacramento's melodic, blackened tech-metallers WITH PASSION have parted ways with drummer Jacob Peete. "Jacob has officially left the band to pursue personal interests but we are not slowing down and all shows are on," the band write on their web site. "We want to welcome Justin (JACK'S SMIRKING REVENGE) on drums as he will be filling the spot for us on tour. We have been working hard everyday preparing for tour starting May 27 in Ohio and we look forward to seeing everybody on the road again."
WITH PASSION's Earache Records debut, a re-release of "In The Midst Of Bloodied Soil", hit U.S. stores March 22.
According to a post at SoulflyWeb.com, SOULFLY mainman Max Cavalera has been announcing during recent concerts in Europe that the the band's new album will be entitled "Dark Ages".
Cavalera recently returned to the recording studio to finish up a couple of tracks for the group's fifth full-length CD, tentatively due in September via Roadrunner Records. Mixing duties are being handled by Terry Date, who has previously worked with PANTERA and DEFTONES, among others.
SOULFLY's most recent studio album, "Prophecy", was issued in March 2004.
Contrary to a previous announcement indicating that the album would be a self-titled affair, Roadrunner Records U.K. has revealed that the new OBITUARY CD will now carry the title "Frozen In Time". The complete track listing for the album is as follows:

"Frozen In Time" is tentatively scheduled for release on July 12 (one day earlier internationally). The group's first collection of new songs since 1997's "Back from the Dead" was self-produced by the band, with Mark Prator and Scott Burns engineering, and was mastered by Tom Morris at Morrisound.
Seether's latest release, "KARMA AND EFFECT," available May 24th is just a couple of weeks away and the band will be out promoting their new album. On Monday May 23rd, the band will be the special guest on the syndicated radio show Rockline, taking questions from fans. The show airs at 11:30pm ET - visit Rocklineradio.com to find out where you can tune in. The next night, May 24th, Seether will perform live on The Jimmy Kimmel Show on ABC. The program airs at 12:05am ET - check your local listings for more details.
Cephalic Carnage have completed work on their first music video from their latest album. The video, for the track "Dying Will Be The Death Of Me," was shot in California with Darren Doane (Poison The Well) and, as Relapse puts it, features the band "kidnapping a white belt-wearing mall core kid to teach him a thing or two about good music." The video should debut in the very near future.
Drummer Tim Mallare has offically left Overkill, according to a posting on the group's web site. Mallare is said to have exited the group of "his own accord. His contribution over the last 14 years have been at the highest level. He will be missed!
Joining Overkill as the permanent replacement for Mallare is Ron Lipnicki, formerly of Hades. "[Ron's] work and talents have been tireless through the band's Euro tour," according to a post on the band's web site. "Overkill looks forward to presenting their newest member to YOU on the road!"
Tim Mallare originally came into the group prior to the recording of 1993's "I Hear Black".
Overkill are continuing to tour in support of their "ReliXIV" album, available now on Eagle Rock/Spitfire Records.
Megadeth mainman Dave Mustaine has posted the following message in the "Forums" section of the band's official web site:
"I am honored to announce that the fantastic group Symphony X has confirmed to join us for Gigantour this summer in the U.S.
"I am triple stoked, and I know you will be too. This is a great opportunity for both Megadeth and Symphony X fans to discover each other. AAnd they come highly recommended by Mike Portnoy [Dream Theater] and the Drover brothers.
"I would like to personally thank the lads in Symphony X for pushing the recording of their new record back in order to support my dreamchild of Gigantour. I look forward to meeting Mike Romeo and his crew and treating them better than they have ever been treated on any tour they have done."
Ohio's NBC 4 is reporting that a Columbus police officer talked publicly for the first time about a deadly shooting at an Ohio nightclub which claimed the lives of five people, including PANTERA/DAMAGEPLAN guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott.
Officer James Niggemeyer was the first officer to arrive at the Alrosa Villa nightclub in December after a gunman killed four people and took another hostage at a DAMAGEPLAN concert.
With no backup, Niggemeyer did what he felt was necessary to save lives. He fired one shot and killed Nathan Gale, who was on stage and still had the hostage locked in his arms.
"You just hope you never are involved in something like this," Niggemeyer said of the incident. More...
