Rochester, New York's Roses Are Red have signed to Trustkill Records. You may have seen them on the road recently with bands such as Norma Jean, Evergreen Terrace, Hey Mercedes, Story Of The Year, Glasseater, and more. They will be hitting the studio to record their debut album for Trustkill this spring, due out this summer. In the meantime, check out the band's official website to learn more about them, and listen to two new demo songs on their PureVolume site.
Look out for Slayer on the season finale of Discovery Channel’s Monster Garage on April 19. Watch as Slayer performs in the junkyard, in front of the boxing toyotas turned dueling robots.

German brutal Black / Death metal band have posted the following update on their website:
"We`ve booked the well known Mastersound Studios of Alex Krull (Atrocity, Belphegor, Sinister...) for two and a half weeks in August this year.
The guestmusicians are Paul Masvidal (ex-Death / ex-Cynic), Victor Bullok (Dark Fortress / The Shroud) and Alex Stütz (Seraph of Pestilence / St. Luzifer)."
Illegimitation will play at the Walpurgis Metal Days (April the 30th/May the 1th) together with Sodom, Haemmorrhage, Disastrious Murmur, Blood and others. Azmo (Tamisra) will help out at the bass guitar exclusively at this Festival.
New gigs are still in preparation for autumn/winter 2004; a second tour, this time together with Human Bloodfeast, Sycronomica and a great headliner is being confirmed now.
Finnish "pagan battle metal" act TURISAS have parted ways with bassist Mikko Törmikoski. "The decision to drop him out was made by us after returning from Sound Suite Studio in January," the band write on their web site. "The bass track on the upcoming album was played by Jussi [Wickström, guitar], who nailed it down with admirable perfection — all in a proper hangover of course. We have found a replacement for Mikko already, who will be playing session live bass for now. How we take it from there we'll look into later..."
TURISAS are currently finishing up work on their debut album, entitled "Battle Metal", at Steel Track Studio in Finland and will be heading back to Sound Suite Studio in Marseille, France to mix the album with producer Terje Refsnes (TRISTANIA, DESTRÖYER 666, MORGUL). A summer release through Century Media Records is expected.
NIGHTWISH's official website has revealed details of the band's forthcoming single, 'Nemo'.
Normal version (due out on April 19th): 'Nemo' (From The Album "Once"), 'Planet Hell' (From The Album "Once"), 'White Night Fantasy' (Non-Album Bonus Track), 'Nemo' (Orchestral Version) and enhanced part - studio footage.
Collector's Edition Digipack version (due out on April 26th): 'Nemo' (Album Version), 'Live To Tell The Tale' (Non-Album Track), 'Nemo' (Orchestral Version).
DVD version (due out May 3rd): 'Nemo' (full-length stereo mix), 'Nemo' (5.1 mix), 'Planet Hell' (5.1 mix), 'Nemo' promotional video, The making of 'Nemo'.

'Nemo' is the first single from Nightwish's forthcoming album, Once, due out on June 7th via Spinefarm/Universal in Finland, Brazil, Mexico and Chile, and the rest of Europe by Nuclear Blast. Expect the North American release date to be announced soon.
German Gothic metallers CREMATORY are the latest act confirmed for this year’s edition of the Summer Breeze festival which takes place August 19th - 21st in Abstgmund, Germany.
