As has been rumored as of late, From Autumn To Ashes guitarist Scott Gross has left the band. Gross is reportedly "pursuing other interests" (which apparently includes other musical projects). Vadim Taver, most recently of This Day Forward, will be filling in temporarily.
As previously reported, and taken from the upcoming May 11th The End Of Heartache release, Roadrunner Records and Killswitch Engage have released the mp3 for 'Rose Of Sharyn'. You can download it here.

Fear Factory have now put up for viewing their video for their first single. This comes off of "Archetype" which will be released on April 20th, through Liquid 8 Records. The song is called "Cyberwaste" and you can view the video here.
Since FIVE POINTE O's demise early last year, some former members of the band (namely Eric, Sean, and Tony) have regrouped to form a new project called THE BURNING DOWN. A few mp3's have made their way onto the net as well, check them out at theburningdown.com.
KORN have posted a remixed version of their song "Y'All Want a Single", featuring a guest appearance by embattled shock jock Howard Stern, at their official web site. Download it here.
Stern, whose radio show was pulled by Clear Channel off its stations last month because of indecency concerns, has hailed the video to "Y'All Want a Single" as "the most inspirational, the most spectacular understanding of what's going on in this country right now." The song, and especially its video, is an attack on radio conglomerates and the music industry, KORN lead singer Jonathan Davis told the Hollywood Reporter.
"The stuff we said in the video (is the stuff) the music industry doesn't want kids to know about," Davis said. "Everyone is in bed with everyone in the industry. One corporation owns all the video channels, one corporation owns all the radio stations, and all the venues we play at are also the promoters. It's a whole monopoly. They basically deem what kids are going to hear."

Ok, I NEVER thought i would be posting a first aritcle about the Darkness, let alone a second. However, with the hilarious emo-maniacally driven statements I can't help myself but laugh at these guys. The article I posted before they asked for 1.8 Million to play a festvial they were only given $75 bucks for last year. This band seriously must've been born to mothers who were addicted to crack, every single one of the members has a bigger ego then anyone ever should. I found great hilarity in this next post, where their bassist happens to state "We have more great hits on our debut cd, then Motley Crue did on their greatest hits album." To that I say, fuck you guys, you are seriously brain damaged to compare yourselfs to the 'Crue. Motley Crue is a band with way more talent, and way less annoying of a singer then you Justin. Your band is horrible and I really think you all should call it quits now, or at least get your heads examined!. With that said, please read the following article I found and I know you will all laugh at this as much as I did. Even though I hate the Darkness and I'm sure many of you do, please just read it, it's great. Sorry to post such a lengthy opinion but I have the right to do so! More...

DEICIDE frontman Glen Benton and legendary tattoo artist Paul Booth — two of the most blasphemous, controversial pillars of the metal scene today — will go head-to-head in a live interview on Sirius Satellite Radio this Friday night (March 26) at 10:00 p.m. EST.
Booth, a world-renowned tattoo master dubbed "The New King of Rock Tattoo" by Rolling Stone magazine, hosts his own weekly show on Sirius, entitled "Beneath the Needle: Tattoo Radio with Paul Booth". Booth also recently leant his artistic talents to DEICIDE for the cover art of their Earache debut, "Scars Of The Crucifix".
"Beneath the Needle: Tattoo Radio with Paul Booth" features phone calls and special appearances by authorities in both the tattoo and metal music demographics. Anyone can participate on the live show, airing Fridays at 10:00 p.m. EST on "Hard Attack" on Sirius Radio. Tattoo and metal stories as well as Tattoo trivia and calls from fans of two arts are aired weekly and on-location broadcast events, like a summer-long presence on Ozzfest 2004, are planned as well.
In other news, DEICIDE are the latest band confirmed for Dynamo Open Air, a one-day Dutch heavy metal festival scheduled to be held Saturday, June 5 in the Goffertpark in Nijmegen, Holland. Also scheduled to appear are headliners SLAYER, plus LIFE OF AGONY, DIMMU BORGIR, NIGHTWISH and CHILDREN OF BODOM. There will be a total of 14 bands appearing on two stages, "pretty much in the same set-up as in the year 2000 when Dynamo was held at the same location," according to a posting on the festival's official web site. Tickets are 50 euros. The gates will open at 12:00 p.m. (noon) and the first band goes on at 1:00 p.m.

Mario Klausner has announced his departure from PUNGENT STENCH, due to time constraints, in order to fully concentrate on his own band, COLLAPSE 7. The split was amicable and Mario will continue to perform live with the band until a suitable replacement is found. COLLAPSE 7's debut album, "In Deep Silence" will be released on 3 May 2004. The band describes their sound as "Apocalyptic Death Metal". The album was produced by Martin Schirenc (HOLLENTHON, PUNGENT STENCH) in the Vato Loco Studio, Vienna.

Judas Priest management coordinator Jayne Andrews has posted a statement on the band's official web site defending the group's decision to take part in this year's Ozzfest. "The band chose to do the Ozzfest during the Summer — nobody pushed us into it," she writes. "We looked into everything and decided this was the way to go! Judas Priest are not 'opening' for Ozzy. Other than Ozzy (who is of course the headline act), they are the main act. We have many reasons why we chose to do this tour throughout the summer in the U.S. We will be playing at great venues to a lot of people. What's the problem??? We could have gone out on our own headline tour and some of you may not have liked the bands we chose to take with us so it proves yet again — that you just can't please everyone! Why not just enjoy the fact that you will see the band at a great venue instead of bitching all of the time!"
