"Hails, goblin fans. Here's a quick update on what we've been up to: album album album. As many of you know, we've been hauling ass writing songs for almost two years now. Thankfully we can start to see the light at the end of the tunnel. We have 12 sweet tracks almost done for our sophomore album 'STENCH.' We need to polish off the last 3 and we are going into the studio December 29th with the great Zack Ohren to start tracking drums. We've been playing most of these songs live in and around our home base of Santa Barbara, to fantastic response. You can check out 'No One Survives' and 'A Feast' on our myspace."
"We're also going to be announcing a new (additional) keyboard player, as Nekrogoblikon is far too epic of a band for only two synthmasters... so now we have three. Nicholas Von Doom is going to be reducing his keyboarding role and concentrating more on being a ferocious frontman. You front row fans are gonna be covered with his phlegm at our next show, I promise."

England is not known for its appreciation of ridiculous Eunuch fronted European Metal, but if you don’t take yourself too seriously, have a good sense of humor and scarf-skin on your palate, England is the fucking place to be. Seriously, I love that country, I love castles, IRON MAIDEN, Monty Python's Flying Circus, Robin-Hood and British humor. And I am looking forward to set the clubs on fire and finally prove to the Brits - and even if only a few - that we are maybe the best, definitely the most entertaining band in the world! London and Dudley: Beware, the Krauts are coming!!!“
Suicidal Angels DVD In Production Stages
Greek thrash metal act Suicidal Angels has posted the following message online:
"We're back from our show in Vienna, which was a total fuckin' killer concert! We sincerely thank all the people that attended and reacted so damn well to our music. They thrashed and moshed and gave us such a good time, that we totally enjoyed it and can't wait to return there soon again! We even had to play songs not in the setlist and which we hadn't even rehearsed for a long time, just because they kept asking for more! What can you say but a big thank you to all these maniac thrashers!!!
"We really had a wonderful time in Vienna and many thanks go also to local promoters Gerald and Kristina (www.myspace.com/thrashcommand) for their accommodation and for being ready and willing to solve any problems that occurred whatsoever. We enjoyed our stay and they are to be given credit for it!
"All in all, a very nice experience. Now we go on, preparing for our Athens show in February and working the last details out for the release of our DVD Live Domination, which is now in production stage, and the recording of our second album. Soon there will be some interesting news for that matter, so stay tuned!"

Turbonegro Guitarist Recovers From Cancer
Turbonegro guitarist Knut "Euroboy" Schreiner has announced that he has now fully recovered from cancer. A statement from the guitarist reads as follows:
"As the year 2008 is coming to an end, I'm happy to inform you all that I've undergone successful treatment for lymphoma cancer. Last month I shook hands with the doctors and hugged the nurses and signed off at Radiumhospitalet, hopefully once and for all. When it comes to cancer patients, they're not willing to declare you completely cured until years have passed without further complications. But there are no signs of cancer in my system at least, and the chances of experiencing a fallback are rather small, and life has gone back to normal. I feel good and tell my friends that I'm cured.
"The treatment went fine; I didn't get too sick and was able to do a couple of shows this summer (the awesome 'Apocalypse Dudes' concert at the Øya festival in Oslo stands out). Not to mention that my interest for music, the band and the guitar has gone through the roof! Now I'm really looking forward to make music again and get back in the saddle and play some cool shows for you all. More...
Halford Guitarist Talks About Releasing New Album
Halford/PainMuseum guitarist "Metal" Mike Chlasciak recently did an interview with Live-Metal.net during which he discussed a variety of topics including whether or not fans can expect a new album from Halford. Some excerpts from the interview are available to read below.
Live-Metal.Net: Any idea on when we might some activity on a new release from Halford?
Chlasciak: "Rob's band, the musicians are quite prolific, and probably some of the most professional guys that I have ever been on stage with. There is so much material that has been accumulated over the past few years. It is just a matter of wrapping it all up and cutting out the songs that are not as good as the others, mixing it and then releasing it."
Live-Metal.Net: Well it sounds like we definitely have something to look forward to at least!
Chlasciak: "Yes, certainly. As you can imagine, we have to be very respectful to Rob's commitment to Judas Priest because we all know what that band means to him. We would all like to have one more stab at going out and playing some new music. We all feel, and this is including Rob, that the Halford band was a little more than just a solo artist hiring a bunch of dudes to play cover songs. We really have something to say as a band. It was just a little unfortunate, in my eyes, to release an album like Crucible and not have a fair shot at promoting it. That's all right and it's all cool and we have all been busy but when the day comes that we all get together and play as a unit, it is going to be really fun! Not only for us, but hopefully for the fans as well! It seems like there are a lot of them out there."

God Dethroned Frontman Posts Studio Update
God Dethroned frontman Henri Sattler has posted the following studio update:
"Rythm guitars, bass and lead guitars are all finished now. We took some time off from the studio to prepare some new things for us like different bass lines, harmonies and other stuff we haven't done like this before.
"Producer Joerg Uken learned some new things when it came down to my unconventional way of composing harmony lines.
One day we would record a melody line and the harmony just on the clicktrack to put it into the song later.
He goes 'this already sounds out of tune like this and we haven't even put it in the music yet.' I go 'just put it in the music Joerg.' It was nice to see this big questionmark above his head when we checked out the result. It sounded just great.
You can check that out yourself when our album comes out somewhere in April next year. More...

Megadeth Hoping To Release New Album Next Year
Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine has posted the following lengthy update:
"I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I know I did. I was able to wrangle someone else to come cook for the family, and Pam got a reprieve, so she was 'thankful' for that.
"And there really was an 'aire' of gratitude this year that has been missing to some degree before. There has always been some deal, or job, or gig, or something that would be interfering with the atmosphere, and this year, it was really the first time that I wasn't 'giving an interview' at the table. My family hates that; and I get uncomfortable talking about myself too. I mean, I do it everyday when I am out doing promo tours and press, and it just gets old hearing the same sh*t everyday for them, so I thank our guests for their tact and manners.
"I have been very busy with Justis' band and trying to get him off in the right direction. His whole world is 'clicking' right now. They have a name they like, got a bassist named Brian that James LoMenzo recommended - completing their lineup (although he is just 16 and been in three accidents already), and now it is just investing the 'time' that it takes to get ready to be released out into the world. I hope he has as much fun as I have, and that he refrains from making the mistakes I did. Although, I still stand by the things that I believe in, some of the stuff I did was the stuff that kids do. And the bad stuff was fun sometimes too. More...
Battlelore Keyboardist Checks In
Battlore keyboardist Maria has posted the following tour blogs online:
Barcelona, Mephisto - Nov. 20th:
"Aaaah, Barcelona and the sunny, warm Spain! After hearing that there were snow storms in Finland, back home, we were really happy to be on tour… As we woke up quite early and went straight to the beach, drank some sauna-beers and had breakfast in the sun. Wow. There were fans waiting by the club early on, so we knew this would be a great night! It was. The Spanish crowd is always amazing. So, to celebrate the great evening, we drank some sauna-beers ;)"
Madrid, Sala Live - Nov. 22nd:
"We return to Madrid! It’s always been so great being in Madrid, and this time was no different! Thanks to our friend Alex, who always takes such good care of us, the girls had some proper vegetarian food and the guys got great meat! The venue was packed, I think we had about 400 people in that small venue, and as it was Saturday night, it meant a huge party for all the bands! The afterparty was also amazing - Finnish Fire-crew showed Spanish people how to party!"
Erfurt, Centrum - Nov. 27th:
"Another of those really nice, old German cities, we’d never heard of before the tour. A beautiful centre with all the Christmas lights and stuff - it’s hard to remember it’ll be Christmas soon with all that’s happening on tour. Maybe we’ll have a soon-to-be-Christmas celebration one of these days on tour… Although there seem to be enough reasons to celebrate even with no Christmas coming, heheh! Anyways - a great show again, and loads of Battlelore fans around. We heard that quite a lot of people had driven to Erfurt to see Battlelore, since we had to cancel the show in Glauchau… Wonderful people, and we were allowed to play for over an hour to give the best songs to the best people! After the great show and nice adrenaline flowing through our veins, we had some sauna-beers and enjoyed the atmosphere."
Rage Frontman Gives Overview Of New EP
RAGE frontman Peter "Peavy" Wagner has issued the following studio update:
"Who has turned the clock..... unbelievable. Twenty-five years have past since I have started doing metal music during AVENGER times long way back. Who ever thought that Rage will capture their place in this shark tank of the music business, developing themselves to an established factor in the global metal world for a quarter-century. Certainly, a big part is because of you, therefore a huge 'thank you' from our side.
"Beside a nice jubilee tour next spring, we're going to offer some 'fresh food' in form of the Never Give Up EP, which will be released on January 16th, 2009, also available as a box-set, including the last Rage album Carved In Stone. On the Never Give Up EP, there will be new songs and some curiosities like the video bonus material of 'Carved In Speed'.
"Here some words to the songs..."

"The new album is entitled 'The Dead End Experiment' and contains 10 songs. The recordings took place at Portal studio for guitars, bass, vocals and Baseline studio for drums. Also, it's the first time we have a guest appearance! Ross Dolan [IMMOLATION] contributed some fantastic vocals on the song 'The Universe Within'!
