Six Feet Under Film 'Doomsday' Video

Florida-based death metallers SIX FEET UNDER have issued the following update:

"We filmed a new video clip this past weekend for the song 'Doomsday' from our latest release 'Commandment'. We once again worked with director Mario D. Framingheddu, who also filmed our last video, 'Ghosts of the Undead'. The concept of the clip is pure fucking insanity on all levels. We were fortunate enough to work with Grady Stiles, a.k.a. Lobsterboy, who plays our main character. This has to be the creepiest clip we've ever filmed, from location, to storyline, to cast. It's totally fucked up! We are really proud of this vid and are really looking forward to the release."

For more information about Grady's family, click here.

"Doomsday" video credits:

* Director: Mario D. Framingheddu
* Director of Photography: Kyle Walling
* Producer: Rachel Murray
* Starring: Grady Stiles and Joe Paez
* PA's: Joe Mendez, Sarah Murray and Gian Framingheddu

"Commandment" has entered the German chart at position No. 58 and the Austrian chart at No. 70 upon its release in April.

AC/DC DVD Box Set Due For October Release

Columbia Records will release "Plug Me In" — the ultimate career-spanning DVD box set of live performances, interviews and more from AC/DC, the world's most electrifying rock and roll band — on Tuesday, October 16.

The first AC/DC release since the band came to Columbia Records earlier this year, the AC/DC "Plug Me In" DVD collection brings together for the very first time an astonishing five hours of definitive live concert and television performances — many of them previously unavailable — chronicling the ongoing career (now in its fourth decade!) of a groundbreaking rock and roll powerhouse whose music transcends the test of time.

"AC/DC has delivered the most dynamic rock and roll music in the world," said Steve Barnett, Chairman, Columbia Records. "Columbia is honored to be releasing this definitive career-spanning retrospective featuring many of AC/DC's finest filmed performances."

Disc One of the AC/DC "Plug Me In" DVD collection begins with a performance of "High Voltage" performed in October 1975 on Australia's "King of Pop" awards show. The first disc of "Plug Me In" is devoted to the band's formative years (1975-1979) with original lead singer, the late Bon Scott capturing the group in its full early glory with more than 20 performances including rare black-and-white video footage of the notorious St. Albans High School concert on March 3, 1976; the very first UK television appearance in July 1976; pristine live full-color stereo concert performances from Glasgow and Essex University in 1978; and three songs — including the very first public performance of "Highway To Hell" — from Netherlands television in 1979. Bonus material on Disc One includes a Bon Scott interview from November 1977; extraordinary band interviews from 1976; and four songs recorded live in Nice on December 15, 1979, one of Bon Scott's last concerts with the band before his tragic death on February 19, 1980.

Disc Two of the AC/DC "Plug Me In" DVD collection covers the band's second great epoch: the Brian Johnson era which began with the release of "Back In Black" in 1980 and continues to this day. In addition to more than 20 performances drawn from three decades of concerts around the world — including an extremely rare Japanese television appearance from February 1981, blistering '80s and '90s sets from Detroit to Moscow, incredible footage from 1996's "Ballbreaker" tour (including the "Beavis and Butthead" intro), and 21st century barnburners in Paris, Munich, and Toronto — "Plug Me In" includes a fantastic array of bonus material including the AC/DC Donnington interview on the "Old Grey Whistle Test" (August 1984) and AC/DC's in-concert performance of "Rock Me Baby" with THE ROLLING STONES.

A deluxe collector's edition of "Plug Me In" — containing a third DVD of 21 additional rare performances spanning both the Bon Scott and Brian Johnson eras as well as a treasure trove of facsimile reproductions of authentic AC/DC memorabilia — will also be available for a limited time beginning Tuesday, October 16.

The AC/DC "Plug Me In" DVD box set is both a Holy Grail for aficionados of AC/DC as well as an ideal and comprehensive introduction to the music and history of a pioneering band that continues to define the electrifying possibilities of rock and roll.

Rob Zombie Explains Heaven And Hell Tour Departure

The Pulse of Radio (formerly Launch Radio Networks) reports: ROB ZOMBIE has confirmed that he will support OZZY OSBOURNE on a fall tour, telling Los Angeles TV station KTLA on Thursday (August 23) that the trek will begin sometime in October and last through December. Ironically, Zombie's name was initially in the running as support for BLACK SABBATH offshoot HEAVEN AND HELL on its fall dates. But Zombie told The Pulse of Radio that the HEAVEN AND HELL shows were too close to the completion of work on his new remake of "Halloween". "The HEAVEN AND HELL thing was unfortunate, because I really wanted to do it," he said. "It was kind of one of those things that was talked about, but I was shooting the movie and I have a feeling that it got a little too talked about. And when I saw the actual dates of when the tour was taking place, I was like, there's no way I can do it. You know, I mean, I can't, like, wrap up this movie and then expect to be on tour like a week later. I'll be so exhausted, it'll just be horrible."

Exact dates and venues for Zombie's tour with Osbourne have yet to be announced. Osbourne wraps up this summer's free Ozzfest on Thursday (August 30) in West Palm Beach, Florida.

HEAVEN AND HELL begins its fall run on September 5 in Binghamton, New York.

Zombie's version of "Halloween", his third film as a screenwriter and director, comes out in theatres this Friday (August 31).

The rocker-turned-filmmaker's first-ever live album, entitled simply "Zombie Live", is scheduled for release on October 23.

Dave Mustaine Issues Gigantour Update

MEGADETH frontman Dave Mustaine has issued the following update on the Gigantour.com web site:

"Today is Monday and there is one week left before we leave for Alaska. We will come home after that for 16 days and then it is off to the Pac Rim, and eventually to Australia, to start this awesome line-up of Gigantour 2007 in Australia, better known as G.2007.OZ!

"I know not everyone here is a MEGADETH or Dave Mustaine fan, but hopefully that will change after we play for you, or better yet, meet with you, and until then chat and post with you here.

"I don't use slang or abbr. much, due to there being so many ages and different nationalities here. I want to be as clear with what I say so that our friends around the rest of the world that cannot come see us, can 'live out' the concert through you loyal metal fans; through your ears and eyes, through the one thing that we all have in common — love for this kind of music!.

"Gigantour this year will consist of four bands again, as you may have seen the way we did it on our 'Maiden Voyage' last year. We played with Max Cavalera and his band SOULFLY, Michael and Angela of ARCH ENEMY, and the guys from CALIBAN (which I didn't get a chance to hang out with as much as I would have liked to) in 2006, and while I think most musicians dream of playing in 'exotic, far-away places,' the Aussie audience, it is something to be reckoned with. I mean beautiful tan faces of guys and girls of all ages, rugged lads and lasses from all over the Island, and they have such a 'Don't-fuck-with-me-and-I-won't-fuck-with-you' attitude in the pit, that while it seems friendly, there is also a very powerful and intimidating energy that you know could light a small city and it could change into a fire-breathing dragon!

"Whew!!!

"Seeing the guys in STATIC-X should be interesting because we haven't seen them since we last toured in the '90s and they were just converging on the metal scene - from my knowledge, that is. I also am friends with Dez from DEVILDRIVER and we met years ago when he was in COAL CHAMBER and Sharon Osbourne managed them. Dez promises to sit me down with a good bottle of wine, and there's no better place so far, since I really like Australia Shiraz (but what the hell do I know — as long as it doesn't say 'Maddog 20-20' on it I am good).

"And how can I forget LACUNA COIL? I think that everyone will be expecting Ms. Scabbia to join me/us to sing 'A Tout Le Monde' and while I hope that happens, I haven't asked her yet, so keep your fingers crossed! :-)

"Lastly, to the good people of Perth, as you know many years ago MEGADETH first came to Australia, and it was great! We fell in love with Oz, and we thought we were coming back soon after our first trip there; we just needed to get through Japan.

"Well, that is were the aforementioned Dragon of Oz first popped up, and we had to cancel Australia because someone (not me) ran out of illegal, medical type, sniffing or casually injectable street powder! So, naturally the blame was on us, (me, really and i wasn't the one who ran out!) and it was bad. We didn't return for a great many years.

"This time though, I remember playing with so much passion and excitement on Gigantour 2006 OZ. I have never felt so loved and anticipated by the Aussie fans in all my years of our records being available down under; from the several concerts we have played, to the 'almost self-imposed prison' we damn near put ourselves into. Yes, I am thrilled to come back to Australia, and especially to go to Perth: it almost isn't a real OZ Tour if you can't do both sides of the country. I mean it is nice, but Australia is about as old as the USA and about as big, and it would be like only playing NY, Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida and thinking that that is a US tour?!?!

"There is also going to be a celebration of sorts, because I can remember walking down a street to dinner with our partner, A.J. Maddah, in Australia for Gigantour for 2006 and 2007, and we were talking about the subject matter that makes up the song Amerikhastan. A.J. is a genius and we had some very stimulating conversations, some of which was about the Statue of Liberty, some on Halliburton's involvement, some on the republican scandal with young pages' pants being pulled down 'in secret,' by some guys 'in the Senate' and 'in the House of Representatives,' or more apropos, 'in the closet,' and how some democrats don't care, and will pull anyones pants down.

"So, that's it for me for the week. Stay tuned as we get the other bands aware of this great community here, and get the band-members, webmasters, and entire entourage with them, including all of the online fan-bases feeling welcome here.

"It is my personal invitation to become part of this forum and help us spread the cheer internationally of Gigantour as we all have a hand in building a festival for international metal fans around the world.

"There is also plenty of solid official MEGADETH information that can be found on us and about Gigantour that may not have been posted here yet, so please also check Megadeth.com, Myspace.com/megadeth, Gigantour.com, and Davemustaine.com (coming soon).

"Time for my morning coffee - I love you guys, and will see you soon!!!

"Aussie Aussie Aussie!"

Arsis Reveal New Album Title

Guitarist/vocalist James Malone of Virginia's ARSIS has issued the following update:

"Despite the numerous headaches caused by our van's breakdown this summer, we spent time working on perfecting pre-production for our debut release for Nuclear Blast Records, tentatively titled 'We Are The Nightmare'. We will begin recording the album on September 3, 2007 at Planet Z Studios in Massachusetts with Zeuss (who has worked with SHADOWS FALL and HATEBREED) handling the production. I feel that this will be the most exciting ARSIS album to date. We are now a full band and every member has contributed to the writing process for this album. While it is more varied than anything we have ever written, I feel the result is a much more focused product."

ARSIS drummer Darren Cesca added: "This is an album any fan of ARSIS or heavy music in general should get excited about. We've really captured the band's sound and improved it in all aspects. It's dark, melodic, and very technical at times, but we wrote songs you can pump your fists to. I've definitely pushed my drumming very far for this record and I know the rest of the band will be pushing themselves as well. One thing's for sure: this is going to be one fun album to listen to. As soon as we finish recording, we plan on shooting a video for 'We Are the Nightmare' in October, then we’ll be hitting the road with ENSLAVED in November and EXODUS in January. The album should be stores sometime in early 2008 and I am sure more touring will ensue after that. 2008 should be a busy year for us and we're looking forward to it!"
